Actually I'm running the jalapeno (the low end entry) from BFL. I did pay for the upgrade as well. So I should be running at 6.5 GH minimum. Instead I'm getting 7.45 GH. Admittedly it runs a touch hot for my taste (averaging around 46-50 celsius depending on ambient temp. in room) but if the 50 GH model were to show a similar increase over its minimum hashrate claimed it would be running around 53 GH/sec.

Using CGminer and running it off of a raspberry pi with a powered USB hub. Nice low energy consumption to keep the jalapeno profitable as difficulty, and network hash rate, rises.

For anyone unaware, Jalapeno is what BFL used to call their entry level miner, now known as the 5 GH miner.

Thralen

ETA: the 6.5 GH figure is taken from the current claim on older orders of the jalapeno doing 4.5 GH, so with the upgrade 6.5 GH/s.

you think 46-50C is too hot for your taste?! ever mine with a GPU? 70-80's are the norm. if that is at 50C I would guess the fan is working pretty good. wouldnt want that fan failing though

Actually yes I have, re: mining with GPU. I had a caseless, headless BAMT mining rig set up with three cards. The card in the center habitually stayed between 80 and 85 Celsius, the max I was willing to run it at. I ran the rig until I got my jalapeno. That rig was tucked out of the way though, the jalapeno isn't and I've got kids, so I consider it hot since they can come into contact with the case on this one but not with the previous rig. Just a comparative thing.

Wow. Once Synethstesia left our luck returned. Maybe we should send him some BTC to stay away.

Anyone else having issues with blockchain.info?

Oh nevermind.  They just put a "Site under maintenance" banner up...  Which is code for "Oh crap, something is wrong and we need some time to figure it out"

Just curious if anyone is using the BitForce 50 GH/s miner from Butterfly Labs. If so, what's your hash rate? I just decided to buy one for fun. http://products.butterflylabs.com/homepage/50-gh-s-bitcoin-miner.html

the early demo videos of their 5gh/s miner was actually running at 5.8-6 gh/s, and can be firmware overclocked to 7gh/s for 100$... so i imagine that their 50gh/s will run well above 50gh/s. (the hash ratings are a minimum, i believe that the specific number depends on the chip quality (being more or less prone to overheating) some chips can run faster than others, but even tho "lowest quality" chips will meet or exceed the minimum hash rate)

that said, they are currently shipping orders from June 2012... (except the 5gh/s miners which currently shipping orders from oct 2012) they have a lot to catch up on. supposedly everything ordered so far should be shipped by the end of September iirc... but if u just ordered yours then it wouldn't surprise me if it was Oct or Nov when u actually get your unit. BFL is pretty awesome at claiming to be on a certain timeline and then missing it completely.

Now it is confirmed and nothing changed - less than 3% of normal in 19093!

well, you can claim to know about the scoring system, and then complain about it, but that is the reason you got less of a reward for one round vs another. you got paid for the % of your score vs the rest of the pool. you keep pointing back to your shares, but shares are not the full story. they don't reveal if you were scoring higher than average or scoring lower than average, and they also don't reveal how the rest of the pool was scoring.

My score was similar in both rounds.

Was it? Then your reward should be similar too.
Can you post your score, total score, and block reward, for both rounds? You can calculate your reward from those numbers. And see without doubts whether there's an error or not.

I don't see rounds under 0.08btc in my stats.

Difficulty rose and others are hooking up asic which means anyone standing still appears to be going backwards, hence you recorded a new low payout.   BTC is a hard road seems to me, I only hope its worth it and the world uses it more; so price rises

no that is not what happened there... he lost .04 his norm... if he lost .04 with the hashrate he is doing then I would have seem an  extreme loss to mine. and I did not...

hrmm actually I did get the shaft on 19080...

19080   2013-07-13 04:55:43   3:38:04   55146734   11064   0.00354312   246305   25.18400164    confirmed

Actually if I remember correctly I think 2 miners hash's were not being recorded during this round so I changed their ip's. however keep in mind that was not my fault it was one of slush's servers not synched with the others, as my hashrate is on par. this has happened a few times. slush didnt fix it and what is done is done...

If ya dont mind, I'm curious what your hashrate is... 3.5GH/s?

3.67gh/s close enough!  .005's are only while we are at 17-18th/s that will go to .0045's when we go back to 20-21th/s

on my side, 19093 19100 are constant with other reward, but 19080 was 25% less than normal average block reward..

I dont calculate my ratio of variance, because I trust the operator, and I'm pretty satified of this pool.. We have an excellent service too !

Luck has been low this week.. should have a nice week soon Smiley

My round 19100 is goofy; it will of course be fixed, just saying.

We are on a hot streak!
