This time, Trae Young didn't take many shots, but he did 12 assists and organized the team well. Everyone in the team scored, there was a very balanced distribution. Dejounte Murray scored 30 points with 67%. In Dallas, the effort of Doncic, Dinwiddie and Wood wasn't enough. Dallas lost 3 times in a row, their decline continues. Something is wrong with the team. Jason Kidd must resolve this situation. They don't get enough contributions from the bench either. Atlanta won 4 times in a row and came close to the play-off spot again. For them things are going well for now.

Or probably Jason Kidd is part of the problem? it seems that he can't bring the team into chemistry, just like in this game, they have a good chance to win although I have the underdog Atlanta to beat them.

And that has been the story of the Dallas, the bench is not helping, or at least if they, it's always feel short of expectations.

There is always some missing pieces and it's hard to pinpoint whether it was the coaching of the players themselves.

Dallas IMO is a better team with him. In terms of a roster, I think they already have a good one but most are young and do not have a good experience in the playoffs. Luka is also young, maybe Luka will only win a championship if he will follow the style of Lebron to create a super team. Right now, Dallas is not a superteam, they have the best player Luka but he is not surrounded with a consistent players.

A good example of a team that has good role players are the Nuggets, their best player is Jokic but he can rely on his teammates to help him win.

The Mavericks are building a team around him so he has the power to demand the whole management to be active in trades. He's like Le-GM Version 2.0 now. Kidding Cheesy.

He will eventually become like LeBron who will have a huge influence inside the management.
I think it's too early for that for his career to bring a demand like that, he has not proven anything yet, like carrying his team to the finals, like what LeBron did in 07, until he realized he's not getting any help from the Cavs management.
The Mavs are in a better spot right now. Luka just need to make his teammates getting involved more offensively.

Here's to hoping that Luka won't end up demanding a lot from the management and getting all the attention get up to his head. He's still getting better each time, and we haven't seen prime Luka Doncic yet. Hopefully the Mavs management take advantage of their current position while Luca is still happy with the current setup and build the team around him with better teammates that has the offensive power and can make plays for him as well. The man also needs to be more active in terms of leadership in order to have his team motivated to play instead of just relying on himself to win games for the team.

Not sure if he is happy or not, he is still very young and probably not demanding any at this point. But there will be a time that he might ask Cuban to surround him with better role players, who can really help and contribute not just playing just for the sake of being in the team.

He already shows that he can carry the team, but it's not always that he will have to do that because his body can only take so much in the grueling 82 games and then we have the playoff.

He probably is demanding a star player like him, like what Lebron, Durant, and Curry have at the moment. Luka alone will make him predictable, and I'm pretty sure he will just always try in the playoffs but he will not be even be in the WCF.

He is getting closer and closer to reaching the all-time points leader, above Kareem Abdul-Jabbar, with 315 points left to tie.

LeBron James is averaging 29.7 PPG this season but if he continues to establish monster production at some of their games, like above the 30s, 40s, , etc., he might be able to pass Kareem Abdul-Jabbar within their next 10 games. That was an insane production at his age.

We are all lucky to witness that kind of achievement in this era. Good storytelling in the future. Wink

That record is something that I believed can't be broken for another 20 years or more, I guess (but my boy Luka Doncic will get it lol). Advanced congratulations already for LeBron James and damn, I hope no injury will spoil that achievement.
Numerous sports accomplishments abound in our generation. Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo were on display, and in basketball, Lebron James defies his age and continues to produce outstanding performances. Lebron James is the only person who can stop him from becoming the leading scorer in NBA. The record might stand for at least another 20 years longer if Lebron James continues to play into his forties and scores more than 40,000 points in total. If not, it could be broken in less than 20 years. Athletes are evolving and Luka is just one of many players.

The Mavs are in a better spot right now. Luka just need to make his teammates getting involved more offensively.

As long as they're winning most of their games, his teammates will not gonna say anything against him at least for now, because all of them need to climb to the top to be able to be recognized and get some nice offer in the future. But before that, they really need to do something for their 3rd losing streak because if they don't change, they will gonna find themselves in a 10th spot soon. They need to take this chance to win every playoff game and have a chance to get to the Finals and finally, Luka can talk about anything he wants regarding the NBA games after that.

But the problem is that the team is really inconsistent, as we have seen Luka will have a great game and still lose, or win. Which means that he wasn't able to get the help he needed. Now they are in a 3 game losing streak and we don't know when they are going to break that one. They are still in the 5th place though in the West, but the Warriors are tied with them and with still like a month before the All star break, many things can happen and they could be out of the magic 8 if they continue to perform this way.

I won't wait to get old before I demand something if I know I am good at doing my job. He is not wrong here. There's a chance he might not be able to prove anything in his whole career if he won't voice out now. While he is still young, in his prime, healthy, faster, and better mentally.
The inconsistency of his teammates is too obvious to not see. Just looking at the stat sheet will make you wonder what they are doing while Luka is resting his feet on the bench.
I am worried though how this will affect the team in their last few games before the All-Star or trade deadline. Locker room issues will absolutely happen after Doncic discusses the need for help.

