More predictions were associated with the year 2020. One of the major incident being the halving. We don't know what is gonna happen in the upcoming year. There is more expectations on ethereum as well. The dominance level of bitcoin stays strong which gives the hope that there will be promised growth to take place by 2020.
2017 was a big year for bitcoin, and following the same there was big expectation for 2018. Things went away from the predictions and expectations. Now 2019 has turned to be a better year, whether the same will be taken forward or gets a break can be known within six months.

How are the two even comparable? And as far as I know, after the last bitcoin halving, the price did tank and didn't move after a couple of months. Halving is not like a magic bean that will immediately bring impact to the price. I would say a minimum of 4 weeks before we can finally see a positive movement in the price.
Bitcoin is on the rough since 2018 till now, and it's having a hard time to recover but adoption of crypto organization like the announcement of Bakkt it has a chance to be lit again and 2017 history will be repeated.

Before when btc halves the price has not seen any changes immediately therefore you should expect that on LTC too.
People are excited about the btc halving because for them the price will goes to be bull.
Agree on the halving but on the other factors that you listed NO , because they wont occur anymore .
The global coin from facebook is said to be cancelled and wont release . craig white issue is still there and not over yet and lastly china is now becoming good at cryptos but we dont know if they will make another drama again .

i have same thoughts except i expect that big fomo end of the 2019.before that we really need a altcoin bull run.im not sure if will it come but many people waiting for it.its been a long time damn it.
I've read somewhere that China will create their own cryptocurrency in response to Facebook Libra coin. But what makes me more excited is the halving event next year. I have invested few bitcoin and the halving event is my hope for the huge pump. Aside from that, there are so many great things that will gonna happen next year. Expect more bitcoin payments in different online shoppings and differennt Merchants, more adoptions will come.

I also think that year 2020 will be a good year for crypto and this will give hope to holder and even more new people i think will join crypto after bitcoin halving.

Many also thought the same thing for 2019, that is going to be amazing and revolutioary year for Bitcoin. So far it didn't happen so. It seems that after 2017 many users hope that exatly the next year is going to be "the year" when Bitcoin will achieve 20k again.
But instead of waiting the perfect year for Bitcoin I think we should focus on the present amd get the best and the most out of it.

Bull run? You'll just be hopeful of that but never expect that it will come to us this year nor to see prices soaring high. The market never turning back of what it started but we can't tell also that it will move higher as we all want it to happen. Market changes will always come and that 2020 halvings might be helpful..(hope so)
China cannot create FUD anymore in the market, in fact I believe that they are purchasing bitcoin now to hedge their money on the ongoing trade war between the US, a lots of businesses will be affected but when their money will be in bitcoin, that will be their safe haven.
