If GAW follows their trend of screwing customers, you'll see a 60% decrease in hashlet price within 2 months and an increase in difficulty so high that you might make it out with 50% return before your hashlet(s) are worthless.

Congrats!

Who was screwed? If you're interested in GAW there's a lot of threads made by their customers, just go and ask if they feel screwed.

You get paid out in BTC, you need to measure your opportunity cost in BTC, therefore you must convert your initial investment into BTC to check for your opportunity cost loss.

GAW is counting on the fact that you won't, because BTC is an appreciating asset and your opportunity cost loss will go un-noticed unless you do the above step.

Okay I altered it to have BTC or USD at the current prices. Thanks for help.

Side note:

I have multiple hashlets, but for the purpose of this thread I based it on the 50 mh/s one I have since it is the biggest.

All the names were auto-generated.

Thanks for doing this.  Will be interesting to see results over time.   I was wondering how hashlets would pay out over time.

1 BTC always equals 1 BTC. So for the purposes of comparing your ROI, i agree with kotarius, it is way easier to see yourself reaching the finish line if everything is in BTC since you are earning BTC. Cashing out to USD doesn't have to happen. Thank you for your help kotarius as that method helped me originally when I was doing these calculations.

LOL where did you get this info? If he paid in USD he wants to get the same amount of USD to ROI, if he paid in BTC he would've counted it in BTC.

About BTC beins an appreciating asset, I advise you to check the bitcoin price charts from the last 6 months.

Don't count in FIAT. Convert $799.99 to BTC, then start your ROI projections.

if he paid in cash he needs to work to cash to get his roi as the btc value changes if it was paid in btc then ya work to btc

That is correct. I paid in USD so I am keeping my prices in USD. I have not sold the BTC yet so the prices fluctuate. I update the value each day when I add the new earnings. If I sell some BTC for USD I will have a place to put those totals as well.

Edited months later after GAW has changed business models and is now more than likely a complete Ponzi/Scam. AVOID GAWMINERS.
