35th triple-double for Westbrook in 71  matches  played (average 31,2 points  10,5 rebounds and 10,4 assist)
Westbrook still has 11 games to make 6 double triple and equal the record of Oscar Robertson.
His are some incredible numbers, and for me is definitely the MVP!

His stats are impressive because he's the one solely carrying the team. The only thing that's keeping him down in the MVP list is the fact that they're seeded lower than the other candidates.

Dallas is back on the winning track what a win at home and they were able to beat the red hot Clippers. That was close though, although I lose my bet on them taking live at -2.5 but I'm happy they are still in the competition for the 8 spot. Meanwhile, I guess the Blazers will win tonight since they are having a comfortable lead over the NY Knicks, they have the easier journey than the other team for 8 spot.

Nah, I admit that he has an incredible statistics but that is not the only factors to be considered on choosing a MVP for the season. His team ranking is low and it means that his triple double stats is not helping that much to carry his team. I will bet for James harden for MVP ratherthan westbrook
So he made another one last night?
I thought he was sitting out the rest of the fourth quarter because they were beating the 76'ers 13 points at the half and dominated the 3rd quarter so let him rest with only 8 rebounds.
With 11 games left he can do it but not if they let him off for an entire quarter at the end of those remaining games.

Rockets are up 123-118 with just 1:29 left to play. This is where it gets exciting  Cheesy

That was a close fight, the Rockets almost lost to this game. But the game ended 124-125, imagine 1 point lead only by Rockets. Nuggets made this victory hard for the whole Rockets team. I now realized that Nuggets isn't just a simple team but they've got something to prove, I hope to see more good plays from them.
Indeed, the Nuggets are leading from 1st to 3rd quarter and I thought they can get this win, as a team they showed how threatening they are and I think they can make it to the playoffs. Harden made a good stats with impressive shooting but he cannot handle the Nuggets because they played like a team, what if it was played at Nuggets home. I like to see them play again and I hope it will be in the playoff time if the positioning will allow them.

Too bad that they lose 2 games with Rockets and look on their next game. It's with Cavs, I don't want to underestimate Nuggets cos' they showed us a very good game. But with the next game against Cavaliers, I'm pretty sure that this game will be getting by Cavs. Maybe for Pelicans they can get some come back win from them.
cavs would be more furious to keep aiming for a win before the play off they needed to have chemistry with their players
so they can play well together, Nuggets will face really a hard way if they aiming to be qualified for the play off bu its still
early for assuming lets see how they will bounce back.

Surprisingly my prediction went wrong and the Nuggets did nail this game and got the win against Cavaliers. Surely they aren't the team that should be underestimated, the score went 126-113 and of course in favor of Nuggets. Well I guess the Cavs is hungry for some wins and especially with their upcoming games.

New York Knicks Vs Portland Trail Blazers

The Blazers are in the race for the NBA playoffs but the Knicks are not. This explains why the Blazers is giving such generous handicap against the Knicks.
Although the Knicks have nothing to play for and will be using their rookies, this handicap is really ridiculous considering that the Blazers are not very strong. They rarely won their opponents by a blowout.
I am going with the Knicks +11.

With only few week away with NBA playoff i found out on CBS some interesting image if playoff should started yesterday

This should be an interesting match up, but the regular season is not over yet and there are still a lot of games to be played and the number 8 spot is where the thrill is. I am more interested in the West as I believe they are more exciting than in the East where Cleveland Cavaliers will just certainly dominate.

I'm thinking that the New Orleans Pelicans should also be considered, they've been playing great so far but if they cannot make it, denver would be my choice, it's boring if the Blazers will advance, we know what will happen already against the Warriors.

Clippers vs Jazz would be a tough one. Jazz are in good form and have a good overall team. San Antonio vs Memphis is always a classic. Looking at the fixtures, all the games look competitive on one level or the other. The teams have been a lot more balanced this season(ignoring the fact that KD joined GSW and the Cavs superteam). Cant wait for the playoffs.
seeing this figures always keeps me thinking that even gsw and cavs already have the super players that ever assmble but dark horse will always present with NBA and i think west still have houston and san antonio while east have celtics and raptors, lets see if how those teams will try harder to match over the super power.

