I have been mining eu.stratum past few days steady, for the past seven+ hours there has been nothing though CG Miner has reported many times in the log that a new block was detected...I am pretty new at this and am just curious what this means from a technical standpoint...when the message flashes by " Stratum from Pool 0 detected new Block" does this mean something has been definitely detected or is it just a presumption? I have seen nothing recorded so I assume there is nothing being found under BTC or NMC; if this has been asked and answered before my apoplogies and perhaps a link to where I can learn a bit more about this.

What’s going on with EU servers ? The pool is very unstable from yesterday. My miners are switching to my second pool every 20-30mins.  Huh

Put your second and third pool connections to another slush's regional server.

Looks like we're running hot now.  Pool and my hashrate have climbed.

Had to underclock my machines.  Another, and hopefully the last, 90 degree day in the Ohio Valley.  Mid seventies in two days.!  Al of us who work outside are rejoicing.

This is getting ridiculous .... most of my rigs have fallen over to the main non-regional url i.e stratum+tcp://stratum.bitcoin.cz:3333 BUT they are not registering any significant hash on the site dashboard though they are running OK locally.
Also, the dashboard has gone bonkers .... block duration is forever in negative time, block do not register on the graph etc.. I better head of to facebook and see whether there is any news from the horse's mouth.

Isn't it smarter to use the one closest to you?  Just curious, I thought that was the whole idea servers in different parts of the world.
You did miss that .... I use the eu one but it kept failing over to the main url which I use as backup. Usually the software will keep checking the first pool for when it comes back online and reverts, in this case though, randomly, most of my rigs keep mining on the backup url (and it does not seem to be registering at the pool!). After 3+ hrs of this, I decided to point elsewhere until we can get some definitive info from slush.

Looks like there was a little hiccup a couple hours ago, according to my miner status.  Hey, feces occurs sometimes,  but that's why we have failovers, right?

Hopefully our hashrate will pick back up soon.  I like >30 TH.

I had been using this one for the longs

http://api.bitcoin.cz:8332

No problems at all.  Now, a couple of the miners are having issues connecting to it.

I'm using stratum+tcp://eu.stratum.bitcoin.cz:3333, currently 2 out of 6 miners dropped out.

What url are you using in the US?  The one that I have been using for awhile is working with some of the miners, but not others..

Yep mine are all shut down now, waiting for work from pools. I assume this is another DDOS ?

I'm seeing the same problem. Keeps disconnecting, failing over to a back up pool, then reconnecting.
