This is a great development and one that should be applauded, Bitcoin is indeed going places and i am always happy when i see new businesses accepting bitcoin payment, this is really commendable to be honest, i wish such a store was in my area, i did become their number one customer who did always walk in, buy stuffs and pay in bitcoin.

Well, its all good by the way, little by little, bitcoin will become a major currency that is accepted in every store, and by every business around the world, Adoption is not something that happens over night, for most new things, it sometimes takes even 100s of years, i am personally very happy that in just few years of bitcoin's existence, it has gained much love and acceptance from people around the world, even prominent and highly influencer people are now investing in bitcoin, that shows one thing, and that is that, bitcoin will one day become a dominant currency all over the world.

But the owner of the business should consider payment directly to a decentralized wallet instead of using centralized exchanges.
Take note that so many businesses that accept payment in BTC would rather use a payment processor than a self custody wallet because they want to convert it immediately to fiat, because they don't have any intention of holding their payments in BTC, especially because of volatility, another reason is that most businesses immediately put back the money they make into the business by buying more goods with it, if they hold their payments in BTC, and the price drops, they may not be able to sell it when they want to and it will affect their business.

I don't think the wallet a merchant uses is important, they only want to give people the opportunity to make their payment in BTC, which helps with adoption, while they can decide to either hold the BTC or use a payment processor to convert it immediately to fiat.

That's right, don't put too much emphasis on centralized or decentralized wallets if we use bitcoin as a means of payment and not as an investment. For businesses even if they accept bitcoin, they won't hold it for too long. At the end of the day, they will definitely exchange them for fiat to avoid unnecessary losses due to the volatility of bitcoin. Using a non-custodial wallet in this case doesn't help, on the contrary, we have to pay extra transaction fees to convert them to fiat at the end of the day.

Job weldone OP, you have done well for this idea on the business, accepting Bitcoin in a business is also a good idea to spread the awareness of Bitcoin in the society, we are all have for this op and I am beginning to imagine the love you have for Bitcoin to accept it on the clothes store, now any body who haven't heard anything about Bitcoin can see this and join the Bitcoin community.

For your information, I am not the owner of this kind of business. I am just sharing others' businesses that are accepting Bitcoin as payment method.

To attract others though, they might need to do some kind of a limited time discount or promo for customers who wants to buy their stuff using Bitcoin.

Bitcoin may seem slow in your city, but it's gaining momentum thanks to businesses like your sister's restaurant and bar.

If Bitcoin becomes the norm, education and awareness campaigns would be crucial. Bitcoin's slow but steady development in popularity could be a sign of a healthy and expanding economy.

Slow progress was preferable to none at all. This may necessitate a gradual transition to cryptocurrencies. Its encouraging to witness steady economic expansion. In the long run, this might hurt the economy.

Slow is better than none yes! The turtle always wins the race. As long we are consistent to keep spreading the word about the real use cases of Bitcoin, we could see massive adoption in the coming years.

Even if only one merchant adopts bitcoin as a payment method, it is really progress, no matter how small the business is. It is already good progress for Bitcoin, and even that business attracts more customers who are Bitcoin users. For sure, you are in a country where Bitcoin is legal, or in a gray area, which is why there are businesses accepting it there. In my area, like where I am living right now, I don't see any businesses accepting it, but in the metro area, it already exists, but we can't go there as it's too far from our place.

It looks like the BTC adoption is starting to increase here in my home city apart from my sister's restobar and other small food establishments.

I can see that by continuing education and awareness about Bitcoin and crypto in local cities like mine, adoption is more likely to happen no matter how long will it take.

Slow progress is better than none at all.
Any news about acceptance and integration of Bitcoin payments would be always be that a positive thing although these merchants would really be sticking into those thirdparty merchants on which its never been that

shocking since they cant really just accept those coins directly on their own wallet but rather they would really be accepting which would directly be making out some conversion into fiat on which this is really just that a typical set up with those merchants that accepting Bitcoin or crypto payments on using up those platforms but well its still better yet recognition is really on the move or really shows that it is really that gaining traction now.
Just like been said that any news of recognition is always that positive and sooner or later years to come on which we would really be flooded out by lots of shops and business which would really be integrating or
recognizing crypto of Bitcoin payments which it is really that good to look at that we are really that progressing.

