This amount is already too much for me. I respect the choice you made but I'm quite confused with your choice of shift and XEL. I see that you are focused with smaller coins that can potentially grow when the bull triggers. You are good in diversification but have you ever invested elsewhere like real estate?

you should not invest this much money in a market that you clearly have no prior experience in. jumping in like this will lead to massive losses and not just because altcoins get dumped but because protecting your coins (securing wallets,...) is not an easy task specially for a newcomers.

additionally if you look at the 10 year history of this market you can clearly see that investment in altcoins is never a good idea and even if it leads to long term profit it will be a very small profit compared to bitcoin profit.

an example with your numbers:
10 BTC - $70k
250 ETH - $57k
if you invested the $57k in bitcoin instead, this year alone would have given you $92000 profit but investing it in ETH this could only give you $10000 which means you would have lost $82000 because of a bad investment.

it doesn't stop there either. in the long run, like a year or two, bitcoin is going to continue rising while all these altcoins today will be worth a lot less.

Putting the investment question aside I would like to know where are you going to store those coins? I would recommend you to buy a hardware wallet like nano ledger S or a trezor, keep in mind thst having such an amount of coins on an exchange isnt safe at all!

Hi guys,

I'm new here. I'm working on Wall Street (no, I'm not rich) and I've heard about cryptocurrencies a lot these days. Last year I've made a small fortune and I have $500k right now.

Five big coins and two small coins that have potential.

My portfolio:

10 BTC - $70k
250 ETH - $57k
250k XRP - $92k
1250 XMR - $100k
1m Zilliqa - $16k
1m XEL - $24k
120k SHIFT $40k

I have $100k left now. What do you suggest? Can you tell me other small coins that have big potential? Thanks!

I would invest a small amount on exchange tokens. I know it's a high risk investment but if you think that in the last 2017 bullrun the exchanges were not being able to handle the amount of new users trying open accounts and they had to stop new registrations for some weeks, then we can expect that to happen again in the next bullrun. Some of these exchanges offer incentives for token holders and with the new influx of new users the Exchange tokens might be something to consider to have in any portfolio.

Also why don't you have any litecoin or Tezos?

You should put those extra $100k in Bitcoin. It is the safest bet and word "safe in crypto" is as risky as you can imagine everywhere else. Just put them in Bitcoin so you might sleep few % more at night.

Not rich but do have $500k investment on crypto. haha Only a few people do have this kind of numbers on their portfolio. If you do just simply Buy all on Bitcoin you would surely profit or even just 2 coins btc & eth.
It might not give guarantees but i would stick to these established coins rather than risking into new coins because even if you do see it do have potential, you cant be sure if those would boom up later or just simply die just like on most shitcoins in the market.
Living in New York is expensive. I'm not rich. Also, I don't buy shitcoins, I'm very careful.

if you really have a huge capital, i think its better for you to sell your xrp, xel and shift then buying dash
after that you run dash masternode
https://masternodes.online/currencies/DASH
so, you can get a passive income mate
regards

but as you know that the price of Dash Masternode is around $ 131k and I think it's too expensive.
and the one thing that you need to know that to get ROI it will take around 5712 days based on masternodes.online

Definitely not. I wouldn't sell my XEL and SHIFT for DASH. XRP? Maybe. I'll think about it. I've made that small fortune with small coins, not big ones.

Yep. Not a beginner. I know how to invest in stocks since I work on Wall Street. I only buy quality projects.

On the contrary, I think you have invested heavily already. I wouldn't suggest altcoin again for you but to advise that you sell off most of those coins now that prices are high and you can hodl btc and etheruem.

What made you buy exactly those coins you have bought? I am sure if you really invested that much money into cryptos you didnt do this without knowing exactly why your CC portfolio looks like this and you already know more about this market than most of us here. If not I wouldnt invest any more money into this market or its gone at the blink of an eye.

Yea right, not rich but 500k in cryptos. If this is all your money I'd suggest take 450k out of crypto and invest it in sth more secure and the rest im crypto.

Regarding your portfolio it seems BTC is underrepresented there. Imho you should have at least 50% in BTC.

Well in any case good luck Cheesy
