Sick final game dudes  Grin Germany were literally seconds away from winning lol. Fucking hilarious actually  Cool
very surprising, and indeed hard to believe, this is a game and sport is difficult in tebsk. sometimes the team in the proposed can not provide the best performance. defeat at the end of time is sad  Grin

Bad luck for the Germans Smiley. When the tournament started, bookies rated the chances of Germany to win the gold at 60 to 1  Grin.

That was an epic gold medal final that had it all. This was one of the most entertaining games of the tournament and will go down as being one of the greatest gold medal finals in Winter Olympics history. Congrats to Russia on winning their first gold medal in ice hockey for 20+ years. Overall for me betting on this tournament is a loss as many games were hard to predict but I had fun with it all. I thought overall it was a great Winter Olympic games, South Korea put on a great show!

Hello! I was just talking about the Korean events. My own personal favourite crypto bookies haven't really picked up on it, but Nitrogensports does have a decent offering, the main events are all there: skiing, hockey, even curling (yeah, I know, but it's the only sports there I sort of really understand haha). For men's curling, I'm going to omit Canada (favourites to win) and go for a three-way even ML bet on Sweden @3.0, Switzerland @13.0 and Norway @15. If Sweden win, and they've got a good chance, I don't lose any money, but if the Swiss or Norwegians win, easy x10.

Canada's hockey looks good @5.3 too...
Germany even knocked out Canada in ice hockey, so glad I didn't decide to take that bet. They were at @60 odds to win so you bet there'll be plenty of Germans looking forward to the last game. OAR in the final too, so I'm really wondering if I should take these kind of tourneys more seriously next time!
Yeah same, after tossing a medium bet on OAR to win at the semi finals I was thinking to roll everything on canada lucky for me I forgot to bet on that match. It's up to you if you're looking to make a profit (big or small) from this event I suggest to take it seriously.

The hockey match right now is going to a penalty shootout/overtime score ended 3-3 in regulation hoping for OAR to close this one out so my prop bet would hit.

Well, well, no one would have guessed US to win their first gold with the curling event. I lost all my bets on Sweden, Swiss, and Norway... guess it always pays off to pick one crazy underdog in the US, I just never saw it coming. Anyone know what the odds must have been for them? Wouldn't be surprised if it was even 100+.

I'm enjoying watching these winter Olympic games however I'm not having much luck betting on the events lol I just have a bet to make watching more fun and entertaining, well I have only been betting on the ice hockey. Overall I'm at a loss but not a big loss as I don't bet much on the games and just do it for fun.
I would say this is the main thing with the Olympics, is to not bet on the games because they can be out of the ordinary results, especially in hockey with shootouts usually deciding the final result.
You definitely should just be watching them to enjoy the play of the different countries because they only come by once every 4 years. Wink
Hockey is one risky sport even though a team is down by 2 - 3 goals they could still win. It almost happened earlier with the canada vs germany match few hours ago where canada was down 0-3 and almost climbed back to tie it. I was also losing with my betting strategy but with my OAR prop bet to win the men's hockey I could break even.

Yes true ice hockey is a risky sport to bet on even when I bet on the NHL its hard to predict and that is why I go with the goals over/under but in the Winter Olympics even this has been harder to predict lol. Most games where I thought more then 5 goals would be scored the opposite happens. In my opinion the NHL is much easier to get the over/under goals. As we know the Olympics are always hard to predict the outcomes which makes betting even more risky but like I have said I mainly do it for fun as its something different to bet on then the regular sports.
I expect this to be the case with high scoring games above 5.5 goals is because each game that these teams play is like a finals for them. And they are playing for their country's pride so they give their all out effort in each and every game because they all know, it will be their last if they do not produce enough goals to get to quarter finals and it is decided in a shoot out like most of the games that I have witnessed so far have been decided in this way.

The German hockey team dropped the bomb today. I had the absolute pleasure of watching the game and I have to say it was a lot of fun. I think OAR are the winner-to-be come Sunday. Nevertheless it will be another cool match to watch  Grin
Yeah, it was pleasure to watch how Germany played against Canada. But in 3rd period they were really tired and Canada was very close to equalize score.  Yeah, OAR will win probably, I hardly can see Germany making another sensation.
3rd place game between Canada and Czech Republic should be interesting, I can't predict which team have better chances to win. But honestly, I would prefer to watch classic rivalry between Canada and Russia in final :/

Norway (35 medals: 13 golds,12 silvers, 10 bronzes) and
Germany (25 medals: 13 golds,7 silvers, 5 bronzes) are literally dominating these winter olympics!

For the third place, Canada (24 medals: 9 golds, 7 silvers, 8 bronzes) and
USA (21 medals: 8 golds, 7 silvers, 6 bronzes) are fighting.

Today we saw amazing finnish in Biathlon mass start race. Martin Fourcade won gold medal only after phot finnish when he overcame Simon Schemp only by few centimetres.

And today group stage in hockey tournament has ended and now pairs of 1/8 final and quarterfinal are known:

Winners of USA-Slovakia will meet Czech Republic, Korea/Finland will face Canada, Slovenia/Norway will play against OAR and Switzerland/Germany against Sweden.

After first week of Olympic games, for me most memorable moment was gold medal of ex snowboarder Ester Ledecka in alpine skiing slalom giant when she won only by 0.01 second. And her reaction after finnish was priceless - when she saw results after finnish, she didn't believed that she won and thought it's mistake in results. If you didn't saw that, I strongly recommend to watch rhat episode Smiley

I must say I'm not having much luck betting on the winter Olympics this time. I am mainly betting on the ice hockey as that is a sport I like to bet on with the over/under goals but its been hard to predict as some teams that ain't all that good have been playing well. I might try and have a few bets on the other winter sports and see how I go.
You must know that hockey in the olympics is not like in the other professional leagues like the national hockey league or the russian leagues(KHL) because they don't put on the players that outperform the others. They have a rotation that they must follow so ALL players, whether they are good or bad, must play in the game and given generally the equal amount of minutes on the ice.
Just for example the team I heard are playing against the korean team are putting in a professor by trade into the net for their next game. So that right there says it all. Cheesy
Also the womans team for another scored 8 goals against none in one game earlier in the week.
So it was definitely one-sided with this game inparticular and are should be an indicator that interleague play are never this lop sided. Lips sealed

Yes true! But I don't bet on the teams to win head to head and just bet on the over/under goals which is normally easier to bet on then head to head as like you said some countries don't play their best players and sometimes even rest their good players for later on in the tournament so that is why I bet on the goals. But even this has been hard to predict as I was certain that the USA/Russia game would score over 5.5 goals but it ended 4-0 with Russia winning. I don't bet big on these games as I just do it for fun as its the winter Olympics.

Yes I agree with this as I have seen some athletes do well but score very low which makes me think that they could be rigged some of the times. This is why I prefer to bet on the ice hockey as its like betting on the football with the over/under goals and the lines which I like to bet on. I think the gold medal bets are good for the countries which people think will do well.

There are certain sports where it is hard to notice if the athlete lost deliberately. We should avoid betting on those sports.  I do bet on gold medals but it also requires a lot of reserach. To make good money there, you have to bet of countries with good potential.
Betting on the winter Olympics is not really what i would recommend, there are a lot surprises and anything can happen which makes gamblers lose a lot of money as a result.Norway seems to leading the medals race at this juncture.
