Boston Celtics and the Los Angeles Clippers have their backs to the wall tonight.  They're both in danger of going down 3-0 and pretty much kissing their season goodbye.  The Celtics going up against the Nets is a pretty good excuse for them, but the Clippers making an early exit again with PG and Kawhi is not a good look.  I don't think that pairing will be together much longer.  The way Luka has been playing, it would be tough for any team to beat them.  I'm just surprised the Clippers who supposedly have the most defensive talent in the NBA are getting cooked by a big slow young guy.

Yes, of course, they are already criticized and more if they will lose today. Clippers is supposed to be a championship team and that dream might be gone soon if they will not come back in the series. I expect them to be more careful now, play with urgency and of course, win the game.

Good luck to Leonard and George, may they have a good shooting against a hot-shooting Mavericks team.

If they will be sweep by the Mavericks, I'm afraid George will be traded to another team, so this game 3 is very important to both of them as their a big expectation from them, after getting criticized, it's very sweet if they will win and come back.

Rondo should play more, he can be a good used for good ball rotation and defense as well.
Clippers were surprised with the Mavs offense in the series everyone in the Mavs contributing and doesn't depend on luka, that is why he is always fresh and can rest every game, the emergence of Tim Jr, as a scorer, and how he is putting the fire when it's needed every time the clippers made a rally he is always there stopping the momentum during the wins of the Mavs, if he will be consistent every game, then it will be hard for their opponent to stop them.

The end of the road for the Miami Heat. Their good playoffs run last year becomes overrated to the point that most people think they will do the same this year.

Milwaukee Bucks are not even showing their best. Those 3 games are all relaxed and the Heat didn't give them a good match. It's totally fine if the Heat will not able to pass the Bucks but at least give them a good match. Those young Miami Heat guys are underperforming so much a big difference from what they have shown last year. I'm expecting a good playoff run on Miami Heat since those young guys explode last year in the bubble but the expectation is far from reality.

Maybe in the next season or two.

I think the best series in the first round of the playoffs is the Knicks vs Hawks.

Do you agree with that guys?

This is just my personal opinion, I just see that they evenly match although the Hawks steal one game on the road.
I also like how Rose is given more playing time and a big responsibility to lead the team.

The games are exiting because they are close and the fans are involved but the best series, I dont think so.
So many missed shots and turnovers, its not nice to look at.

I rather see the Nuggets and Blazers shooting the lights out.

Lakers will pushed that to happened if Suns won't find ways to stop Davis, his dominance inside
really a pain in the ass since Dennis and LeBron are doing their shares outside.
Drummond and Kuzma made it easier for AD because they were helpful in the restricted area, and Lebron also was very active in the second half. So even if the Suns find a way to stop Davis in upcoming games, it probably won't be enough to win this series.

It's hard to say about the Lakers-Suns rivalry that these are beautiful games. Lots of missed shots, many turnovers on both sides. However, the teams' willingness to fight cannot be denied. This was also the case in the third game. The first half was even, but in the third quarter the Lakers gained a 10-point advantage and did not give it back to the end of the match. However, the fight for each ball lasted until the last whistle. Antonio Davis was unstoppable today by the Suns defenders. Lebron is also back in shape. It seems to me that the competition will end after the fifth game.

That's playoff Lebron, I don't know but Jae Crowder will have nightmares when James is clowning you:

Booker frustrated, dangerous foul on Dennis and then Lakers playing bully-basketball. It's gonna be over in 5.

@Japinat - I agree, the Knicks vs Hawks is more exciting, Atlanta holds home court because they steal one at Madison, but Knicks are coming back to their home court and try to get one to get the advantage.

I would agree if Knicks will win at least 1 game on the road, if not, then there's a big possibility that the series will end in game 5. Well, game 1 was really close, game 2 was a good win as they rally to make it happen, so this Knicks team has a spirit to win as they do not give up easily.

They need it if they wanted to stay in this series, I can agree that if Hawks take 2 games at home, probably the series will end either game 5 or 6, Knicks needs to win on the road they've got the spirit and they need to continue playing more harder.

DRose should continue leading this young squad, with his experienced he can easily bring the momentum on their side. Playing like he's on its prime taking crucial shots and banking it.

A very classic DRose, hope to see more great performances from him.

Chris Paul looks better as compare to game 2 and hitting his favorite fade away shots, so that's a good sign that he is improving, so good job from the Phoenix Suns trainers.

