Hmm seems interesting. I'm more astonished by the fact that they're making it more of a multi-purpose entertainment floor instead of just simply being a crypto gambling casino that has a brick-and-mortar service type. They're really trying to keep up with the times and cater to a lot of customers. Though I guess there may be limitations for the younger audience, that or they're separating and guarding the venues for eSports and for gambling. Might just be the start of a place that has that floor as their center tbh since it looks interesting enough, not to mention the investments they're placing on it.
To me this is the most interesting aspect of all, if this just a new casino then there will be not much to be excited about, after all the announcement of another casino being built is not such a great news, but the fact that the owners of this casino are trying to include all kind of amenities for a more modern audience means that this could be the model of the casinos that may appear in the future and that are more geared to the new technologies and forms of entertainment we could see in the future.

This is too good to be true proposal. I can't find any source besides the link attached. I want to know what major company behind this idea especially since its focusing on crypto. The one who proposed this doesn't how much risk they will gonna get for entering physical crypto in US. I will believe this if the proposal location is on El Salvador or other country that is will known for being open for cryptocurrency.

SEC is hesitant to accept physical backed Bitcoin ETF. So I doubt that a physical crypto casino can get easily established out there but still a good news for crypto holders if this really happens.

It is not wrong that anything that is good for crypto adoption is ideal for all of us to exist, as this expectedly impact the market and in turn impact us as well like what @mindrust stated.

Any crypto adoption is good. In this situation, it is a huge step.

However, questions such as those mentioned by @kryptqnick, also came across my mind and what could be the consequences of building such.

The article is based on a pitch, so it doesn't mean that this will actually happen. Also, when I tried googling a crypto-trading floor, all search results are basically about this very pitch, so my question remains: what's a crypto-trading floor? Does it mean that, apart from a casino, there will be basically a physical crypto exchange? Will any fiat be involved on this crypto-trading floor, and will there be crypto or fiat payments in the casino itself? And what will be tax implications be if any event of crypto trading apparently calls for a tax report in the US?

I also have my doubts about this but I wanna stay positive about the idea. Let us all just wait for this to surface and hope for the best. I am really hopeful that this could actually bring many positive for the industry and public awareness.

https://www.gamblinginsider.com/news/14154/3bn-casino-with-crypto-trading-floor-proposed-for-new-york

A 3 billion dollar casino with a crypto trading floor has been proposed in New York. By a Japanese Gaming Company, Universal Entertainment.

The location is proposed to be "Manhattan".

Further information:
Quote
The planned casino has been given the name ‘Mirai’, which translates to ‘future’ in Japanese. Jason Ader, a former Las Vegas Sands board member, heads up the project in partnership with Universal Entertainment, and with the financial backing of 26 Capital Acquisition Corp

It would be the biggest crypto trading floor with flying car pad as well. There would also be a e-sport arena as well and also a big floor for entertainment.

Ofcourse this is not the first casino to introduce Crypto Gambling but it's definately going to be a major game changer.

What do you think about this news?

Any crypto adoption is good. In this situation, it is a huge step. E-sports, crypto trading, gambing these all go hand to hand. It is a smart decision. Sure most people want to do these from home but there are lots of people who want to socialized so this casino will fill that need. If it becomes a successful operation, there will be others too. Maybe we will see a city like Las Vegas but only for crypto.

It will surely add excitement to the said area. Japanese people are into innovating the gambling world which is necessary during this modern-day because more gamblers are looking for something new. I hope that there would be more casinos that would seek more improvements and developments like this.

What the hell is a flying car pad? Pretty sure that there's no commercial flying car available yet so I don't think it's a good idea, it's not to keep up with modernity, that's the future they're talking about.

This is definitely a really big one and I do like the name Mirai, pretty cool for a casino if you ask me. Hopefully this gets in Manhattan rather than other cities because I feel like Manhattan has more people than Long Island.

