this is what im able to get nowadays after i flash the bios, and under-clocked the card ( if i OC it will just go down)

I did not notice you were using guiminer scrypt, your settings are some magical juju for real. I did not underclock yet, but my hash up to just under 700khash/s!

Never run your Matrix Platinum at 1800 or higher on memory for mining!!! You'll brick it for sure.

Just flash the Asus R9 280X Matrix Platinum BIOS and you'll get 750 kh/s at 1080/1500
with "- I 13 -g 2 -w 256 --thread-concurrency 12000" (do not run monitor tools!).

Set minimum voltage with GPU-Tweak, PT +20% and Load Line 100% keeps it cool at 1070mV.

Matrix Platinum at 1800
Has been working with me three months ago that his jealousy

nice ,so it seems to just be a limitation of the card itself - pity ill just send it back no big deal.

Ok dont worry about creating a bat file and running through that. Just go edit the config file and run the .exe.

Within the config file, copy the settings i have. i get about 720kh/sec, also make sure you put the url, username and password where it says at the top section of the config file.

which colour pcb your card have ?
black

then you will not get past above 540kh/s its a reference card , if you have a blue colour pcb card then it can easily pass 700kh/s but for black pcb cards its just pain in the ass.

Hello everyone, i've been racking my brain over this the past few days. My Asus Matrix Platinum 7970 will not has of about 570Khs, no amount of OC, tried different drivers, uninstalled then reinstalled several times, tried different versions of cgminer to no avail, ive looked here there and everywhere searching for configs and everyone seems to be getting at least 660 and I cannot even get that.

cgminer.exe --scrypt -o stratum+tcp://162.243.215.221:3333 -u xxxx -p xxxxx -I 13 --worksize 256  <- this gets me 560Khs
cgminer.exe --scrypt -o stratum+tcp://162.243.215.221:3333 -u xxxx -p xxxxx -I 13 --thread-concurrency 8192 --gpu-powertune 20 --shaders 2048 <- this does nothign for me

anything over I 13 slows me down, g2 slows my card down, im not really sure what is going on

i sent you a pm, please try the settings out!

I have tried the higher thread concurrency to no avail and at one point my mem clock was at 1880 lol

Try  --lookup-gap 2 --thread-concurrency 29576 -g 1, start with --intensity 17 and go up. Stock clocks give me around 650 Kh/s.
