In my opinion, in 2018, the top 5 cryptocurrencies will remain the main players of competitive tokens: Bitcoin, Ethereum, Neo, EOS, XRP.

I know dogecoin is a real shitcoin. Its a dog meme coin, no serious investor would buy this coin. Even the dogecoin creator called this coin stupid and said it would crash to nothing.

For me, definite TOP 5 cryptocurrencies in 2018 is Bitcoin, Ethereum, XRP, Bitcoin and Cash EOS is the highest capitalization, the higher it is, the better the percentage of confidence in the cryptocurrency.

I was asking myself what to do when cryptocurrency goes down and found out that the most of the privacy coins are undervalued right now.
The best opportunity is to find a privacy-related project with a low total supply (less than 100M), that way the price will be increasing much faster.
I recently found one project called Ethereum Meta, it is related to anonymity and untraceable transaction. They have a very interesting project to build the Anonymous E-Market Place.

Currently as everything seems to be languishing at massive discounts, here are my top 5 picks for this year. I expect each of them to do at least a 5x return by Nov/Dec 2018:

Currently there are many currencies at zero, but the best 5 will say. I believe that each of them will perform 5x by the end of the year: Telcoin, SiaCoin, CREDITS, NEM, XRP.

Unfortunately, apart from Holochain, no normal coin has brought profit to investors. I hope that at the end of September the situation will change dramatically.
ZRX is one of the most appreciated tokens. because the ETH parity looks 2x more profitable. I shouldn't have sold. ETH was cheaper. waiting to pump.

Well this thread is a few months old and I have changed opinion about several coins.
Bitcore and Credits are gone from my portfolios.
I believe Credits to be a fraud, focused more on marketing and PR than product development and use cases.
Bitcore is good, working technology, but unable to develop use cases.
The other 3 - SC, ZRX, and NEM I still believe in.
Also added several other projects since then: Cardano, Wanchain, VeChain, & PundiX to name a few.
Bitcoin of course makes up the bulk of my portfolio - ~70% in BTC now.
