Ethereum for sure if 2.0 Proof of stake implemented . About scalabilty and transaction Speedd ADA ( Cardano or Tezos ( XTZ) are making buzz still i am not fond of this coin . Holding some Tezos , ADA . IOST aslo looks promising . SOme of the Exchange token also in my list mainly BNB Binanace token ( Because of its own Blockchain) . KCS Kucoin shares Because of most active and attactive exchange .
I wanted to ask the community which you think are the emerging altcoins of 2020.
We are already halfway through the year and can we have an idea of what the revelations of 2020 were, or was it a weak year for altcoins?
in my opinion 2020 has shown that eth does not give up the second position
Ethereum will be holding second position until another strong smart blockchain. Ethereum 2.0 will fix the second position this year. Even Ethereum could dominate over 15 of the total coinmarketcap. By this we can expect that altcoins session will come next year. Yes Ethereum 2.0 will certly fix the second position for this year. It's difficul that an other altcoin will invade the top 5 position. They have strong fundamentals and a great mass adoption in addition to having solid projects but the before two considerations are a consequence of this.

yes, ethereum isn't giving up to be the 2nd best crypto in this world
in my opinion this year a lot of altcoins will be gone from the market and thats mean only a solid alts with great team behind will survive in crypto space
this year, it must be admitted that altcoin has its own dilemma because it is still dependent on bitcoin movements, and cannot move to be independent. Likewise with ethereum I don't see being able to break away from the dependence of bitcoin, obviously I agree that many altcoins will be lost because they are no longer able to compete. but there will also be many that grow and there may be good ones.

We can not deny that altcoin still depend on bitcoin. Altcoin try to compete nicely with others without being bad look. They move slowly to increase their price in the market and it shows that altcoin is in the good zone in the half of 2020.
Besides ETH, there are several altcoins that I choose. Fundamentally, there are several alts that have the opportunity to create a high bounce.
- LTO, there are mainnet upgrades and token economy updates
- ONT, there is an mainnet upgrade
- Zil, there's a staking
I am not a holder, but when there is a good enough opportunity, I will use it, what is fundamentally a supporting factor.

there are many altcoins that have risen in price after BTC moves above $ 9k. and I think this will continue if BTC prices continue to move significantly upwards.

Ethereum has been doing well. But have you noticed that Tether keeps going up and it's currently in the second position? Nobody was even expecting Tether to go up to that level, and it might even surpass Ethereum just like XRP did once. Cardano is one good altcoin and it has been growing and gaining the interest of lots of investors. Other good altcoins are Monero, ChainLink, 0x, Zilliqa, and BAT. I usually go for these coins that are topping the list because they are the ones that seem like they are likely going to be having a bull run when the time is right. This is just my opinion based on my portfolio and I recommend anyone to go for their own due diligence rather than copying me and blaming me on unexpected losses occurs.
I was bought eth few months ago even this is one of the best benefits coin. Although everyday i am busy for trading in HY token like biki exchange. As the well low profits everyday but i am also to happy. 2020 hope best for everyone investors who bought btc and eth cheap price.
I think Etherium is and will always be in second position.And Alt coins in to will be in a much better position.I think. Since every coin is associated with alter coins.For him, it must be in a good position.
In my opinion, ethereum is continously increasing these days so I think ethereum is a rising altcoin today. The potential of it is still on fire, I hope ethereum would run high this year. And also I think if the eth increases, there are some of potential altcoins that would increased for sure that we must keep an eye on.
after looking at the BTC price chart it looks like the crypto market in 2020 is showing value again. especially with BTC prices and some of the other top altcoins, starting to experience an upward movement.
I think shortly we will see a BTC pump with an Altseason consequence when it settles in the new price range. I agree with you that many altcoins are anticipating and already increasing their value

yeah, but BNB was on position six already, so would not call it that already come to position eight, it is rather a drop for BNB
within top 10 coins should be good enough for investment, but one should not expect rather spectacular return on investment on those, you should do a research and find your jewels out of top 10, those can provide spectacular returns in near future, but risk is higher