It is nice to see that the initiative of using BTC as payment option for businesses these days is becoming more common.
Tesla as a company initially started with this idea of using BTC as payment for their cars, until who knows what, they just stopped. Still, the management of the Tesla company are offering renewed hope to its potential customers that it might soon start accepting cryptocurrency or in this case BTC, as payments.

Other companies are also adopting this idea, as it saves them the cost of huge fees and taxes.
I don't really know the country you are from, but if you are from England, then it is likely you would see more businesses accepting cryptocurrency as payment options too, because following the recent regulation imposed on it by SEC, it is the only yardstick for which its citizens should transact or receive crypto payments.

It's great to see that some stores like the one in your home city, are starting to accept Bitcoin as a payment method. I hope this trend spreads to my country as well since I haven't come across any shops here that accept crypto yet. It would be an excellent alternative for people who don't have a lot of money in fiat but still want to purchase some clothes they like, With the option to use their BTC for immediate payments, they can easily get what they desire.

I'm genuinely happy to witness this positive development regarding Bitcoin in your country. I hope to see such adoption in my country and in different places around the world soon!

I think the adoption of bitcoin as a means of payment is indeed very good as the interest of its users increases. But I don't know how long the shop you are referring to has accepted bitcoin as a means of payment there, but then I started to be interested to see how interested visitors are in using bitcoin as a means of payment.

From the QR code attached, I found a wallet as a means of payment. Interestingly, not a single transaction has taken place on that wallet till the time I made this post. Then I can conclude that, shop customers are still very likely not getting the proper interest to use bitcoins as a means of payment, or maybe they are not aware and not well educated that bitcoins are a means of payment. So is adopting bitcoin there very effective, but of course bitcoin can be an alternative currency.

The wallet for the QR code in the image (if my code scanner is not mistaken):

A little progress is also progress, after all.

Did you yourself buy clothes here, paying with bitcoin, in order to stimulate and encourage this store in the initiative to accept bitcoin? This would be that very small contribution to the common cause of progress.

The sign "BITCOIN Accepted here" is too small and modest, as if the Louise & Louise store is embarrassed to openly and loudly declare it. BTC-tablet must be made proportionate to the brand name plate so that everyone can see it and this would be the very advertisement for bitcoi. If you visit this store again, please convey my wishes about the increase "BITCOIN Accepted here" to them. Smiley

I feel happy to see that your home city has the awareness of bitcoin and have also started promoting it by accepting it for payment of goods. Is the person a member of this forum ? If no,you can introduce the person to this forum so that s/he can have more understanding and learn more on bitcoin.

Bitcoin was created to be used and not to hodli that is how I think that bitcoin adoption will increase rapidly. But if we hold on our bitcoin for long people might not be able to use it for transaction and this might kill the fast adoption. My reason is this for someone who don't know anything about bitcoin but if he goes to a store that accepts bitcoin, he can start asking question to know what kind of currency it is.
I also feel the same way, it's great to hear that a shop or merchant accepts Bitcoin as payment because it is proof that Bitcoin adoption and development continues.
And that's also what I did and only once, I used Bitcoin as payment for my wife's birth because at that time I had no cash because there was no time and also panicked in those circumstances.
and that time i also made this story a thread here because it was my first experience, and i did the question you asked, and i asked if you know this forum or bitcointalk and he did but he has another forum he believes. So I think those who are involved with Bitcoin have different interests because they have their own forums or other communities that can help them in terms of knowledge.

And yes, if shops or merchants can accept Bitcoin as payment, it will be a question of buyers about Bitcoin. And the seller must be able to explain it as well as possible so that those who don't know Bitcoin know it, especially the functions and benefits of Bitcoin and who knows might be interested.

