you can run as many instances of bfgminer as you would like, i tend to create a worker for each hub i am running

how do u set it per hub?

I have 3 hubs and 16+ miners it cant display so I want to separate it out like that!

Mining for dust... a century ago a hell of a lot of people were mining for gold dust... I guess when people ask me what I do, from now on I'll say "I'm a dust miner."

considering how little power ASICs use, the little guys will only get shut out if we run out of decimal places. you may end up mining for dust, but you'll still be able to mine.

Yah... I just wonder if the difficulty is going to ever plateau at some point... when the little guys are shut out completely, the medium sized guys have spent all they are budgetted for, and the greedy bean-countin big boys are finally getting enough... or will enough ever be enough for the greedy bastards...

As long as our good luck is someone else's bad luck, it won't affect difficulty.

Ah well, luck will come back Smiley

Already getting better:

Pool luck (1 day, 7 days, 30 days):   97%, 95%, 101%

But we don't want it to get TOO high or the difficulty will go up, right?

"The difficulty is adjusted every 2016 blocks based on the time it took to find the previous 2016 blocks. At the desired rate of one block each 10 minutes, 2016 blocks would take exactly two weeks to find. If the previous 2016 blocks took more than two weeks to find, the difficulty is reduced. If they took less than two weeks, the difficulty is increased. The change in difficulty is in proportion to the amount of time over or under two weeks the previous 2016 blocks took to find."

But now that ASIC miners are cheap and people like me can get into this, we may be out of luck and the difficulty will continue to skyrocket.

Can't skyrocket forever.

... Or so i tell myself at night.

well it's not just the difficulty, last week we had a bunch of days with pretty great luck. our 7 day average was over 100%. the last two days have been like ~80% luck. 110% -> 80% is a pretty big swing in luck, and when you combine that with the increase in difficulty, it makes it *feel* that much worse, lol.

It's funny that  luck means that sometimes you reach 110% if there's good luck but if bad it always goes much below 90%.

Life is not fair.

Pool luck is falling...did someone break a mirror yesterday  Wink

The way it is looking right now, it must be mirrors. Maybe someone drove his car into a mirror store window? Or is there someone working at a factory maybe and having had a bad day with the forklift??  Cheesy

anyone have a windows 7 gadget/sidebar app that works with slush's pool? i tried a few different ones posted on the forums but none of them work 100% ...some would work partially tho. the one i'm currently using shows round duration and the pool's gh/s but doesn't show my miners stats. the API connection thing fails.

so please don't just google and post a link to something you've never used. i've already done that myself a few times. but if anyone has a link to one that u know is actually working 100% that would be wonderful.
I also like to know if someone knows of an Android app that gives a notification every time Slush's pool mines a block. A ka-ching-sound would be nice  Smiley

Just check the graph?

The graphs give the daily reward and daily average reward but not the total to date.

this won't give you each individual miner but you should be able to get your total payout from "my account" -> "payout history" https://mining.bitcoin.cz/accounts/transactions/

that won't include your current "confirmed reward" found in "my account"

Thanks, yes.
