such as sports betting, I have full skill to analyze the team. but it all depends on luck, because in football anything can happen Grin
head to head game always been a favorite for me too, knowing what will be the edge of the to their opponents, I think number four would be the best one, I adore you mate for sharing your thought to us, it is correctly been observed, thank you for sharing.
I do not like analyzing head to head games, because each season the players will be different. I prefer to analyze the situation of the team, the performance, the last few games and their winning goal.

I think it also depends what the player makes of the game. Someone may play bowling or poker or even basketball randomly so that the game becomes an "all chance" one. The same goes for investing. If you just randomly buy and sell bitcoins, then you're playing it all by chance. On the other hand, if you base your views on a solid economical model and short some shares of Matson Inc., for instance, and hedge your risk according to an investing paradigm by combining the fundamental and technical aspects of financial markets, then the game becomes a "mostly skill" one.

Sports betting is the best type of wagering on in my opinion. As you are too get a lot on the teams not likely to win for the higher amount of there odds. You are likely to get more on the risk to take.

I have a theory that there are basically 4 types of gambling:

1) All Chance (highest risk): These are games that are basically all left to chance and no skill is involved such as dice or roulette.

2) Mostly Chance but some Skill: These are games like poker or spades where there is some skill involved but you are at the mercy of the cards dealt.

3) Mostly Skill but some Chance: These are games or sports where it is mostly the player's skill that controls the outcome such as golf or bowling where each player plays against the game with the opponent facing the same game independently and under the same conditions.  In these games you can't directly affect the opponent's performance.  Could also be true for a video games where you play against the computer and not head to head against an opponent.

4) All Skill (lowest risk): These are games where you play head to head against an opponent and can affect the opponent's performance and you both are playing under the same conditions.  These are games like chess and pool or sports like basketball.

This is just a theory on how risky betting is in some games or sports.  This doesn't include betting on sports or horse racing where you are just an observer.  What do you think?
Not sure all gambling game can use any skill, and i'm on first list,i'm 100% use chance, and just try my luck on gambling, have no skill,i have no strategy.
but,i'm sure people with good analyze and strategy will have better luck.

It seems I always go for the all chance because I online play roulette when I am going to the casino the other games acquire to much thinking.
When I am doing things for the fun I do not like to think to much.

I think your list is quite accurate, but what is the point of it?
Don't really see how anyone would benefit more from knowing this, it's pretty much already public info.

Well gambling is gambling, and to gambling you need just lucky and not skill, playing cards the 21 ,you are taking the risks if the card make you cross you lost ,soo the skills arent in the gambling atleast not online. And the real tournaments well you need lucky on your side and a good strategy, chess can be considered a skill game, the others i dont see those at all.

I agree, and in these games there is nothing you can do to change the result, and no strategy ever works.

yeah but I want to add that some games are so different when the yare played online, for example a game like poker is kinda different when you play it a casino

I think this category is mostly suitable for betting on sports not yourself because betting on sports will require more skills and information rather than chance whereas betting on yourself playing the sports is purely skills and a little bit chance.

4) All Skill (lowest risk): These are games where you play head to head against an opponent and can affect the opponent's performance and you both are playing under the same conditions.  These are games like chess and pool or sports like basketball.

anyways In any gambling when you make a bet you are taking a risk and it doesn't really matter what it is on the risk is always there.

What you have stated is correct, in the 4th point what you told is perfect about sports it is fully skilled based as you can get the full records of the teams , their performance , statistics and previous records against team playing and lot more . So i accept that Sports betting is fully skillful , profit is sure but low to medium but if you count on long term you will in very good profit when you count with others who are playing in non skill games.

BTC price road to $80k
I think if there's a 4 types of gambling.. its always depends in luck not on skills.. if you are skilled to play poker or dice or any gambling game.. if you dont have luck you will still lose.. so if you are lucky and with skilled and you can be satisfied you can make a profit and win..

I lost a lot in game of chances , slots ,roulette and dice. I played my self in soccer betting, lost quite a lot there too, then I came to this forum and by following a lot of predictions and tipster threads I have managed to win more than I have lost, so I have recoup some of my losses and I will vote for games of more skill and a bit of luck like soccer betting. Not a fan of head to head games.

good point mate, and for me the number 4 would be the good one to play with, playing head to head, research and make sure that you are betting for the team that have very good chances of winnings, it is a good explanation over there mate. you observed it well and always remember gambling still a gambling.

I don't think you completely understand #4.  You aren't betting on two teams, you are actually playing something yourself against another physical person and betting on the outcome.  In this type of bet, you can directly affect the other person based on how skilled you are.  It is a game of all skill, which is why it has the lowest risk.

Yes but like I said before. #4 doesn't really apply to online casinos. It might apply to multiplayer games like World of Warcraft but those games will never be in a casino. Its only good for face to face gambling in a physical casino.

Its a cool theory you just need to adjust a few things.  So lets go through them:

1.) Yeah agree, games which have a negative expectation

2 and 3.) They both overlap, poker has a large amount of skill it just takes longer for the edge to show.  Things like golf can be the same, great players can never win a major title like lee westwood for example, hes good enough to have won something big.

4.) Chess is probably the best example since the only variable is how the human feels on the day, the rest is pure math.

This theory is actually good and you actually specified some of the
high risk and low risk gambling which give a lot of information
for those who want to gamble more safely.