Definitely a good thing to see despite of the issues present in this industry. Glad to know that there are still businesses who are considering the adoption of this technology regarding mode of payment. But to those who are still not into consideration, it is just fine. Not all people could take the risk of doing so 'coz they believe that the risk would also doubled afterwards. We saw nany stories having the same content but unfortunately not all businesses can manage to do that. Many have shown the same category but eventually ended up with a huge loss. The market price is volatile it imposes additional risk which pushes small businesses to cut their losses and to just continue witj the normal set up

That is really sweet picture on the internet right now. I don't want hear someone saying that it is just single store and what is big news in that or something like that because we have start somewhere and this is one of the little step amongst the giant leaps. I am more than happy to share this with my friends and colleagues because it is already making me feel more closer to the bitcoin acceptance. It would be no wonder to see the Bitcoin Accepted logo Or sticker getting pasted almost every other shop out there in let us say within a decade or something. We have come really far when Satoshi invented Bitcoin and shown us the new currency that can be used with free will in this world. I am not sure what was the internet reaction to this picture but I am sure Bitcoin Fan would never want to miss such epic entrance to a store while randomly shopping.  Wink

More small stores accepting bitcoin could happen following the measure taken by the clothing apparel store. Everything requires a base and now it is laid on the city. This will let the common people analyse and know about bitcoin as well as interests other stores around to start accepting bitcoin into their businesses.

It looks like the clothing apparel store have got good brand value. Maybe in the shopper cover bitcoin acceptance can be printed along with the store name which would bring people who were in search of stores to spend bitcoin.

This is another means of promoting Bitcoin in that locality and also attracting customers to their market, as many people will like to try out the new payment method, which is different from their local bank transfer, card payment, and all of that.

One question that I will have to ask is this: is there any limit to the amount of purchase one needs to make in order to be able to use the Bitcoin payment option? I'm asking as the fee sometimes will be a little high compared to what the person is buying. Which could make it a little expensive for the buyer.

Is there any discount on payment using BTC? I ask because some businesses usually add a discount on payment in BTC for a certain period of time after adopting the payment method, this is to encourage people to make payments in BTC.

I guess this discount will definitely be given, but it will be limited, as both parties are going to be charged for the transaction, so maybe the shop can have a discount for anyone who will purchase up to a certain amount and at the same time is also willing to pay with Bitcoin, then the shop can give out a discount maybe up to 5%, which will also be another way of telling people to buy more, pay with Bitcoin, and get yourself some discounts. I see this kind of adoption as something that will help both sides.

This is good news for your country, because this is a development that is one step ahead of other countries that do not allow payments with Bitcoins. Especially if the clothing store in your country is very well known in your country, of course other large stores will later follow in the footsteps of the clothing store to accept Bitcoin as their payment option as well.

I also hope that one day in my country there will be businesses or shops that can accept payments with Bitcoin. because so far in my country bitcoin is still prohibited as a means of payment, it can only be allowed to buy and sell. Trust me the benefits of bitcoin as a payment method over fiat are numerous such as lower fees, high security and fast processing.

It's nice to see many businesses and startups incorporating bitcoin transactions and receiving payments from their customers in bitcoin, though this may sound nee to you probably you're having the opportunity of seing one of it kind for the first time but i can tell you that there are more than thousands of business establishments, organizations, institutions that accepts bitcoin as a means of payment, just as im case of your own experience here, bitcoin will be seen from another dimension for other people within your settings to begin it adoption seing this already turning a success.

We need more of these merchants.  We need to see Bitcoin being accepted as mode of payment in every corner of the street.  This does not only advertise Bitcoin but also promotes the use case of Bitcoin which is way more important than anything else.  If people get informed that Bitcoin can be use as payment in different store in our society, I believe it will encourage people to get a hold of some BTC and use them as a mode of payment for the goods they wanted to buy.
