That has been our expectations for 2019, I think the ground plan has been put in place and that is why bitcoin price has been brought than for new institutions investors to come in. 2019, is actually a year for us to see another upwards movement and also another time for us to invest.

It is not a rumor anymore that many institutional players will come in to crypto's.

If someone tells that Wall St has backed out of crypto, are they the only big institutional players in the world? ignore about them, they are just trying to gain attention but you'll know later that they have been buying and accumulating to fill their bags.
Not sure about that if you are seeing the fact that most of rich person in the world located in US, A lot of companies with very big marketcapitalizations are located in US too and remember most of big bankers in the word are located in america right now.
Don't just look at US. They aren't the only big institution in the world, don't forget that there are other first world countries that has a bigger and better economy.

They have been popular because they are "US" but it doesn't mean that they are the only market and players that you should look at.

Fully Regulated Crypto Casino
Yeah, I might agree with that statement, or I hope that is what will happen. 2018 was the worst year for crypto I think, the decline after skyrocketing price in the 2017 make people think that Bitcoin and crypto is in a bubble, and it is just a matter of time for the explosion and kill all of the investor. I also agree that all of those are mainly because the unclear regulation related to crypto. However I haven't heard some big news about crypto regulation except in china and korea, but I still wish what Arslanian said was true.

i believe there will be two options for next year,,
first crypto market will get worse, second crypto market will better,,
if institutional players really come to crypto world, maybe the second options is the answer
so, we can see a green candle in crypto world next year

Yes most of the big financial players are sooner or later going to enter the crypro markets but i do not know what is taking them so long. Maybe they are busy to clear all the compliance, taxation and regulation policies before proper entry but who knows. I am saying this because during all of this year 2018 i was listening to same news every other day about institutions entering crypto but nothing solid occured we can now only hope they enter as soon as possible and uplift the market.

These non-working ICOs are a real disappointment, but i guess we should understand that products take time to develop and that the investments are purely speculation. EOS raised billions and they don't have a working product yet. Hopefully 2019 will bring in the professionals that will drive crypto towards mainstream adoption

How are crypto markets better for institutionalists than traditional venture capital markets? Risk higher, prices also higher - most of still non-working ICO cost like huge already working companies.

indeed there are many large institutions that are interested in the crypto market, but unclear regulations make them hesitant and worried about their investments. I hope that next year there will be many countries that support and legalize crypto in their countries, so there are many large investors and institutions interested in joining.

After the year of overheating due to speculations in 2017 and the dismal performance in 2018, many people are expecting (maybe wishing I would say) that 2019 can be a lot different. And in this case there can be many predictions and expectations as to what will really happen with the market. Yes, there is a possibility of more institutional involvement with the cryptocurrency market in 2019 though am not sure if this can all directly affect the prices of many coins or tokens as these institutions have their own interest to protect too -- in fact these are the same institutions that Bitcoin is supposed to get away with...and now there is a big possibility that at the end they can be the ones controlling Bitcoin and the whole market and then drop it when the going get tough. Sadly, we still live in the world of reality and there is no way to escape the control and influence of these institutions. I am hoping to be wrong though.

2019 is a year of adaptation for the crypto world, not a year of speculation as happened at the end of 2017. The coins that can survive are coins that are useful for real products and adapted by the community in general

I think next year many new investors will appear on the cryptocurrency market.

Large venture funds will invest and many projects will successfully create their services.

Henri Arslanian, the Asia fintech and crypto leader of PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC) Hong Kong, has predicted that many institutional players will enter the crypto industry in 2019. Arslanian made this claim during an interview with Bloomberg published on Dec. 24.

When asked about his outlook on crypto for the next year, Arslanian said that he thinks “there’s a lot of exciting things that the crypto ecosystem is looking forward to in 2019.” Arslain explained that he expects the next year to be different from 2018 because of the increasing regulatory clarity.

Arslanian also declared that he expects “many more big banks” to enter the space, some by launching their own solutions, others by partnering with or investing in crypto companies. This involvement, he explains, will bring in “institutional level expertise” which — according to him — is much needed in the industry.

PwC is an international network of companies that provide consulting and auditing services. The company — which has its headquarters in London — was founded in 1849 and is one of the “big four” accounting companies. Their Hong Kong office has accepted Bitcoin (BTC) as payment for its advisory services since late 2017.
