Miami heat vs Denver nuggets it will be a good matchup as we all know that both teams are strong enough to prove themselves that they are worthy of That trophy. and the most favorate here is the Denver nuggets as we all know how they play they are too strong that Even Lakers can not compete them. But Miami heat and their star Jimmy Butler want to compete nuggets even they have small lineup than nuggets but still they have a chance to win. And in game 1 we can predict what happen next.

Game 1 may provide us with an indication of what could transpire in the series, but the Nuggets must exercise caution, as the Miami Heat have shown proficiency in snatching victories on the road. In fact, they defeated the Celtics three times on their home court during the Eastern Conference Finals, implying that they could replicate this feat against the Nuggets. Their objective is to secure at least one win on the road to gain a home court advantage, ideally in either Game 1 or Game 2.

It will be a battle between who is more dominant in-terms of defense and who can stop the duo of both teams, either the Heat or the Nuggets, if they can be able to do it impressively then we may have an idea who will likely win in this season's NBA Finals. But it will be a rough road for both teams for sure as they know that stopping each other will not be an easy path. Having said that, I think a sweep impossible in this phase.

I guess that there should be an assigned guy that will defend against Joker and that might be these big guys, Love and Adebayo. Or even not as big as these two but those athletic guys that can at least delay or stop Joker wherever he goes especially outside the perimeter. I have my respect to Heat and they've been into the finals for many times while the Denver Nuggets, even if this is the first time that they're in still look at how people are respecting them as well for thinking that this is going to be easy for them.

It's worth noting that Coach Spo doesn't use Love much. Based on stats, Love has averaged 15-20 minutes on the court in previous playoff games, and he didn't play at all in the last two games against the Celtics. So I think either Adebayo will mostly defend against Jokic, or the Heat will use zone defense. In any case, the Heat should find some way to stop Jokic. Otherwise, it will be very difficult for them to beat the Nuggets.
We'll see if he'll be used this much or not, there's no other player that we can think of stopping Jokic. Unless they really have a good plan or zone defense just for Jokic, they shouldn't forget that it is not only him that they need to focus with if it's outside shooting because there's also Murray plus the other bench players that Michael Malone is just keeping for this very finals. Maybe the same goes for Love that Spo is just keeping him and he might be of use to it. One more day before the happens and everyone is just so excited to watch the very first NBA finals game of the Nuggets.

I think Miami is a different type of team, it is not really that easy to decide how they are going to go. I do agree that they are going to be on the heel, Nuggets is a better team but this team wasn't even in the playoffs, they were at play-in tournament and then joined as 8th seed and then managed to be at the finals.

That's usually not something we see, so it is normal that we see them as underdogs here and Nuggets as the potential winners but that was the case for every single series they played so far, they have been the underdogs on every single series and yet they managed to win. I still think Nuggets will win, Jokic is just on a whole another level but that doesn't mean that Miami will give up without a fight neither, they may win.

Heat pull-off to kick-out Celtics and reach NBA finals, while Denver is probably most happier with this, and they are pretty close to first title
didn't even considered possibility for Heat to win game 7, but they won it with style, and Celtics didn't show anything, pity they won three in a row, and made things interesting, while not being able to make game 7 interesting to watch

onwards to finals, could be a sweep, but no more than 6 matches, IMO, Denver to title

It could be a tough match-up for the Denver, Bam vs Jokic will be the one that I want to see. And then we have the trio of undrafted players in Caleb Martin, Mas Struss and Gabe Vincent maybe playing Jamay Murray.

I don't see a sweep though, Denver might win their first NBA title, but it might be 4-2.

And I think majority see Denver winning?

I definitely see Denver winning. Bam has his work cut out for him with Jokic and I think it will be a good example of solid fundamentals versus freak athleticism. The difference to me between Denver and all the other teams in the league is MPJ and Ben Gordon on the wings. They’re both so athletic and can shoot the ball, it’s almost unfair that they are both on the same team.

Yeah, just what I thought, true, Bam is athletic but Jokic is complete center. Lots of move that might throw off Bam and put him in the spin cycle. Porter Jr is also another freak player, but it's just he is so inconsistent, but he will be taller and faster against the trio that I mentioned so he has all the advantage, same as Jamal Murray.

Heat is now 4:1 underdog in game 1. I know that there are going to be a lot of bettors who are going to see this odds as very attractive. But it's hard to bet against the Denver Nuggets on game 1.