A couple of televised games on ESPN tonight. The first one is between the Hawks and Mavericks. Not too exciting but at least there’s Luka and Trae.

Speaking of the Dallas Mavericks, Luka Doncic is reportedly pushing the Mavericks to be active in the trade market before the trade deadline.

He badly wants an upgrade and that's no secret even to the community.

Mavericks are not that really good at getting a good role player in the market. They are just trusting the process. And as I noticed, they are just always active in doing trades, not before the trading deadline but in the off-season. Let's see the action of Mark Cuban here and the whole Mavericks to Doncic's request.
Who will be traded? That's the question. There are so many inconsistent players on their roster and the Mavericks management should listen to Luka Doncic on this part. He is the playmaker, he knows what is missing. If there's someone who has great usage to him, it's Dwight Powell. Stats-wise, he ain't registering good numbers but upon watching that guy, there's the activity on screens and tapping the ball back outside for an offensive rebound.

Anyways, Mavericks are now at the 5th spot despite having a bad start and at the bottom at the start of the season. They have many players to trade with. Hardaway Jr., Bertans, some draft picks. There are some rumors as well that Wood might not get an extension with the Mavericks thus, they might use him as well to get some players.

Either way, Doncic is the one who has a big impact of the team and the role players are performing better now compare to how they performed at the start of the season but if they want to be a playoff contender, they might tweak the roster a bit and get some better role players

A couple of televised games on ESPN tonight. The first one is between the Hawks and Mavericks. Not too exciting but at least there’s Luka and Trae. The later game between the Timberwolves and Nuggets is a great one to watch. Both of these teams are young and hungry. There should be some nice highlights and good competition. The Joker seems like he’s back at full strength after his last performance.

I find the first game more exciting than the Wolves vs Nuggets game because honestly, I am not expecting that it will be a close game, most likely, the Nuggets will just dominate again and will win by a huge margin. Well, I hope I'm wrong though so we will see an exciting game.

I believe you also got your wish, as both televised game literally very interesting, I think I enjoy the Denver Nuggets vs Timberwolves a bit more, even though Denver Nuggets won the game with 9-0 in the last two 2 minutes or thereabout they were given an intense run for their money, I for a few moments thought Timberwolves were going to secure the win, despite being ahead since late in the first half and never looked back, but Nuggets did a very solid defensive task on Anthony Edwards for almost the entirety of the second half as they kept him very silent.
The Nuggets also played a very fantastic clutch game, even with Nikola Jokic in foul troubles having 5 fouls and needed to sit until the final minutes, Jamal Murray stepped up very well and was vital in the Nuggets getting the win.

The Timberwolves actually fighting back.
Both teams are weak on the defensive end but they can put in a high amount of points due to their offensive powers. I think the winner will be those who will play harder defense and try more stops to gain a good run.
Minnesota is on the lead to start the 3rd quarter.

Glad to see our boy playing so well. Alperen Sengun seriously has a potential to be the best Turkish player to ever play the game. Memo had an all-star selection, and Hedo had MIP if I am not wrong and he was the second best guy on a team that went to finals. So its really really hard to be up there, even though Turkey hasn't sent that many guys in its history, it was still quite obvious that two that got famous became very very good and its hard to pass that. But this kid is playing with some serious talent at 20 years old, both of those players weren't near this good at 20, so that means in the next 10 years Alperen could keep on developing, if he doesn't relax and just coasts, but instead gets better? Dude could be some high level talent for sure.

Pretty much he is really doing great his latest game was a great stretch on what he can truly do inside the court but because of a lack of chemistry within the Rockets they are performing well he also made a triple-double on one of his games against the Sacramento Kings which still because the Huston Rockets really isn't the best team out there but Alperen Sengun is trying his very hard in getting those crucial points for the team, and you are right he's got a huge ceiling to fill for improvement and I think he can be next season,

What are they thinking? is this their way to keep everything balanced?  Cheesy Grin

Ja Morant is surely one of a kind and the fans are always looking forward to seeing him dunk on someone every time he plays. Thankfully he always has been negative and we can see more of his amazing dunks in the future. Though they are different from Vince Carter, I'm glad I'm seeing in the NBA who can actually dunk without hesitation whenever he got the chance. He really needs to do more of this because he will miss it when he gets old as Vince does.

Pretty much being on the top of the standing can really mess up your brain and for the Memphis Grizzlies they surely think of them as a dynasty because of that and that they achieve something to that extent of having a dynasty, and sure thing Ja "Almost" Morant will always like to do those dunk to the face on any player he possibly faces, right now if he always does that without any hesitation sometimes it will fail hard I really don't like the Grizzlies but with their antics, like they are number 1 in the west and they are not afraid of any team because there are no team that will post a threat for them in the west, and they are a Dynasty right now what Dillon "Dynasty" Brooks is saying I think their brain are mess up for saying premature things, that they haven't achieve yet,

Age might hit him but he's still far from that. There are too many good candidates for this era and the eyes are not only him, we can name them all including Luka.
