While I agree their defense is not their best asset, I'm not sure they are below average, they can lock down teams when needed it's just as you said, it's not their style of play. However, they are really a team unit, and teams that play as selflessly as them can't be bad at defense. They may not be the best individual defenders one by one by they are very good as a team. You forgot about Green, Bogut, Iguodala, Barnes and I don't really agree about KT, he's a decent defender too.
