Wew lads, this thread is a bit old don't you think? I'm locking it now, start as I see it as irrelevant since the price is above 400$ for a while.

I have preferred to sell at $430 a couple of weeks ago and nowadays I am not convinced it was a good decision. I can see a slight bullish trend... with no reversion?  Roll Eyes

It is a good price to sell for at least if you bought for around $200 then it is good if not I do not suggest that you sell at $400. So if you bought for a low amount and you can make some profit then you can sell now.
if you buy below $ 200 price it is an excellent opportunity to sell bitcoin. you really get a considerable profit. unfortunately only a few people who save bitcoin they buy when the price is $ 200

i don't hold any sub $200 coins, but i have bought several bitcoins below $250 in 2015 and i still have them in my cold wallets. i can sell them now and get a good profit from them, but i prefer to keep holding longer.

Not many would have bought at that lower price in the past, and the ones who have bought at that price would have surely sold when bitcoin crossed $400 mark.

In 6 months, you would say that not many would have bought at that lower price of $450. Things change.

if you sell bitcoin when the price of $ 400> it probably will not give you a significant advantage, may sell when the price of $ 500> that could give you a significant advantage

You could sell at 500 and then not even be on the train when we go up to 1000+. If i was sure it was going to retrace back down again i would love to sell then buy back but as it stands im not confident enought that i want to lose out if we were to hit the big time.
As you can see now you see that the value is going to be more worth and that is because it is now rising slowly because the halving is coming also towards to us and that is nice.
But the bad thing is that it can takes a long time until the value will be more worth.

Not a good year for a bitcoin price rally is it? The price just broke above 400$, time to sell before it falls back again. Log in to your exchange now.

well first of all, i think that selling bitcoins for such a low price like 400$ is really dumb,  as most people bought them while they were 450$ or so, so they would lose money

and bitcoin usually rises back again after any fall so this would be a good reason to don't sell bitcoins, so i think that you shouldn't sell them anytime

Not the same case with everyone, I bought at $220 last year so when it crossed $450 I sold some of coins and made a great profit from it.

Good, I suspect the price to dip as well due to this profit taking so better buy again once the price hits around 440 or 430.

It depends on the cost of obtaining the coin. For a miner with 0 cost of electricity, he can sell at any price.

But the miner will also try to sell as high as possible. Some of them will sell at any price if they have free electricity.

From the recent price action. I think it is better to sell when the price is $465 and buy at the price of $440.

If you are a trader, yes, that's the right price to buy and sell, small profit or if loss, small loss...But if you just want to convert your coins into cash, keep it a little long, since the price have shown a little action this week, IMO, it will repeat it again..  Smiley
With the current price, I think it is time to buy coins now since the uptrend will repeat again in a few days/weeks. It is currently stabilizing at $450 and it is possible that we hit $500 in the third, if not last, week of May.

With the current trading range, I think it is better to sell at $470 and buy at $440. You can make some profit.

The problem is when Bitcoin breaks out of this range in any direction.
If bitcoin goes up to $600, you would have sold at $470 and missed out on the potential for big profits.

that is always true at any price, if you sell at any rate there is always a possibility and the risk of missing out on further rises that is why it is a risky business but on the other hand you wouldn't miss out completely, you can buy again at $490 and sell above $500

Everybody want and needs to make fast money but i think that it is not the right/best time to sell bitcoin nowadays because bitcoin has more potential and i hope that the price will be much higher than now.

Yeah always making  quick money will not serve the purpose as this is not the perfect price to sell, but if wait and sell at the time of halving then you can expect better returns.

I don't know any good method to make fast money but the best way is by trading any alt coin that is in the pumping phase so this can be the fastest one.

I dont understand why people are so interested in altcoin if you have an opportunity to trade bitcoin,I am doing it and honestly I am earning good money from it.

People are interested in altcoin because they are making money, see the ETH price recently and you will see how much would you/me or anyone else earn if we would bought few days before and sell today, the price was 0.016 and now it is 0.0204 and the profit is 27%! Trading bitcoin is good to and has less risk than altcoins.