Ayton still doing good against AD and Drummond in game 3, Lakers just lead 3 in the halftime. Still anybody's ball game here until either one of them exploded in the third quarter. But I'm expecting a very tight race, both teams didn't shoot well, evident of the defense.
But the story changed in the 2nd half especially in the 3rd quarter where the Lakers had a huge run.
CP3 only played 27 minutes and his contribution is not really enough to help the team to at least compete at a high level.

Seems like they are really frustrated as they can't break the defense of the Lakers.
it end up a low scoring game and when with that, it's always a Lakers game.
Honestly people are putting too much emphasis on CP3 and I do not get it. This dude has been in the league for 100 years by now and he never had a playoff success, not even when he was in a good team, he usually gets injured and we all know that is the biggest reason he never won anything, but to expect it to change for this run is a weird one, like why would he be suddenly better at this age? He was injured when he was younger, he certainly is injured now and he is also older and his team is not that great neither. Sure they ended the regular season at second place but we all know that teams didn't play that carefully this year, most teams like clippers and Lakers either had injuries or tanked for position.

This is why I think Lakers and Suns matchup was just a joke, it was like Lakers were second seed, and we all know they will win, it could be in 5 or 6 but they will win for sure no doubt.

Both teams are trying to win this game but at the end it's the Lakers who really dominate, CP3 have limited minutes
and Booker didn't produce that much to lift the suns,

While at the other end LeBron and Davis did not disappoint their fans.

Yeah, I watched the whole game. He suddenly misses those short-range shots which are his favorites and you can see him reacting to his shoulders after.
Then, he missed a free throw (93 percent in FT line) and shake his shoulder again.
That's all signs that it is getting stiff again and he cannot continue to play anymore so they sat him down.
Suns badly need a leader, someone who can calm them down whenever a storm comes. Ayton unable to catch a lot of pass and they are just losing the ball most of the time.
It's a sad reality and this is Booker's first playoffs game and he can't shoulder it all.
We will never see a 100% Paul in this series as he keeps using that shoulder, it will not heal easily though he can use something to minimize the pain or control it but Lakers defense will still hurt them.

Later, Hawks will be at home against Knicks. I'll bet for overtime.

Good luck mate, I like that too.

Thanks for your contributions, guys!!

Well, I always think that the playoffs separate men from boys.
Lakers have an excellent and experienced team, while the Suns, have a good team, but with a promising future ahead.
Look, I don't know, but I feel Chris Paul is not leading the Suns to victory, it seems to me, he is not in the old days.

The only way I think the Suns can beat the Lakers is if LeBron James or AD get injuried (I hope it doesn't happen)

Looks like Chris Paul need some weeks to recover that injured shoulder to regain back his skills and they can give Lakers their very best. Obviously that's not gonna happen, perhaps this is his fate when every time they are close to get a chance to compete to the NBA finals, he is prevented with some sort of injuries. Just like what happened when they were so close beating the GSW last 2018 if I'm not mistaken.

Today, we have a lot of exciting games.. Suns vs Lakers looks easy to predict, but I would not call it easy for the Lakers.

Call it another easy win by the Lakers, unless CP3 will come back fully healthy, which is unlikely.

With the Lakers' defense, we saw what happened in game 2, that's the Sun's home court and yet they struggle to score.
As the Suns will adjust, the Lakers will also adjust as they know where the offense is coming, Booker is quite limited so far, and Payne might not be as effective as he was in game 2.
The news came out that Chris Paul will play again and I hope it's for good.
It's not well last time as he cannot move well or even shoot the ball in good form.
I'd like to support the Suns on this. Show the Lakers they didn't make it to rank 2 just because of CP3 but because of their chemistry as a team.

I want to see Ayton put more effort inside even with Drummond and AD protecting it and put more numbers on that stat sheet. Don't let AD have a rhythm or it will be a bad ending.

Chris Paul looks better as compare to game 2 and hitting his favorite fade away shots, so that's a good sign that he is improving, so good job from the Phoenix Suns trainers.

I think that until CP3 recovers fully, Booker and Ayton will not be able to pull the series out on their own. Obviously, 27 minutes on the court for him is not at all what you can expect. And in this case, the series could end 4-1 for Lakers. But I want Phoenix to tickle LeBron's nerves a little.  Grin