Western Conference:
-8th place: Denver or Portland. Denver has two games ahead. Denver has a more difficult schedule than Portland.
Denver will play 6 games out of 10, while portland play 7 games of 10 at home including the direct clash of 29 march.
Portland seems slight favorites for me.
Denver and Portland are both a good team and whoever take the last spot in the western playoffs will deserve it. My thinking now is that the Denver are playing really good compared to the blazers who just recently lose at home by the Bucks, on the other hand denver just defeated the depending champion by dominating the paint and we know it's one of the best weapon to win. In the playoffs the atmosphere will be different, it will be more physical and adjustment will happen from time to time and I think the Denver have that edge now.
The Dever Nuggets are still a few games ahead of the Portland Trailblazers and they just widened the gap with a huge win against Cleveland while at the same time the Blazers lost to the Bucks. It would be nice to see how many games the Nuggets could win come playoff time, considering they have had little playoff experience for years now.

Western Conference:

-already qualified: 1) Golden State 2)San Antonio 3)Houston. I am convinced that this will be the final positions

-from 4th to 7th place: Utah Jazz, Los Angeles Clippers, Oklahoma, Memphis. Utah Jazz is in bad shape and has a bad calendar.
My favorites for the fourth and fifth place are Los Angeles Clippers and Oklahoma-

-8th place: Denver or Portland. Denver has two games ahead. Denver has a more difficult schedule than Portland.
Denver will play 6 games out of 10, while portland play 7 games of 10 at home including the direct clash of 29 march.

Eastern Conference:

-already qualified: 1) Cleveland  2)Boston  I am convinced that this will be the final positions

-third and fourth place: Washinghton and Toronto. Toronto is in great shape as opposed to Washington and then toronto has more chance of getting third.

-Playoffs from 5th to 8th place: Atlanta, Indiana, Milwaukee e Miami should keep their places for the playoffs.

What was with Cleveland sitting out all their best players for last nights game?
The bench was full of them just sitting off looking like dummies and while getting paid to warm it. Angry
And they ended up losing the game.
What is wrong with these past champions? Roll Eyes
They said during the game those players deserved a night off but if they are going to lose the game I do not know why they didn't just have them dressed and come off the bench.
Come on now! Angry
It was obvious they were going to lose the game early on when odds were 8.6 when they were down 12-4 when their bench warmers for most games were only 2 of 14 attempts. Now that are really pathetic stats for a professional basketball team. Embarrassed
Commissioner of their NBA league did go on to announce last Monday he will be making it mandatory to not have players who can contribute to the outcome of the games to dress for games and ready to be available to play in games. Sitting in fear of getting hurt is just a spit in the face of the team. So that is as if I was to stay home and not go to work out fear of being hit by a bus when I make one step out of my door. That is just a poor excuse to come up with if you are just want to be paid to sit and 'rest'. Come on! Get real.
Your making millions of dollars and the fans pay their money and travel across the global to see you play. So play and don't play lame duck at work. Tongue
I'd get fired if I hanged at the water cooler all day and put off the my work on others in the same department as me.
That is just plain wrong and unethical as an employee you are paid to do your job! Angry

Dallas Mavericks 87 - 112 Golden State Warriors
The Golden State did not leave control in the second half, Mavericks did not allow the match to become a partner for a second. Warriors, who seemed to have found himself after the turbulent days, scored the victory series to 5 and reduced the difference between Spurs and the Spurs to 2.5. Steve Kerr, 28th away winner of the season, was the only team to win 28 away games in 3 seasons.
It is looking like the Warriors are again having a solid hold of the number one overall spot in the whole of NBA. They have been able to adjust their game without Kevin Durant. The playoffs is fast approaching and we are seeing a lot more intensity from a lot of teams, with a lot of players getting into small fights.

Yes, they were able to adjust without KD and also they got past over their shooting slump as compare the previous week. Stephen and Klay has regain their shooting touch. Good thing that they were able to adjust before the playoffs so that they have a solid chance to go to finals again. The win kept the Warriors 2.5 games up on the Spurs for the West’s top seed. And what a dunk from David West, highlight of the night for me. Grin Grin

They proved it twice against the OKC and now the Dallas, once again I lose in this game because I am backing Dallas Mavericks to win.
While the warriors are winning the Spurs are coming behind them, it should be a very nice to watch the two competing the number 1 spot because they
know how important it is in the playoffs. Now, I'm convince that good team do adjust and learn from their mistakes, it should be good for them as in playoffs it's all about adjustment.
