I think it is necessary to find an asset that will help you get back into the game, or to distribute all the money between all the best projects and hope for significant growth of the entire industry.

Sorry to hear this, mate. we do mistakes to get experience so do not get worried too much. Most of us here made the same mistakes and are ready never to make them again. It was the same way the experienced crypto analyst passed through. All the best of luck

5k in proper coins can make you go to 100k if the nice bull comes in. So hold tight and now is no time to get out of the market. So sit tight, things are going to bounce back. I actually lost to 25k worth money to a HYIP and that made me join crypto world

Sell all of your coins and turn it into one coin, i think you hold more than 3 coins now.. So just all in to one favorite coin and take the big risk, then just wait untill your coin rise, but it will take very long time for you to get your money back.

keep hold if you buy ALTcoin ... most likely next year will be better ... not only do you almost all suffer a fairly large loss, the solution is if you still trust crypto to add more funds or maybe it is gone more funds hold the altcoin that you bought ...

I'm so sorry for these losses. Many of our friends have lost big bucks. Never sell your investments and wait for the bull season. I have no idea about 2019, but 2020 will be great.

I think the first thing you should do is to adjust your investment mentality. I know that suffering such a huge loss can make you feel anxious and disappointed, but if you still believe in crypto, then you should know more about investment techniques and maintain a stable attitude. .

Folks, what a terrible year 2018 has been so far. I invested around 60K and now left with 5K. I did terrible mistakes and I hope there would be a turnaround sometime next year or so. Any suggestions?

You now need to see if the coins you invest in still have the potential, if there is no potential to suggest you sell them. You have lost a lot of money, which has given you a full lesson. The time to invest in cryptocurrency is very important. If you are buying bitcoin then you don't have to worry.

2018 is indeed a terrible year for crypto and because you have lost a lot of money, it is better to save your money in coins because maybe next year all your losses can be borne even you can benefit when the market shrinks
the most important thing is that you can take lessons from what you are experiencing now so you won't experience anything like that again, hopefully after this you can be more responsive in responding to the market

Well, in the first correction in December 2017, and then was the first in the market of Cryptocurrencies, and who did not know that this could happen, I talked with many who in the market was aware of many things, and they did not even have time to sell, as all very quickly went down correction, and began to hold the tokens,

It's awful to know this. You totally lose in a game and don't get anything. I only recommend storing all your crypto in personal wallets and finding a job to do. Don't continue investing when you lose money.

If you do not have more money for investing, then wait, soon you will be again in great profit.
Better is investing when price is not at ATH.
This is actually not a good or bad decision because the more we hold, of course there will be a lot of risks. as we know that now the market is very down

I just hope you didn't sell those coins you invested on. The value just fell, but you still hold the same amount of coins. This means you didn't make any loss unless you sell it for lower value. If you haven't sold anything, then all you can do is keep on holding it until the price recovers.
You didn't make any "terrible" mistake. You just entered the market at the wrong time.

can you tell me what investment you are in?  if you invest in mainstream coins, your money will never come back, but if you invest in the top 100 altcoins, your money can still come back in a few years.  all we need is more patient than before , trust me altcoin and bitcoin will pump again next year.

Yes, the year was really hard, but he gave a lot of knowledge in the first place we all learned that there is no endless growth. I hope that next year will be more in green shades)

did you experience defeat? and you are confused to start?
re-enter the game, with the remaining capital and hold until the bull run comes
Emotional stress is really hard to defeat especially when you are not ready, but if you are planning to come back and try your luck once more, better to equipped yourself with knowledge and dedications, each time you faces hard decisions try to skip and not to decide quickly, think positive and always trust your instinct never to rely with someones opinion yet create your best strategy.

NO. You invested 60000 dollars in Bitcoin and are left with coins worth 5000 dollars. This can mean a loss if you were to sell right now. The market doesn't show a true price of something at every given moment. It's volatile. If it swings from 4000 to 5000 one day and the other day it falls down to 3500 what was the real price? Does this price today at 3500 mean that this is what it was worth all along and you made a mistake buying at 4000?

I guess that OP invested not in Bitcoin but in some altcoins, because his losses amount to $55K / $60K = about 91%. Bitcoin has never fallen so low even if this investor bought it at the all-time high.

As a rule, dumped altcoins slowly recover to the maximal value of prices, because investors lose their confidence in this crypto currency. That's why I suppose that the OP needs to cash out these dumped altcoins and spend the remaining $5K for some undervalued and promising crypto currency which can make 10x in a short time. But in this case, the risks will be high.

Thats quite big loss , i would just hold the coins / tokens what you got with 60k . There is no other choice , just leave them in your private wallet and live your life . After year or two hopefully will be better =] I think its not only you that lost value in tokens . Im kinda in same boat
