This is the very finest quality moonstone that you will ever see in the marketplace. The adularescence (blue sheen) is very strong and bright. It seems to "float" on the surface of the stone. The body of the stone is crystal clear as it is in only the finest moonstone- it is not cloudy or included. This stone was mined in Sri Lanka (Ceylon) and is guaranteed 100% untreated. It was taken from the ground, cut and polished. That's all. No heat, no chemicals, no dye, no bleach, no fissure-healing.
This lovely gemstone weighs 2.31 carats and measures 9.77 x 9.43 x 3.80mm deep. If that seems like a large stone for the weight- it is. Moonstone is not very dense so like opal you get a lot of size for a given weight.