But the Heat proved their worthiness in the league and the rest is a history for being the only team in the East to play in the second round of the playoffs. And again, they are being tested by the time and by the people's doubt because just like what the people believed when they were matched against the Celtics, it was the still same opinion now where almost everybody is saying that it will be a mismatch. So, let's see it first because I am actually predicting that the Miami Heat can take the first game on the road.

I don’t think anyone thought the Heat were unworthy. Just that their roster is an odd mashup of players that don’t seem like they could be the NBA’s champions. I agree and think that Denver is going to easily beat them. Your prediction of the Heat winning game 1 is a bold one, but I think I’m the end Denver is going to prove to be too much.

I think what you are saying is pretty much the same thing. The Miami Heat as a whole will be nothing without that odd mashup of players that you've mentioned and at first, I will not be blaming anyone nor to force the idea that opposes mine or yours. Bottomline is, we all have our own perspective towards the Heat, some are thinking that they are just a live underdog who sometimes got lucky, and some are also thinking that they just had the difficult part towards where they are now unlike the what the other team did. Either way, look at them now, they have survived the Eastern Conference and will now face the strongest in the West.

How do you guys see game 1? It will be interesting to see the battle of strategies in this series. I'm thinking coach Spo will try to focus the defense on Murray and the supporting players. He knows they can't stop Jokic no matter who he puts to guard him so may as well let him take all the shots to tire him out as early as possible.

For the whole series, I believe it will be dominated by Nuggets.
For the game 1, Nuggets probably already formulated strats against Heat since they (Heat) just came from a 7-game series.
Initially, I think this year is Nuggets'. But who knows what Heat can do.

There is no other way than Nuggets win by 15 or more. They are well rested and while Miami was playing, Denver could practise and watch game film about the series vs Boston.

Of course Miami will be hyped up. They have been huge underdogs vs the Bucks as well as vs Boston and both time they got the upset. Playing in Denver will be a whole different story though. This team clicks, they have no injuries and the best player in the NBA and in the playoffs (in my eyes) . There will be no stopping them offensively, but Denver will be able to stop them.

Of course we all want to see an exciting series but um not sure we will get to see it. Might be over faster than we want.

Both teams deserved to become the champion but there can only be one. I am a fan of both although generally, I am more of an NBA fan first before teams and specific players. I just always want all the teams to become very competitive and I am glad that most of the teams nowadays are capable of entering the playoffs. And just like you, I am also a fan of the underdogs, not just in basketball.

But if I were to pick a team, I would side with the Denver Nuggets. They are the #1 in the west and proved it by reaching the finals. And kudos to Denver's management for bringing very good role players into the team to help Jokic who always gives his best without much complaining while the other superstars are always pressuring their teams to provide another superstars and capable role players. So the team management is the big difference IMO. Miami is always contending in the east despite being short-handed with players only because their coach is just super good and flexible and Jimmy Butler's extraordinary leadership.

Of course, everyone is going to choose the Denver Nuggets to be the winner against the Miami Heat. That is not a surprise at all. The actual surprise is how well Miami Heat is currently performing. I just cannot shake the feeling that Miami Heat is going to show some surprises. They have been very inconsistent and it is really hard to predict the results of those games which are inconsistent. And these are the teams which can actually end up making history.

Everyone is saying that Nuggets are going to be the winners. But I believe people are in for a surprise Smiley

It's going to be a battle of adjustments in game 1. Both coaches are great in adjustment in my opinion. It's just a matter of who execute it. The only edge of the Heat is that they have been in the finals before with Jimmy, while this is the first time for the Nuggets.

So there could be anxious moments for the Denver team in the beginning, maybe in the first 2 quarters. But once they got in and settled, they might have to run and put a good double digit lead and win game 1 comfortably.

Definitely, it will be a battle inside, Bam will have the duty to stop Jokic in the low post, but it's going to be very difficult as we all know that Jokic has a lot of moves. As more Murray, they have  the experience already, in the Boston Celtics series, they have to contain, Tatum and then Marcus Smart in the whole game 7.

For sure coach Spo has a strategy already. It's that Jokic will be their biggest problem as they don't have enough big body to contain the former MVP. So most likely the Nuggets will take game 1 in their home.

That is totally possible judging how the series of the Heat vs Celtics goes, espn.com even gave the Heat a 3% chance to win the series as a sign of underestimating the #8th seed but they forgot that they already defeated and eliminated the #1, so I'm thinking about how could they possibly do that to the Heat when in fact the Celtics is just the #2.
So, anyway, Nuggets must make sure that they won't be making numerous mistakes that could cost them a possible defeat in Game 1 as the Heat already established their efficiency especially if they are given a chance.

