What processor, mainboard and powersupply are you using?

MB: ASRock 970 EXTREME4 AM3+ (http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813157262)
CPU: AMD Sempron 145
Power Supply: RAIDMAX RX-1000AE 1000W (http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16817152044)
Memory: CORSAIR 8GB (2 x 4GB) DDR3 1333

Since my last post, I have been able to get 1.575 MH/s @ 650 Watts and 1.8 MH/s @ 800 Watts, but still nothing close to 1.8 MH/s @ 625 Watts.

I have thought about disabling some non essential components on the motherboard (sound, and I/O ports), but the motherboard is probably only consuming 15 watts or less.

I totally agree about the wattage!

At the moment i have 2 cards in each rig

ASRock 970 EXTREME4 AM3+
CPU: AMD Sempron 145
PSU Corsair HX850 gold
Memory low voltage ( 1.35 ) OCZ 8gb
2 x MSI 7950

Total draw 640 watts and yet tacotime somehow gets 635 watts with 3 cards?

My other rig is an ASUS Z68 pro Gen3 board
with one MSI and a sapphire 7950 and it bascially pulls the same
Tho the sapphire card has far better temps than the MSI cards

I probably average 550 KH/s per card

The power draw from these rigs is killing me!

1.8 Mh/s you sure on that seems a little low, i get 128 Mhash/s on a 5770

He's talking scrypt (LTC) which mines at about 1/1000 the speed of SHA-1 (BTC).

128 Mhash/s from a 5770 for litecoin mining?

Litecoin mining goes by khash/s = 1800khash/s = 1.8Mhash/s sonofdust is mining.

I was reading tacotime's forum post about setting up a 3 x 7950 LTC miner and at the bottom he indicated he is getting 1.8 MH/s @ 625 watts.

https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/litecoin-build-for-noobs-3x-7950s-18-mhs-in-a-10-crate-case-163306

I have no problem reaching the 1.8 MH/s, but I can't figure out how to get the power consumption under 850 watts for the entire system.  Does anyone know what miner settings to use and other settings to get this low power consumption.

The best I can get is 1.5 MH/s @ 600  watts with the following:

voltage @ 930 mV
Core @ 840 MHz
Memery @ 1250 MHz

Aggression 19 using reaper

Thanks in advance!
