Yes its very rare. And even more rare - 2-letter short TLDs are only allowed for countries (they are called ccTLDs). There will not soon appear new ones. 3+ ones can appear but they are less unique. 4.NF is in the shortest format at all and a very limited domain type.

I know the price is low, but I need to sell fast since need some funds, thats why I put it so low. I sold some other 1-chars pretty higher, reaching 1850$ best sale in a fast-flip (buy-sale within 1 week, what is nothing since usually domains are a long term business and it takes often years to sell them). Some investors who bought 1-chars from me reserved them for 20 years - so the market of such domains at reasonable prices has shrink even more.

get it at:  http://4.nf  -  and this rare domain will be yours Smiley

Kind of pricey, don't you think?
In the end, what is stopping someone from registering their own 1 character domain?

And what is so special about it?
I would say the price is justified.

The thing that's so special about 1 character domains is that there is a very limited supply of them. A lot of TLDs do not allow one character domains and the ones that do are bought up fairly fast. That and it's easy to remember since it's only 3 characters.

For now, maybe.
But when the word get's out that one character domains are valuable, more TLDs will appear.

Don't you think?

Even so there are only 676 2 letter TLD's (all combinations of .aa-zz). This domain is pretty rare IMO, it is the shortest possible domain and there are only a maximum 17576 other domains this size possible, and much less in existence. The price is in the right range.

A new TLD can't really just appear out of nowhere. It takes years for them to be approved and given to the public. In addition to this, a lot of the new gTLDs are less valuable than regular TLDs due to their long suffixes and such.

I can't say I can see this domain losing too much in value simply due to the lack of new TLDs being made at all, though I'm no domain expert. If anything, age will likely increase it's value.