Heat will take everything if given a chance, so I agree that Denver needs to be careful.

Game 1 will be the test for both teams. Taking the strong start will give them confidence and will lead them to keep pushing
to win the series. It's something that both mental and physical should coordinate each other to assure that they will bring
the best that they can do to take the upper edge in winning the title.

On paper, it may seem obvious that the Nuggets would dominate, but at the moment, there's nothing I can criticize about the Heat as they have reached this level of competition from being the 8th seed in the regular season.

It's a Cinderella story for the Heat. No one expected them to reach this level, yet they have made it to the NBA Finals. It's not just Jimmy Butler; many undrafted players have helped him achieve success. Players like Gabe Vincent and Caleb Martin have been consistently productive on both the defensive and offensive sides.

I have a feeling that what the majority is expecting may not actually happen. They believe it's a mismatch, but we might witness a very interesting series. Who knows, Miami might once again surprise the majority of us.

Who can actually believe and be confident about the Heat's journey this post-season if they just barely clinched a spot in the playoffs in the elimination of Play-in tournament because when they have been defeated by the Atlanta Hawks, I already though that the Chicago Bulls might be too much for them given their situation at that time.

But the Heat proved their worthiness in the league and the rest is a history for being the only team in the East to play in the second round of the playoffs. Denver Nuggets will be champions this year.
I think the series will end 4-2 or 4-1.

Most likely this will be the result but sometimes the game is all about strategy and when they depend on him with a player from Miami Heat, we know that no one can do that but I'm sure they have an alternative plan like what they have done game 7 vs the Boston Celtics. Game 1 of this final will determine their fate and if they survived it, then their chance to win the championship will greatly increase because most people think they have no chance against the current Denver Nuggets and they need to prove that they were wrong and can really execute the great plan to beat them.

Right from the beginning, they have been the favorites to win in each round, in contrast to the Miami Heat who have consistently been seen as the underdogs, more like the number 1 seed versus the number 8 seed. It's not a difficult decision to make, and I believe only a few will choose the Miami Heat to win. That's why I like their chances of being competitive and potentially extending the series to a maximum of seven games.
Small ball line up is quiet ineffective now since many teams already see the weakness on this kind of line up and Heat will really struggle on roster match up. Even Lakers cannot do anything and been wiped out by Nuggets, but still let see how Heat could find ways to defeat this more hype team in West. Their experiences might help them so maybe they should take advantage with that since this is the first time Nuggets reach this far so maybe there maybe a pressure to them so best to add up some pressure defensively and in offense.
The Heat are quicker than the Nuggets due to their small lineup, and they have been highly effective, evident on how they reach to the Finals. Game 1 will reveal how well the Heat match up against the heavy favorites, the Denver Nuggets. Jimmy needs to deliver a legendary performance to lead his team, although we have witnessed in the conference finals that there are occasions when Butler struggles, yet his teammates are always there to support him.

Jimmy and Bam can play decoy as they know well how to pass the ball, I mean it will be depends on how they will setup their plays
and execute the rotations of the ball.

While same with Jokic and Murray, though, we know them well to bring the first line of their offense, but who knows, maybe they will surprise the Heat.

We can give our opinions and assessment after game 1, when we see them playing in their championship mode.

I don't think there are many players who can keep Jokic. I don't think Bam Adebayo can defend Jokic.
Denver Nuggets will be champions this year.
I think the series will end 4-2 or 4-1.
4-1 is my prediction.
Well, Anthony Davis is a good defender with his 2 blocks per game, maybe better than Bam so they will really have to find a way to stop that monster Joker. I think one way of cutting the offense of the Nuggets is to double him but we saw how bad Murray could be if he will be left alone.
Miami Heat should be careful with switches. If Jokic finds a way to dispose of Bam on his side then it could be a sure deuce for the Nuggets.
I am not underestimating the Miami Heat defense because we saw them locked in in games 1 to 3 and then in game 7. But when the Nuggets play at a high defensive level, they are also not to be underestimated.

The Heat are quicker than the Nuggets due to their small lineup, and they have been highly effective, evident on how they reach to the Finals. Are they? Didn't we see Jokic starting most of the transition plays of the Nuggets and sometimes he will be the one taking the ball to the rim? I think the Miami Heat's upper hand is their strong defense but we will see if it will be effective against the Nuggets.
Game 1, I will be betting for the Nuggets, if I see that their defense is effective then I might bet for the Heat on the next games with the handicap included just to be sure.
