DeAndre Jordan will not pick up the option of the final year of his four-year, $87.6 million contract with the LA Clippers, league sources tell ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski. This clears the way for Jordan to begin negotiations with the Dallas Mavericks as a free agent. The Mavs had previously explored trade options for the Clippers big man had Jordan opted to play the final year of his deal.

Seems Mavs are seriously interested in signing Jordan.

On the other hand, LeBron James is now a free agent. We can expect some news after starting from Sunday opening of team talks about free agency. Not just on James but on the other players on the hot seat right now e.g Paul George, Kawhi Leonard etc.

Kawhi and George really wants to play with Lebron, if these rumors will become true, their destination would be in LA Lakers. The big decisions is just a couple of days ahead and everyone is very excited with the outcome. I wished Lebron didnt left Cleveland again, but he already opted out the contract. So, I guess he would be chasing another ring to add in his legacy.
While GSW is looking to add another piece, as they are pursuing Jamal Crawford. Another good look from the GSW 2nd unit.

Cavaliers co-owner Dan Gilberts stated that he wants his team to be back, meaning without the shadow under LeBron James. Many are expecting that Cavaliers will not be a competitive team now that LeBron will leave. They will take that as a challenge and wants to proved to all that they can do it without LeBron.

Just hope that no buttheart from Cavaliers fans and no burning of LeBron's jersey as well this time.

That is sad but it happens.
No hard feelings just respect the guy for bringjng a great game and give fans something to be excited with.
Their whole year tickets have been used until Finals and I think it is a win win situation. No need to bash the guy. Grin

Kawhi on the other hand will need to make agents see his full healthy so that he could get a good deal with whoever team wants him.
I wont be picky if I were him.

Actually there are reports that Kawhi is really healthy. The team doctor has already cleared him to play, but what San Antonio doesn't understand is that he seeks second opinion about his injury. He can even go back to play during the playoffs but he opted to sit out. That's why there are a lot of reports that he really wanted to be traded and get out of San Antonio. We really don't know what's his reason for acting like that or if he is not comfortable working with coach Pop, we can also speculate as why he really screaming and wanted to get out of the San Antonio Spurs.

What will happen in that decision cave?  Roll Eyes

I think Lebron is going to the Lakers and team up with PG13 for now. LA would be a great market for him, but his trips to the Finals would end this year then I guess

Friday deadline for free agent players to make a decision for their respective contract was intense. After that we will now know who will be the players who will be on free agency. LeBron James and Kawhi Leonard are the hottest on the line.

As of now, based on my own knowledge, big names so far who confirmed of their decision was, Carmelo Anthony, who will remained on Oklahoma City Thunders, Paul George, who will opted out of his contract and the vintage Dwayne Wade, who wants to retire in Miami. Don't have an idea to other free agent players.
I don't see any good news regarding where James will land now but I saw on BTV a while ago that Leonard is talking with the Lakers. Maybe there is a chance that he will go there

I researched some and I think some good news regarding the free agency is the trading of DeAndre Jordan in the Mavericks and the Warriors being interested in getting Jamal Crawford.

We know how these 2 play. Jordan dominates the rim and Crawford is good in crossovers although he doesn't do it that much with the Wolves because Coach Tim is focusing only on his starters. I think Crawford will fit on the Warriors with their bench players, they will got another ball handler. Jordan on the other hand will be a good center there I think with some young players and their rookie, Luka Doncic.
Lebron James is set on becoming an unrestricted free agent. This will make him part of a star studded free agents which will include Chris Paul and Paul George but i am hoping that he eventually signs for the Houston Rockets together with Chris Paul so that they will make a perfect challenge to the Golden States.
This will not happen. There will be a conflict between Lebron and Harden if they teamed up with each other and one more, the Current roster of Rockets are a championship caliber and they almost defeated the Warriors. Its just that CP3 didn't play in Games 6 & 7.

I am waiting where Lebron wants to play now since he left the Cavs already. I'm predicting 76ers or Lakers but as they say "Expect the Unexpected". We will see after the next few days.

Wow, LeBron decided to decline player option of Cavs, so that means he will most likely be joining some other team. That will most likely be Lakers, but not necessarily. I am very excited Cheesy

Also, I am nothing less interesting about Leonard and George. Next days will be very interesting Smiley

Yes he did but I'm not surprised. His thinking of 2 possible teams right now.

Lakers - which I think is the front runner. Good management, overall, plus Lebron will be surrounded by Lonzo Ball, Brandon Ingram, and Kyle Kuzma. However, this players are still green so they still have the options to get at least a George or Leonard.

Sixers - with Joel at the middle and then Simmons. And at least he gets to return to the East lineup again and try to go for the Warriors in the finals again.
Lebron's decision will change the future of the cavaliers, if he will be out and join the Sixers, he can have a young and talented players with
playoffs experience. There is a lot of speculation around but I don't want to excite myself, I just wait on the day that Lebron will decide.
We are still waiting for the final decision and for sure it will be broadcast and cavs will find its own way to make sure that with or without lebron they can still be competitive inside this league, maybe time will tell if they are still in luck to keep him or they need to adopt new superstar that will lead the team
for them.

Well he could but he will see what to happen soon enough hopefully run would make something of himself making the NBA more exciting. I am very excited too because of the possibility of the big three like you said where Leonard and George actually come together in the Lakers.

That move will be bad for the career of the two superstars of George and Leonard. As we see superstars teamed with James will most likely decrease in their talent because James is always hugging the ball and not giving his teammates a chance to shine. Like what happened to Kevin love and smith which is now on the twighlight of their careers.

Well deciding to be a free agent doesn't mean hr's leaving the cavs though. As far as i know, contract wise, the cavs are still the team that can give him the highest max contract in excess of 200m in 5 years. And he's already said that his priority this time in making a decision is his family, which is based in ohio. Opting out is basically the best choice for him to maximize his options
Let's see, but I think the money thing is not the important thing for Lebron anymore because he already made good contract in this career.
Joining other team is a wise decision, I am sure if there will be a disparity, it would be a little amount but he can get back his reputation by winning championship again.

I think Dallas Mavericks will now have to focus on getting DeAndre Jordan as their one target, DeMarcus Cousins likely won't able to play in the upcoming season eventhough the expected time he can play is by January by next year. Cousins wants a possible max payment but I doubt a team will likely to offer that if he is questionable to play next season. Remember that torn achilles is a major injury that destroys every player's performance.

That is too much.
Houston is already a great challenger for GSW since they almost got the WCF. 3-4 is not a bad stats and they did their best. It just lack when CP3 was injured but they almost got it.
No need to change their roster from this point. They will just need to be healthy until the playoffs.
A Lebron James in their midst will force them to free their good players which have been helpful. Add the chemistry to restart with the superstars. It is not that easy to do that.

Correct, Lebron and Harden almost play the same position so its going to be hard for coach Mike on how to divide the time between the two, besides they will offload some good role players that will disrupt their chemistry. They should maintain this roster and hopefully they will stay healthy all throughout the season to be competitive against GSW.

Leonard have indicated that he really wants to play with the Lakers but we really don't know for sure if Lakers wanted him and at was cost. But all eyes are really on Lebron James. Will he be teaming up with Leonard on LA uniform? In make sense for DeAndre to move already. CP3 and Griffin already left him in Clippers and there's no point in staying there.
