Giannis was last years MVP wasn't he? I mean back to back MVP happened many times before but I feel like these days NBA do not really care about that as much and try to give it to more and more people instead of keep giving to same people.

I know Dallas is not really doing all that well but I feel like maybe Doncic could have a chance, dude is very very young so he will have many years ahead of him to win an MVP which is a great thing but also looking at the current candidates he is one of the best because he improves his team more than others, other teams are still good without the stars (not as good of course) but without Doncic, Dallas is literally a top pick type of team easily.

Voting for Lebron due to Kobe's death, might be possible for him to get this opportunities to pay tribute to the man's legacy.  He can still grab this opportunities and prove his supremacy, my personal opinion though. Good luck to those who will going to bet for this event.
At the end of the day, he should still prove that he is the King and not only because he is currently on the Lakers (where Kobe rise as a superstar). Because if he got the award just only because of his tribute knowing that there's someone out there who deserce better, others might not still appreciate him.

Anyway, in my oponion, the Greek Freak will receive the MVP Award. I mean for me he is the greatest superstar in the East thus will surely have more plenty of time for to show his skills than the others. More exposure, more points and more points means greater chance to get that award. I hope you seey logic Cheesy.

^ We are just the same, I voted Luka Doncic.
Even if Luka Doncic was in the wrong team, it wouldn't affect his percentage of chance in winning the All-Star. His stats are too good that it made him on the list of NBA All-Stars. Probably it is just not Dallas's time this year. 43-28.8 for 2019-20 isn't bad. I guess former rookie/younger stars deserve to experience the win. And I would bet for Luka Doncic, I can't even wait for the result.

I will go Giannis again.
Lebron James have some good number with almost a triple double every game.
But Giannis is a monster when it comes to double double. 30 points average with 14 rebounds per game.

I will take out Luka even though I really want him to win. Injuries.
Most presence is LBJ and Giannis except something bad happens which we don't really want.
With votes, it might also go equal. (or Luka will win the vote)  Grin

Edit:
Sorry. I thought it was just an MVP. I guess I was sleepy when I read this.  Cry
Luka is my vote.

It may be easier to take a pick if we look at this year's roster first https://www.nba.com/allstar/2020/roster#/

The MVP is usually chosen from the winning team and the team assembled by Lebron has a better line up on paper. Since Luka Doncic is also there, I'll have to pick him. He is a starter and this is also his first time. He may want to prove to the fans that he deserves to be in the all star game.

Antetokounmpo was the favorites in betting but East needs to win in the competition in order for Antetokounmpo to have a chance of winning, I doubt that, really.

I believe the West will win so I would pick someone from the west, however,  I won't pick a starter as I like a bigger odds and since most likely this game will not be defensive and players love to shoot 3s, I would love to give that advantage to Damian Lillard @15.  Smiley
It's not really east and west now. The line ups are mixed and the only thing that's making it east vs. west is the team captain for both teams.

Giannis all the way! Bucks is a solid team which composed of talented players but not all-star unlike other teams. Giannis really carry his team in every match in regular season which can be verify on his stats records every game.

I hope that he can maintain this kind of gameplay during playoffs because he was always shutdown once he is on tighter defense just like what happened in last year playoffs. I cut my balls if LBJ or Anthony davis get this years MVP award.

You have to read the thread title again mate "ALL-STAR MVP".

Season performance is not the basis here so even how monster a player is, All-Star game is different. Limited playing time and the whole purpose is for entertainment purpose, unlike the old days where we can still see a hard game competition.

And if I will respond to your last statement although OT, LBJ and Davis do have a chance for Season MVP run too if they were able to pass Gianni's stats. But likely it will be difficult. Season MVP is stat-based and will not depend on how far the team goes.

Why there is no Russell Westbrook in the poll,? anyway, I would choose him to be an MVP as he could be a machine especially in exhibition games like this.

Westbrook was there mate.

EDIT:
Ahhh. I will not cut my balls for this, Surely Anthony Davis will get the title since LBJ will get the support role IMO. Giannis is always sucks as team captain and he should be ban next year for a team captain role.  Cheesy

BTW thanks to the guy below for pointing out. Its really hard to read and post in mobile. Please excuse my stupidity Grin

If Luka Doncic was in a better team I would say he is the favorite to win. He is having a fantastic season but I don't think he will be MVP. Would be great if I am wrong but I don't think so. I am still voting for him though. As someone who likes the Jazz, i am glad Gobert is even being considered.  Grin
This is only in the upcoming all star game, his current team has no connection with his performance in the NBA All star and he has a chance as he belong in the west where there are a lot of good players per stats compared to the East, if I am not mistaken, he is a starter so he has a chance especially if those who already won an MVP award will give way and give Luka more opportunity to create plays for them and shoot the ball more often.

if he can tally a triple double, that could give him a big chance of winning. at X7.00 odds, that should be a nice reward for Luka believer.

What do you mean by a better team? Both teams are better. It's just a matter of minute distribution and points focusing as the game will be on entertainment purposes while at the same time will have a Kobe tribute.

I'm rooting for Doncic but I see his time will be limited.

Good time to pick LeBron James. The odds are tempting. -_-

I think the poll has a mistake there's no Paul George on NBA All-Star right now, I think you've mistaken it for Chris Paul. If he is really there I think I'll root for him to win, this time I guess I'll go for those who can score most maybe Westbrook, Harden, Young and Lillard since mostly this favor as always for guards. Do the poll only limited to 12 because I think it will be for the best interest to some fans if what can we see on Sportsbet is what we will see as well here in this poll.

Luka probably can snatch it if he has more minutes on the game.
