Brooklyn Nets is actually doing surprisingly good. 4th place in the eastern conference and 31-20 right now. And, bam!, Kyrie wants to be traded until the deadline, which is 9th of February. I know this is a natural part of professional sports but I personally don't like this. He wanted to be traded last summer but changed his mind and stayed for one more year. What could be the reason to drive him away so hastily. Some times a decent amount of loyalty is good. Just when finally Nets can do something in the playoffs, Kyrie is running away.
Kyrie has a 15% trade bonus which would have to be paid by the Nets if Irving doesn't void it. He is currently averaging 27.1 PPG. A big loss indeed for Brooklyn that could greatly affect their chance of surviving in playoffs. Rumors said that he is interested in the Lakers. If ever it will happen, the Lakers might have a bigger chance to get a spot in the Play-In tournament. What I'm thinking is will they find their chemistry in time?
Brooklyn would be doing themselves a favor by trading Kyrie IMO. Also, the Lakers would likely be fine. Kyrie and Lebron have played together fine in the past. I doubt we would see an issue. The question is, does KD want to play with Westbrook again?

I think AD and Westbrook have move on and probably is willing to work it out again given another chance. But I think it will be a bad move for the Lakers to get another player with attitude and that is Kyrie. They should be better getting other players that is low key and just wanted to help them to win another ring. Kyrie had history already, against the Boston Celtics and now the Brooklyn Nets. I think the Lakers has a good chance for the playin or even playoff if they continue to win after the All star, they are just 2 games behind the 8th spot.

Kyrie to the Lakers ain't happening.  Nets probably would want a young star or some good draft picks none of which the Lakers have.  Trading away AD and getting kyrie doesn't do the Lakers any good.  They still have an issue with their bench being terrible.  Wonder how Durant plays out in all of this.  Nets might want to restart all over and get a sick package back for the 2 of them.

^ Ya, that is crazy news that Kyrie has formally requested a trade with only a short time before the trade deadline. It isn’t totally unexpected though. KD hasn’t been healthy, Ben Simmons is a mess, and Kyrie wants to win championships. I think he needs LeBron. We’ll see what happens but I’m sure Lakers fans everywhere are hoping that a Kyrie for Westbrook trade happens. I can’t imagine it does for many reasons, but I’m not sure who is in a position to trade for Kyrie.

Last 2 or 3 games for LeBron James to become the topscorer in NBA.
Kareem Abdul-Jabbar was a legend and set the bar high but LeBron James is coming to break all these records. Legendary times indeed.

This is the most exciting thing that's happened in the NBA probably since Kobe's final game.  I can't think of another time that's been so looked forward to by so many people.  Will Draymond Green really miss a game to watch LeBron break the record?  Will tickets top $100,000 resale value for his record breaking game?  Is he going to do it with a big night in legendary fashion or will it be a somewhat non-event that gets played off by LeBron?  Will there be tears or will he not really care because it's a personal achievement?  I just hope I'm able to watch the game.  This will surely be one of those moments you look back on for a long time.
It is one of the biggest moments of sports history, not only basketball and nba, every sports. What he has accomplished is amazing. And it seems like he will go strong for couple of more years, that is also crazy. What a legend.

Lakers won indeed but they made a comeback because they were down 15 points at some point and let's not forget that Pacers had the last chance to score and AD made a huge block in the last seconds that kinda won them the game because that ball was 100% in without AD block. Now , I'm not taking anything from Lakers away because it was indeed a great victory and a hard working one but I also must admit that it was AD who won them the game.

Davis performed well, considering he scored 31 points, grabbed 14 rebounds, and made an important block that decided the outcome of the game. I think that's a great example of how much Davis is needed for the Lakers. So Davis could be called the hero of the game, but it should be noted that there was also an anti-hero who tried to do everything in his power to ruin the game, and his name is Westbrick. Just look at his stats, he scored only 2 out of 16 shots. Cheesy

Nice to see the Lakers get the win but LeBron only scored 26 so he’s going to need a big game against the Pelicans on Saturday if he’s going to break the record against the Thunder like people think. Personally, I think he gets the record against the Bucks easily and puts up similar scoring efforts in the next two games. Nice to see AD back and the Lakers winning.
He started slow in this game, not sure if it is because of the good defense they put on him or he wanted to involved his team more. So in the process he didn't score 30 points or more.

Might be good to see him break it against the Bucks, remember Kareem played too with Milwaukee early on his career. So still there could be some connections if he break it against Giannis team.
There is definitely no pressure on him breaking it anytime soon, dude could break it the very next game by scoring insane points, or could break it 5 games down the line, who cares? He will be the person with the most points, I think it shouldn't be really that much of an issue when he does it, because whenever that happens, it will be a huge deal without a doubt.

Everyone wants to see it before the all-star break, and basically just celebrate the deal during the all-star break and have it being a talking point, so having it afterwards would be bad, like if an injury or something happened and he missed some games, but so far it looks like it will be beforehand and we will love it for sure.

It was good to see Cedi Osman becoming one of the players who have made the most three-pointers in Cavs history. It was a great night for him especially with 7/7 three-pointer stats.

There are still many games to be played maybe by the way but we have got past the first half of the regular season already. And I can't say Lakers are doing a good job still. They are still a struggling team and their chance of qualifying for the playoffs is complicated. They are only one win away from the 10th position actually. But they need to be consistent to maintain their chance for it. However it is difficult to expect that much from them while they have lost more than the half of their games played so far.

