If it hits that high of a price in that low of a timespan, the media will go crazy once again Smiley  In the small chance that this actually happens, expect bitcoin to hit $1000 again thanks to our media persons Smiley

By the end of November it could definitely be possible for the price to rise so far as $450, but $700 is a pipe dream and a dangerous one at that... a price spike like that will in fact cause a major correction, which might make it go past $270 or so.

tell me, who would sell at $270?

it might drop all the way back to current levels, because a lot of people bought at this price, but everyone who would sell at $270 has already sold even now, so why would they wait until after the price has risen to $700

that doesnt make any sense at all.

Just because "a lot" of people bought at $270, doesn't mean that "everyone" bought at $270... I mean hell, I remember buying some at $250 and though I was late to the party.  And also, I don't think you can just generally say that "everyone" who has bought at that price has sold by now, I mean technically I haven't really sold yet... What you said is too broad of a statement, so therefore to me, your post doesn't really make sense at all. Tongue

This is a good post ^^^^

We need gradual price increass to an extent. Even today is ok, I'd rather slowly go up now than have a 100% price increase to 700 within 2 weeks. That kind of shit just isn't sustainable. Maybe 700 by the halving next summer is a realistic & safe reality/hope.

I truly believe that all this price increase is people trying to gather as much bitcoins as possible before the halving speculation pricing begins... Now that is going to be a shit show in itself, and the exchange sites might collapse from so much traffic coming in lol... but seriously, a long with the sketchiness of the MMM ponzi thing that no one really seems to know the actual truth of what their intention are coming out of china; I think that a majority of people are just eager to grab as many coins as possible for the cheapest price that they can afford at one given time.

I highly doubt it'll be $700 by November! I can't see the economics behind that statement, it seems fairly stable as is. Fluctuations of that amount would really surprise me, and would take some drastic event to occur.

I think we'll hit $400 but perhaps not as soon as you think.

We reached $350 (actually $360, then fell back) today.  I think price will double in the next 14 days.

You should invest your life savings today then. You'll be twice as wealthy in 14 days Cheesy

$700 is hundreds of miles away. I am targeting the $400 level for this month to be the high of the year 2015. In 2016 we can advance further, but this year we definitely won't see $700. After the block halving it is possible, but not now.

We're mostly on the rise, so I think correction would now set in. Looking at it, maybe a floor of $330-$340, then another rise.

Who knows, we might hit the $400 barrier anytime soon, but $700? No.

Would be nice 700 $ but on 17th of november is very fast. I think that bitcoin price will not grow as fast. There is an important increase on last days, but prices need to relax a bit.

No, it's not happening. $350 in 2 weeks would be too much.

Woah!
Calm down sailor! Let's be happy how much the price has risen in such a short time. I'm very bullish but I doubt the price is going to double in the next 2 weeks unless you know something I don't?

I'd be very happy to be proved wrong. My personal target is to get & stay above 350 in the next week or two.

Well you are speculating for a double price.
I think this is impossible to be reached for only 2 weeks.
It can reach maybe 400 saying the truth but not 700

I have just seen a thread with the prices from Bitstamp in November 2013. These were day to day price increases. This is insane.

Also if this could happen already once, why wouldn't it be possible to happen again? I am not saying that OP is right but heck we are in the Bitcoin world and in this world everything seems possible, especially if it has already happened in the past.

Everything can be possible but not a massive jump.
The price of OP is double as it is now (almost double)
To reach $700 for 2 weeks the price of bitcoin should be pumped every day for about $25 a day.

if people are going to sell, when did they buy the bitcoin?

If we fall back to $300 or lower, that's only going to happen within 24 hours (people that have bought this weekend, and are just waking up might sell).

If we stay at $350 or higher for 24 hours we can be pretty sure we will stay there.

Because everyone who has bitcoin to sell already sold, the rest is all bulls.

one of the reasons I think this is that this move has a LONG way up to go - like $5000-$10000 before the bubble might start to peak out.  This flat market for the last 10 months is a tightly coiled spring ready to pop like we have not seen in a long time.  It will overshoot quite a ways when it does.

Altho i like your enthusiasm, i highly doubt it will double up to 700 usd that fast. The timerange for that price is much more likely to be around the halving
month next year. But since it's so highly unpredictable, i guess anything is possible; the higher the price - the more the exposure we're getting - and vice versa; like a neverending loop (until it pops again )

It could very well be possible. Over the past weeks, since mid September, we have been seeing a spot-on exponential growth start phase. If the trend continues exponentially with the same growth rate as seen since mid September, we would reach ~440 at the end of this week, and ~750 end of next week.
