8b 16b DEMOSCENE FTW
I've been staking my wallet for a couple days. I noticed that ALL of the coins that come in say "generated but not accepted". What would cause this?

My masternode on Linux works fine, I earn 1 8bit per day.
The GETINFO command returns this message:
"Errors": "EXCEPTION: St9bad_alloc \ nstd :: bad_alloc \ n8bit in ProcessMessages () \ n"
what does it mean ?

It means that you should upgrade your memory, however, as long as your client accepts blocks there's nothing to worry about.

One of these 3 scenarios would help the coin imo:

New wallet which requires less memory to run (applies to both Win & *nix builds)
OR
MN collateral increased from 112 to 1024 or even higher, so that the higher memory requirements are more reasonably compensated by MN payments
OR
8bit's value goes to the moon.

Any of those three would help 8bit. The wallet works. Is it as 4000K sparkly as some of the other wallets out there? No, and it never should be! Because this is 8-bit.

Besides those possibilities, help people to join the 8-bit party!

just my opinion

8bit not working on my Windows 10.
On Ubuntu, 8bit working well
We could ask the DEV team to investigate this.

yup, forget running wallet on Windows 10 for now. It's not going to sync never. Someone needs to fix it and release a new version.

I have 2 8bit masternodes on 2 VPS at Vultr.
Reward is 1 8bit per day per masternode.
It's difficult to configure 2 masternode on same VPS...
I hope a futur wallet update  Smiley
Is your 8Bit cold wallet hosted on the VPS or your computer?
Also what operating system are you using to run the Masternode for the wallet and Vps

When I try to run a cold/hot wallet and stake with my masternodes, it stakes the 112 coins from the masternode and screws up the masternode. Any way to avoid this?

You cannot stake with your masternode collateral. Either run staking wallet, or a masternode. You have to choose.

I guess its the same with all other MN coins.
If you want to stake with the masternore earnings, you have to move them from masternode wallet to a different wallet - staking one.

How come MN payment is only included in some blocks? Is there a way to avoid it?

I'm guessing the latter as I see that 8Tqx3KnhLiF5wTHX918aU5Sjxw73DQ3Uap is pretty good at avoiding it.
e.g. http://explorer.8-bit.ga/block/b8ca0118668957eddda3727816352147193ada29b304b0aa5ce28a85aa72a4bf

There are cheaters on board who abuse not enforced MN payments. I don't know what's the scale of the problem currently, but the best way to minimize profits of cheaters, maximize profits of legitimate users (and actually improve network security ) is to run both staking- and master- nodes.

I wanted to set different masternode on windows but I read that there are problems and that takes so much memory.
So better than I do all about linux ununtu?

How many masquerade I can set up having 8Gb of RAM available, and how many coins do I get with 1masternode / day?
Thank you

It sounds like people get around 1 8bit per day per masternode. The answer to your first question I assume to be 8 or so, but this really depends.

I have a couple questions as well. To set up multiple masternodes, must I run multiple wallet instances at once and use separate blockchain data directories for each instance? This seems impractical, especially since my computer has difficult enough of a time running one instance of 8bitd, on Ubuntu. 800MB memory usage for a single 8bitd instance is an issue, and it needs to be resolved imo.

So use the fact that one 8bitd instance requires ~800MB RAM to function, and factor in the RAM req'd by OS, and yeah, I'd say you could safely run 8 masternodes... or so. That's 8 8bit per day.

I think the wallet needs some major work done with it. I am about to run an 8bit mn out of nothing but pure interest in doing so, but I'll say it does not make any economic sense whatsoever at this time to do so. The profit is not nearly enough to pay for the power req'd to run 8bitd. Perhaps the person with the 18BTC 8bit buy-order on cryptopia will fix it or hire someone to fix it once his/her order fills. hmmm... just tossing out ideas. This, or, another option imo, raise the amount req'd to run an mn to 1K 8bit, or 8K 8bit, or whatever, something higher, so that rewards are higher and therefore the whole operation becomes economically feasible. Bc 8bit is the sh**, and it deserves it.
