For starters, I'm not sure that voters are ready to accept such a revolutionary presidential candidate as Young. Secondly, give everyone money? Are you seriously? Look at Europe. There, of course, many countries have a low crime rate and residents can choose whether to receive universal basic income or work, and as a result, more people choose unemployment than the opportunity to spend time improving their professional skills.

Apparently the text of the statement is not complete and Mr. Yang said something more than give everyone money. The American dollar can be driven into a bigger hole than now if such reforms are approved. In addition, why create the illusion that the American government will go towards the crypto community if it wins? The US has too many agencies that everyone wants to express their opinion about crypto and not let anyone use them normally

Is it so easy to lure people to the polls? Maybe first make the election process transparent and secure with the blockchain so that no one doubts the benefits of the technology? And then give them access to educational resources like taklimakan so that even a noob can understand with simple examples how the blockchain works, why it needs cryptocurrencies, how to trade bitcoin, etc. And then already tell the voters, I will give you money. It doesn’t matter how much you give out resources for free if society does not have it

That’s what I’m talking about. Well, many universities have started blockchain courses, but what about the financial literacy of the population? Cryptocurrencies are excellent accumulators of value, in fact long-term investments, but which of these people who say they will come to the polls will say I'm ready to invest my money in bitcoin? 20% at best, if it will be businessmen. It is not rational to make such statements when society is far from accepting the idea of crypto

Leaders dictate trends, and people always look at those at the top to determine their preferences and views. While the media is talking about crypto fraud and the fact that all investments are a game of roulette, it is too early to expect an adequate reaction. Change the information policy if you want to move forward. Otherwise, it will remain to swallow smoke from Chinese crypto engines

@squatter. He is also Chinese American. I reckon it might take a long time before we see a Chinese American president. I also reckon that we might see America elect a Hispanic president first before an Asian one hehehe.

STOP SNITCHIN'

I'm sure that'll win him the presidency! Roll Eyes

I've seen a few Yang 2020 stickers around. I get the impression he's not mainstream enough to win the primary nomination -- unless he waters down his platform tows the party line. If Sanders, Biden and Kamala Harris run, I'd give all of them much better odds than Yang.

Do not trust any politician. Particularly those politicians who have made their way near and around the top. They are the most corrupt and compromised creatures with no sense of real moral values in this world.

Just checked up on his background. One of his program (promise) is providing a Universal Basic Income for Americans. So in short, each month you can get $1k for your live. It's an interesting program for me who more or less like socialism. But won't this cause more inflation?
I don't know this guy since I'm not from US but I have heard and read this platform that he's trying to push once he wins. And the comments that I've read base on what he said are very disappointed and don't want that kind of platform. It will definitely cause a lot of people to stop working and will just depend on that compensation.
Andrew Young is a rather unusual name for a US presidential candidate.
Because it's more of a Chinese surname?

US election 2020: Meet the Democrats running against Trump and the ones who could join the race

Joe Biden, Bernie Sanders and Kamala Harris are among a slate of top candidates who could challenge the president in 2020

He will not have a chance. So let's pretend we do not even hear about his candidacy.

Bernie will drop out for health reasons and Yang will get the nomination. This is what could happen.

He would do better running as vice for one of the stronger candidates. He could then help them accept bitcoins to raise funds. They need help to compete with trump money

It is one thing to be the president of a country and having strong beliefs in specific thing, but a whole other story to implement and support that in practice. We are seeing this in practice with Donald Trump and the wall between Mexico and the US that he promised, prior to his election.  Roll Eyes

We need to target the advisors to the president and people responsible for federal and state laws, regulators and related courts. The Congress only create and pass bills and the president signs those bills into laws.  Tongue

Andrew Young is a rather unusual name for a US presidential candidate. The good news is that there are many supporters of cryptocurrency in the US Congress. Now in this country they are quite tough on cryptocurrency, it is necessary to change the general attitude to its existence. I hope that this will happen soon and the new president will be a supporter of cryptocurrency, and its regulation will soften a little.

Feel bad for those who looked up to him and bought into the coins he shilled. It's people's own mistake for doing so of course, but no one deserves this. He abused his status for money in the worst possible way.

No need to feel bad for them. It's not that difficult to get an indication of his true nature, so if you ignore that while he has been quite a shady and questionable individual for years now, not just due to his crypto adventure, you're asking for it.

He's wasted. If you look at a few of his recent videos, he can't stop touching his nose. This behavior is quite common amongst coke abusers. I can't tell if hes addicted to the degree he needs to fund his expensive nose candy, but it could very well explain why he is so desperately trying to shill even the most ridiculous ICO scams. I seriously doubt that he would do this if his net worth didn't shrink so badly.

Regarding Andre Yang, he doesn't really seem that interesting to me to be honest. Nothing he stands for tempts me as Bitcoiner to vote for him. I'm certain that more people are like that, and those who aren't into Bitcoin or crypto in general will ignore him anyway.

He is quite happy to promote any trash to his followers in return for the right amount of money - he was caught charging over $100,000 per tweet. The sooner everybody starts ignoring him, the better.
Absolutely. If his tweets are already worth like $100k, Imagine how much he got paid for his Skycoin tattoo. It's one thing to accept payment to shill shitcoins on social media, but a damn tattoo? It's so retarded.

Sure, he can get it removed eventually, but that requires a whole process of painful laser treatments that no one would want to undergo even if people get paid crazy amounts of money.

McAfee is a joke.
He's a criminal and a scammer. I'm not saying Yang is a good candidate by any means, but as he was tweeting about bitcoin price back in 2013, it at least seems like he had a genuine interest in bitcoin for the right reasons. McAfee is only interested/involved with cryptocurrency as a way to make himself more money. He is quite happy to promote any trash to his followers in return for the right amount of money - he was caught charging over $100,000 per tweet. The sooner everybody starts ignoring him, the better.

Really? Have we forgotten about McAfee so soon? Isn't he also running (and hasn't he run already?), or is his being an outlaw now voiding his candidacy?
McAfee is a joke. The way he's acting on and off the net makes him a total joke in terms of him running for president. IIRC, he's being sought by different authorities, he has to continue moving from place to place.

Not saying Yang has better overall odds, but certainly better than McAfee's odds. I'm actually tired of seeing so many individuals try to use Bitcoin or blockchain as an excuse to gain some momentum.

If they would have done the same without surfing on the crypto blockchain hype I'm sure there would be way less press covering these bimbos. I don't take these people serious at all, and so shouldn't others do.