If that doesn't impress you as an NBA fan then maybe you aren't a NBA fan at all. There is also an interview where Lebron really wants to be a pass-first guy, but that changes overtime.

As far as solid LeBron James critics are concerned, they will always have a counter-statement to that.

And I believed, the most counter-statement on that would be "LBJ is playing in a soft era where scoring is easy" not realizing that LBJ even experienced the tough defense in the 2000s. If I'm not mistaken (please correct me on this), it was just around 2010 onwards that the talk about NBA being soft started but can we blame the players today if scoring is really that easy?

Aside from that, what a crap for me that others say that LeBron is just chasing scoring now instead of winning. What a damn argument. If you are a player that has already been at the peak of a career and at least already built a good legacy and is almost close to achieving something hard to bear, of course, you will pursue it. While LBJ is doing attempts at scoring, it's impossible that he doesn't want to win. Referring to his stats this season, I would say it's balanced and not focusing only on scoring.

Not a pure LeBron fan just to be clear but just appreciate the greatness. Open for criticism lol.

Brooks trying to be the Draymond Green V2.0 isn't he? Cheesy
Cheap shots here, cheap shots there, trash talking other teams. Still the word that made him popular is the term "dynasty" which is un-applicable to them.
They will be hated in a bad way, GSW was hated before because they are too good during their runs. But it's the opposite with Memphis, they are too cocky, Morant, Bane, Jackson, Brooks and Brandon Clarke. They haven't proven anything and yet they talk about dynasty and trying to be the bad guys in the NBA. It's was obvious a cheap shot and they have been running their mouths throughout the game and so Mitchell just snap when he felt that shot thrown on him. And with that, they completely destroyed Memphis in this game.
No one likes this team, they are a young team and yet they are acting without respect. Yes, they have been in the playoffs consistently, but what can they achieve so far? They are not even a champion yet, Brooks is dirty, even dirtier than Draymond Green, but at least Draymond had already proven something, and that is winning a championship.
Maybe there's still fans that like the team or those players inside the team like Ja' though I can agree with the words that you
use about disrespectful things that they are doing right now.
You can only talk about something if you already proven something, but with this team, they are keep using their mouths and
nothing else after.
Trying to be a bad boys but in a cheapest ways of their own versions.

This team knows very well how to run their mouth. But they have no idea how to back it up. This type of talking can be very beneficial in the fighting game. But in a sport like the NBA, I don't think it is very useful. Especially when you cannot back it up. I hope they will try to perform better and prove that they can back their words. Or I think they should stop running their mouth.

Still in awe that "The Process" Joel Embiid was only on reserves this year when we see his stats they really are fine tbh. I think it all comes to voting too and yes there are lot of snubs again this time, this isn't the first time too that this happen. For me, Ja Morant should have been a starter considering he's a crowd favorite and could entertain them, I wonder why he's a reserve.
He just needs to be thankful because, unlike the others that have not even been there are now getting frustrated and they even posted about it on the internet like James Harden. What they can do anyway, is what the fans want and they are paying for the ticket, so they wanted to see their favorite players instead of those who are old star players that haven't been winning the championship all these years. They should not be having high pride in these fans' decisions and the best thing to do is support the all-star games so they will become memorable not only for them but also for the fans.
We have to respect the result because it's not only based on the fans' votes, there are a lot of factors that are being considered. What if he is just a reserve? he knows that he is good, and if he will play well, then most likely he will get heavier minutes.
Well, I am respecting that decision but just want him not become on reserves. Yeah, there are really lot of snubs and disappointments this time but likely fans want a new face on the court. I think Markannen was well deserve to have on the All Star considering how he leap his career, this guy really wins I guess for most improved player this year.

I agree, that's why AD is really vital for the success of the team because he can defend and create offense to win. In fact, I even trust him than Lebron James taking the last shot. What happened to Pat Bev this game? he missed 2 crucial FT's, good thing they won the game.

My team Bulls finally have won again and they moved once again in the last spot for playoffs just because Pacers lost to Lakers as the game itself was not so entertaining and LaVine having another mediocre game.
Bull had an easy win because Charlotte is not really a good team, good for them, at least they'll improve their ranking to secure a good chance to be in the playoffs.

Same here, I thought that Haliburton will not play, so it's easy to bet on Lakers handicap, but to my surprised he played and so it change the complexion of the game. Good thing is that the Lakers win in a very close game, Lebron and Pat Bev hit crucials and it's a nice decision for the Lakers to challenge that call although it's already a clear 2 points for Bev there. But then again, if could be a different outcome if they didn't raise a challenge.

Currently there are a lot of mistakes being made by the referee and the funny thing is, the Lakers is always the victim of those bad calls.
They have a new favorite because the last time I check it was the Warriors who were the victim of bad calls, but now it got cleaner.
I don't like the referees assuming some players like PatBev, Draymond, or anyone who had been in dirty calls to take a bad call too although it's bright as day that it was clean. I mean, that will always be a waste of a challenge if they keep on doing that. Something must be changed, every game should be like a new player facing them.

LOL, I don't know what's happening in that mind of Dillon Brooks and if I remember it right it was also asked on Ja Morant during a press conference. I think his answer was, "he (Brooks) is only competitive at a high level and there's nothing wrong with it, he is just misunderstood". Something like that.
Mitchell has all the right to be mad at that play, it's too obvious that it was done on purpose.
