The revolution will be monetized!

Let me understand. You bought in cheap and are telling noobs to buy now or to hodl even if they bought in late.
That's getting people screwed.

I never tell anyone what to do. I buy all the time and spend all the time. I largely ignore the price. And I certainly do not speculate or invest in bitcoin, that would be very risky unless you spend more than you put in. At that point you are using the casinos money and who cares what happens?

I have been advising to get out of BTC since forever ago. We went down quite a lot, people lost a lot.

Well, once you trade BTC for cash or buy something when the price is low you have locked in your loss. People who are holding, which I don't recommend, may still realize profits. You have only lost when you sell low.
Quote

So you are helping people get screwed and you are asking me if *I* lost money or "missed the train?". How exactly does that work?
The businesses I have helped love bitcoin. I advise them to use a service like BitPay or Coinbase. They face zero volatility risk, are paid in minuets, and make an extra 3% on each sale.

There is absolutely NO GUARANTEE this will go back up like it did in the past.
This is serious shit, people are losing real money son.
I agree. There are few guarantees in life. Anyone who thought "investing" serious money in bitcoin was seriously mistaken about what bitcoin is. It goes up and down on demand alone. That's a brutal but fair market, if you have the stomach for it. I prefer to buy some then use them as a way to spend on the internet.

I don't really understand the doom and gloom. When BTC spiked to over 1k, no one said the world was coming to an end. Now it bounces back to "normal" levels and people think it's the apocalypse.

That's fine. Sell me your BTC. Smiley
Every single one of us who had been involved in BTC prior to the 2013 rise knew it was unnatural. We discussed it ad nauseum on IRC for weeks. I posted about it here many times over, and I was one of the least vocal about it.

Wasn't cyprus part of the first price hike in 2013?

If so do you not think that helped to fuel the price rise...natural or unnatural.

Please define "unnatural".
Cyprus was attributed to the March 2013 rise, but it quickly settled back down, as they had a bailout within 10 days of the news dropping. We went from around $40 to 230, and back to 60 again within 30 days of that news. I guess you can attribute the rise from 40-60 to that. Once again though, that was all speculative investments (and mostly from people already involved with BTC), and very few Cyprus funds actually went into Bitcoin, as there simply wasn't time between bank lockout and bailout.

Just because bitcoin was pumped&dumped several times in the past doesn't make it a good investment.

Stop scamming noobs into losing money.

Are you a noob?

Did you lose money?  Roll Eyes
No and no.

I'm not the one holding a free falling currency.

Actually it does, proving the patterns repeat over and over again would make it a great investment right now.

My guess, this is his second account. He lost all his money with the other account because a guy on the internet said he could double his money. Fukin bitcoin.

If he lost money it should only be his fault. If he let someone convince him into buying bitcoin at a high price compared to today, then it isn't anyone else's fault but his.

People need to start taking responsibility for their actions instead of whining and crying.

Classic pyramid schemer logic.

Not a scheme when you buy honestly at a low price and just so happens the price goes much higher due to market forces.

You are now performing the "Classic butthurt logic".  Grin Grin Grin

Do you think it will happen again (even if unnatural), or was 2013 an oddity?

This is awesome, thanks!
Like what I found search in this forum, it seems 2012 was the most peaceful year so far, with almost no deaths.
