The payout of 40 microbitcoin is not so bad. And poker tournament is not so much of a bad idea especially online now that everyone should avoid social areas and practice social distancing

Nice to hear such words. Then i'm definitely in!  Cheesy

the country restrictions are more of an issue. anyone who is planning to play should load up the poker room ASAP and make sure they can access it. if you get this message, you need to 1. clear your cookies, 2. connect through VPN from a safe country (germany is working fine) and 3. make a new account.

Maybe they have some list of restricted countries, eh?  Undecided

Already find list - https://helpcentre.sportsbet.com.au/hc/en-us/articles/115007372088-Restricted-Countries
Then will play with VPN  Tongue

nobody i've talked to has had KYC sprung on them at sportsbet.io---i'm not too worried about that, especially at these stakes.

right my mistake, that's what I meant. I just sort of lumped them together.

Already signed up and you deserved a merit for reminding me about daylight savings. Completely forgot about that one since I am working from home and it doesn't really matter when I start in the morning as long as I pull my 8 hour shift during the day.

I can also confirm I did multiple withdrawals from Sportsbet without having to do KYC. They weren't huge amounts, but were not 5$ as well.

Bottom line - I'd rather skip KYC due to legal issues (reporting taxes from gains) but doing it if needed it will not stop me from using Sportsbet. I trust them enough to keep my data safe.

Nice surprise you have there. The guaranteed prize pool might bring a few more people out, not sure how many of the regs can bypass the kyc.

Guys, please dont panic when its not necessary... remind me of my ex, dont do that plz! Cheesy

@johnny Its not gonna happen that you win this tournament, want to withdraw the funds and wont be able to do so before completing kyc... you have my word for that. Wink Again: This is a tournament that sportsbet have set up for us to have some fun, they are not going to f*** up anyone here...

Other than that - of course, they could ask for kyc in general, its in their terms and they can do so whenever they want to...
I guess it won't ask for a KYF with the prize pool of just 0.04 BTC, that isn't a big chunk of money if they do at least be prepared for the worst case scenario if you can't comply with the requirements. Just join the fun first and worry other things once it's done besides you have to win it with yahoo62278 a pro is one of the participants.

Guys, please dont worry too much about kyc - its not like sportsbet is enforcing this all the time - they rarely do actually. Also, this is supposed to be a fun tournament for our community - dont think they will suddenly ask everybody to kyc before they can play. Wink

Please, read some thoughts above. I'm not afraid that will restrict me to deposit funds, i'm afraid that they will not withdraw funds without KYC.

There is no guarantees. T&C are written in a way that Sportsbet can ask you for KYC anytime they want.

I can only share my experience. I have been a user for quite some time, about a year now and they never asked me for KYC. I was much more of high roller few months ago and at that time I have without problems withdrew quite large amounts several times (0.2-0.5 BTC) without any problem. All my transactions with Sportsbet were extremely fast and I can recommend them without any reservations.

They have risen their margin in the meantime so they are not so good for high rollers any more but that is another matter for discussion in some other topic. Their whole policy has turned more to mainstream casual players.

Dont let the possiblity of a kyc make you fearful of this casino.
I would bet more people have not been asked for KYC then people who actually have.
They have never asked me for KYC because I play by the rules.

I have some doubts about that. It will be not fine to register without KYC, win the tournament and do not be able to withdraw, because whey will ask you for KYC.

I'm working but will send some funds over, if it's a slow day I might be able to partake with some afk moments.

Definitely a nice gesture on the part of sportsbet.

GL all if I don't make it.

Received the password aswell , will sign up later on today  Cool  .

How many people have showed interest in total ? Will we be at least around 20 ?

I think - call me optimistic - we can definitely reach 20 entrants this time. Smiley

Btw: Its 16 mBTC GTD for the winner, 12 mBTC GTD for 2nd, 8 mBTC GTD for 3rd and 4 mBTC for 4th - prizes are nices. Smiley

Is the buy-in from our add-in up on top of the 40 mbtc offered by sportsbet , or they're gona only be added if we first reach the 40mbtc prizepool with buy-ins ?

Regardless,  for 1 mbtc that's a pretty nice prizepool .

It is working like a regular gtd tournament, which means the 40 mbtc are guaranteed (15 min. entrants necessary) but our buy-ins (and rebuys) are only added to the prize pool once we reach the 40 mbtc.
