Looking at trends 2 or more years, Bitcoin appears to be headed for $70,000 over the next 3 years though it appears heavily bullish right now. Are there people with charts/trends etc taking us to the $70,000 level over the next 3 years?

In the next three years bitcoin is going to be above above $100,000 and $70,000 may happen next year base on how things are going. I think there are alot of charts out there that are foretell were bitcoin is going to be in 2020 and some of them predicted above $100,000 and McAfee said bitcoin will be above $1,000,000 by 2020.going through news online today I read how a big Future trading company got approval from its government to go into bitcoin trading and they are going to start in the next ten days and that will be a great advantage.

$70,000  Shocked , that is really high speculative price. I know that Bitcoin price is very promising but making such a huge guess can be confusing because market goes both up and down. But if it speculates according to the graphs then you might able to see such high value.

This is only a hypothesis , it's maybe happen maybe not but in my opinion it could be happen because the potiental of Bitcoin is so good.
No one can dispute that. No body can predict what the future holds and which is why this is the speculation thread anyway. However, if we look at the rate of which things happened this year and how so far bitcoin has done, then we will see that anything can be possible in the positive. Sure, we cannot say for now looking at the level at which the market is doing based on FUD, but looking at all the FUDs from the start and the way things have been with bitcoin still surging, then the market is growing stronger everyday which is something to be optimistic about.

Price higher than that of $70000 has been predicted to happen, but the same is quoted with deadlines as 2020. The predictions were made in accordance to the halving that is expected to take place by the particular year. So, if things happen as predicted for 2018 surely growth will happen further.

This $70,000 may come sooner than 2020 halving if this positive trend continues for another 2-3 months and we pull out into the 20k area where the 5 figure pricing will start to look normal to everyone.

Does anyone know if BTC developers will ever fix the slow transaction issue? Is it on their roadmap?

This part of your comment really looks a bit uninformed. As if there have not been continuous forking battles over the direction of Bitcoin and that there is a quick and simple solution for the scaling issue.

Perhaps you should consider rephrasing your question.

I am not quite able to understand why Bitcoin core developers don't move forward with some type of dynamic block size and so on. I am a software developer myself and sure there are some tough decisions that come around when choosing updates to an existing software but it cannot be this hard to make a choice. Considering the billions of dollars in investments, I think Bitcoin core can do better to solve these issues and keep itself the best in terms of security and performance.
Very interesting question, I guess that they do not want to risk damaging the image of BTC, to begin could be very difficult for them to agree on any change between them and much less have the approval of the majority of the community that finally is the one that supports in some way or another to the network in the form of transactions or whatever you want to call it, then instead of making some radical change they wait a long time trying or testing other things before carrying them out so  yourself can see that it has worked for them that they have done.

Momentum is back at it again, I guess the first hurdle is the $10,000 mark which hopefully will drop on us before early next year.

We welcomed the 2017 by just $1000 per bitcoin it and now we about to close the year with $10000. It just so amazing seeing this uptrend and it grow ×10 and it really gives us a huge profit. And now bitcoin is in the hot seat again and in the lips of everyone. Surely many now are desperate to own now this precious coin.

While it is possible to be achieved 70,000 for the next three, four or five years because of the recent trend regarding fast pacing increase of bitcoin in a day with price rising to 7,000 to 10,000 USD before the year end. While it might be going that way there is no guaranteed assurance for that price increase. Bitcoin will have to go through many things like overcoming the odds of comments of politics, businessmans, passing between the impose rules and regulations.

Well, it is not possible to reach $70,000 but if you are thinking that it will be reached after 3 years i would definitely say "No" because that is too early and it will take a long run before we reach that kind of price. To be honest, the $20,000 is not yet being reached since the bitcoin started what more for $70,000 right? Hoping isn't bad anyways. Smiley

Observing the behavior that bitcoin has had throughout this year, I still can not understand the insistence of many so-called "expert analysts" to try to predict the future behavior of bitcoin based on the pseudo-scientific indicators of technical analysis.

The bitcoin phenomenon has no parallel with what the markets have presented throughout its history, so there are no historical references to assume that the bitcoin can follow a certain pattern, what seems true is that this tremendous upward race can undoubtedly lead Bitcoin to break the $100,000 barrier in a much shorter time than many think.
and yet it is these conversations that we promote these forecasts to the society of cryptography. The fact is that I also doubted the prospects for Bitcoin, which already exist today. 9000 dollars This is a very good indicator. But if you take into account what figures you voice, then we have nothing to do but just wait and see it.

I think $70,000 is entirely possible within 3 years, maybe even 2. We've gone from like $1000 to $9000 in 1 year. Look at the logarithmic scale, we can easily do it.

All this talk about $8000 and $10,000 and $15,000....This is literally like a gold rush right now considering most people in this world will hear about Bitcoin in the next couple years and will want to own one just for the sake of owning it.

Does anyone know if BTC developers will ever fix the slow transaction issue? Is it on their roadmap?

There aren't any bitcoin developers as such, the community decide the direction and there have been many discussions and suggestions to fix transaction speed and cost, that's what the whole segwit2x was about, discussions are still ongoing and a solution will be reached in time.
