Shut down some miners yea. Or crash a few pools or btc exchanges.     Cheesy.

All. Very simply steps.   Might be time to go to ghash for ahwle till slush gets back in the game or diff lowers

^ please explain idea to lower difficulty? What can we do?

To lower difficulty, we only need to get everyone to stop adding hash power as well as turn off a few machines. Simple.

Hilarious Hahaha BTCest joke of the day!

Wait here's another, please just all of you give me your spare change bitcoin so I can buy my father a Birthday present this weekend.

I've been on the road and checking my acct. over the past few days...not looking so great. How are things @the guild or eligius compared to here? Are they struggling as much as we seem to be??

How is Slush struggling?

Pool luck (1 day, 7 days, 30 days):   110%, 101%, 107%

Well for one thing the block payout is half of what it was a couple on months ago.
So you need twice as many blocks now to make what you were making before.
Those pool luck numbers dont mean squat any more.
It's the PAYOUT that is disappearing.
Simple math my friend.

EXACTKY.   The luck is exactly only just that.   Luck.   It doesn't calculate daily or weekly payout luck or how much you made before apposed from now.

Math.      The difficulty needs to go down or price go up.     And we can doo all of that ourselves.

Luck is luck.   Reward is reward.

We must put a stop to this.   WE CAN lower the diff, with help we can and we shall.

Brainwashed this way
mstrgonbow: I have no idea what I need, they crash twice a day, I have tried everything. It has to be in the software. I have switched out everything at least twice (even the Pi's themselves) but they still reboot twice a day. Most of the time they just restart but every now and then they stay dead till I notice, yesterday I lost 5+ hours of hashing on them (at 948 GHs) till I manually rebooted.
If you have any ideas I would love to hear them.

RK-Boxes will restart quickly once or twice a day. My units restart so quick I don't notice and it doesn't effect my mining/hashing and they ALWAYS restart. I have no problems with them not restarting. Try checking these things:

Are you using 1 pi per rk-Box? (Are your pi's made in UK or China)

Latest pi image from Rockminer?

Pull freq from 350 to 320.

How are you powering pi? Are you are using power cable from Rockminer?(Do not plug pi power and fan into same blade) If not using Rockminer pi power cable, use 5v 2amp phone charger(no less)

What Brand/watt power supply for miner?

Have you upgraded usb cables?

Is your internet connection continuous and reliable?

Do you have additional fans blowing around miners to help dissipate heat?

Currently there is DDos attack on bitcoin.org

Honestly we need a good attack on one of the big exchanges to knock the difficulty back down.

JT

I'm not sad to say, I 100%  agree with you on that one completely.   Its just going to keep going up and up and up.      Going to 34 in like 8-9 days approx.    And with the low btc/$ this diff is making it a hell of a lot harder.

Team attack on exchanges or pools is what we and some others need.  We need something so we don't loose our profit, or so we can actually make it back.

Slush been on a nice roll lately.    Huge diff rise soon unless we can change that.

As for the testing theory, it may have been a bit early for bitmain, perhaps it was actually these?

Did we ever find out who came over to Slush's pool and hit us with 3 Petahashes/sec? I was kind of hoping they would stay so we would get more blocks per day but less money per block. I hate blocks that take 12+ hours. Especially the one a few weeks back that took over a day. At least that one wasn't invalid...

think bitmain may have been testing out these babys  ,,,,which are nearly good to go    https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/antminer-s4-2ths-batch-1-on-sale-this-week-shipping-before-sept-ends-784897

3D Printed!
Sing with me "Here comes the rain again..."
The drought may have been ugly but the rain feels so good Smiley
Now if I could just get pi's connected to my RK-boxes to stop crashing twice a day...

I've got my RK-Box running on R-Pi...whatcha need yo?

Whoever did the rain dance at about 21:00 UTC last night, thanks very much!
You certainly got Slush dancing again.  Grin

Not sure it was me but I was the last to "complain" or "question" our block finding mojo (numbers) here at slush as I am considering moving still...

Pool luck (1 day, 7 days, 30 days):   110%, 101%, 107%

Last month there was a lot of time when we were a bit below 100%.... People seem to forget that we were consistently over 100% for a very long time so on average we are still above average!

Did we ever find out who came over to Slush's pool and hit us with 3 Petahashes/sec? I was kind of hoping they would stay so we would get more blocks per day but less money per block. they should be blocked Smiley 8hrs or less

I agree. Blocks below 8 hours I can deal with. Anything above makes me cringe at the thought of the electrical bill... Sad