It makes sense really and we see a lot of places in America seeing the tax revenue potential in gambling. Historically Las Vegas has profited wildly from the restrictive gambling in other states, so it was inevitable that others would want a cut of that money since a lot of the bad perceptions have left this gaming sector. A lot of the ideas they're putting forward are original in terms of a casino and there is a lot of money they're probably hoping to extract from gamblers around Manhattan which is why they are putting so much money up - they better not get any special treatment or subsidies for building it though. I really like the virtual reality concept and it'd be good to see more casinos adopt that on gaming floors.

I don't think that this is necessarily anything exciting.

It's just a crypto exchange with a casino business, and that is about it. It's two separate businesses.

I honestly don't even think that this will pan out well. It's two completely unrelated entities trying to mesh together - the pro traders wouldn't engage with this trading floor because of the casino affiliations, whereas the hardcore gamblers would rather go to the strip.
Yea I was thinking the same. So it's basically a casino where you can use crypto for pay in or pay outs? Or will it have a stronger crypto theme, like specific crypto games or betting on crypto related things?

This will be another level of entertainment and looks like interesting many people today will catch up its kind of futuristic part of the casino I guess many people will come to this just to try the different experience using the cryptocurrency, just wondering how they make a deposit using a sending address and get QR and then they give a chips as like before or just using the cryptocurrency instead to play.

Do they still need chips in the futuristic casino? I have no idea either but probably we only need phones to get inside and scan QR codes there to play. If there is an option to use the meme coins to play, it's probably the option just to experience the innovation.

Project is too grand that is to be located in New York. The location isn't final yet but I think there will be lots that will oppose the project still. You can already foresee that it's made for the rich crypto holders who owns flying cars.  Grin

That can make the gambling industry bigger if that plan success in the future as they will use the newest technology and use Crypto besides fiat. That casino needs to have approached the government so their plan can work successfully because the place will be one of the busy cities in the US. If that business can also create a website to accommodate the online gambler, that can be a good way for them to try playing gambling at that place and they will have a different feel when playing gambling.

For us who have been into crypto for so long, maybe it will not excite us.

But for sure their target is those beginners coming into cryptos - traders and the typical gamblers so I think this is still a win-win situation for us crypto enthusiast and for the entity itself because it's going to bring big money, and hopefully it will have a net effect on the market itself. And maybe season traders and gamblers will also try this combo for all we know.

Indeed. It seem fascinating to me as well, for crypto adoption mainly, as the public will be able to engagement physically. Just like you, I just hope that this will bring positive outcomes for everyone, although honestly speaking I have questions as to how this will be executed and delivered in actuality. We can only wait for it to become reality to know then, after all, only we can know these things when the casino come to existence.

The thought of having crypto business may be exciting for some others.
Most of crypto trading platforms have no physical shop or location, more on virtual even the biggest ones.
So if this will push thru, people will see the actual crypto trading scene which may possibly attract engagement from the public.
So let's see once this is running, and check out if people will patronize this kind of set-up.
Casino and trading may be of different nature, but in some way, the users may possibly use the crypto trading services if the casino itself will integrate crypto in their system.

Las Vegas was constructed atop cheap land located in a desert region. Its success hinges upon snatching up large segments of real estate at rock bottom prices. Which later greatly appreciated in value.

Attempting the opposite strategy in new york, an area with highest priced, real estate in the country, has a few pros and cons. I think the only advantage is the many wealthy residents in the area. Everything else is a negative. New york was one of the first US states to outright ban tether, if I remember correctly. NY has a reputation for being unfriendly towards cryptocurrencies. US states like texas and florida are much friendlier for crypto users. El salvador might do very well with this approach, if they can fulfill their promise of bitcoin city having no income, property, capital gains or payroll tax.

Might just be the start of a place that has that floor as their center tbh since it looks interesting enough, not to mention the investments they're placing on it.

if nothing else, this is good for crypto adoption. if they will dedicate services for crypto, people may get their interest if it is readily available, right? but was looking for when it will be constructed but to no avail.
anyway, sooner or later other casinos may also find the interest of integrating crypto in their payment system as it already attracts good attention among online casinos. but i guess, one thing they need to be aware of is the local laws in terms of crypto-related services.
