First of all Christmas greetings to everyone on this forum. This is an appreciable move to help homeless people and bring happiness on the faces of people. We all regardless of our religion and country should continue this practise through out the year. Since that's the teaching of Christ and all other Prophets. Take care of everyone around you.

Merry Christmas OP. Saw that the BTC address was all sad and lonely on Christmas day, so sent a little something on. Always like to see these little things pop up, just be sure you send the cheer along and tell them of course, Bitcoin > memecoin. A little bit of education doesn't hurt, no?

What do you guys like to eat on Christmas? I see Indomie and that's pretty much a staple in my food cabinet Wink

Greetings to Nigeria from Borneo.
Thank you for your support. Life after covid is very expensive in Nigeria. Buying a pack of indomie noodles and protein is not what everybody can afford. I can tell you families have nothing to eat this Christmas. Just yesterday, a man committed suicide yesterday leaving his two kids and wife. According to the story, he had lost his job in 2019 and has been struggling since. Cases like this are common and we can help spread hope through this campaign. I have volunteers cooking nourishing meals to give out. Part of the items we bought are yam, indomie noodles, spaghetti noodles, bread, drinks, soap, milk, chocolate, pack of rice.

That's really nice. I will send some bitcoin next week. In slums there is a high poverty rate and a high crime rate. And it is more difficult to cure diseases than in big cities. It would be nice if this creates something long term and you/we can help again and again.

Funny thing though the driver that drove us to the market told me he is hodling Shiba Inu and wakanda Inu, looking at his appearance one wouldn't think he's educated on crypto.
Shiba Inu and what? Wakanda Inu… I hope you told him that he hodl bitcoin  Wink

This is just amazing and I really commendable for you to do it, thanks for bringing Bitcoin with humanity. I hope you asked for his permission regarding the image, nevermind if you did. I don't know what's drive him on HODLing Shiba but I think he got basic knowledge regarding crypto just how it works I guess.

Anyways, this is an amazing job!

Good job out there! You are doing a great job and I'm excited about your effort of giving back to the slums. They will forever be grateful to your kind gestures. Don't stop doing good because it pays back in a big form. The driver in question is excited and would be forever glad to have met you on a Christmas day.

The bitcoin community needs more people like you! keep the good work ongoing.

This is great, There have been similar threads here before and like them I will
be making a donation. A small amount from a lot of people can make a
huge difference to a campaign like this.

Its great to see people take action and especially at this time, well done.

It is always a heartwarming event specially when seeing things like this, when many are being denied of support and Help there you are giving your hands fully to at least bring smile in very simple and productive ways.

Please never lose this heart mate, you are a treasure not only of this community but of course the world.

I may have nothing to contribute now but let me cherish the happiness with you and the whole beneficiaries .

That's very nice of you! The essence of Christmas is sharing. I hope I'm wrong, but, unfortunately, it seems that we have the penchant to give much and more often to those who already have. We oftentimes give less, even ignore and forget those who don't have.

Anyway, setting aside the fact that the driver is hodling Shiba Inu and Wakanda Inu. Isn't it amazing that a driver is in fact into crypto? I could probably not find a driver here in my locality who knows what crypto is. That driver of yours only needs a little convincing before he will focus more, of perhaps only, on Bitcoin.

Its almost the end of the year. Christmas is here again and everyone is excited and busy with the festive season so much so we forget what Christmas is really about. Christmas is commercial these days.  As a result, I decided to start this project "Christmas In the Slums" mainly because I always wanted to help lift my community using crypto. I feel strongly for the homeless because I grew up in a poor family and I know first hand the shame and pain of poverty. Anyways, I went to the market today to buy some food items to hand out. I will be going out Christmas morning to hand out some meals and food items. This will continue till the end of the year 25-31st December 2021. Hopefully we can extend the project.  I designed a flyer with some QR codes and the url for the Bitcointalk website to maybe help gain exposure. I also made customized T-shirts for the kids.  I plan on expanding this as much as I can and getting the much needed exposure to push the campaign. Funny thing though the driver that drove us to the market told me he is hodling Shiba Inu and wakanda Inu, looking at his appearance one wouldn't think he's educated on crypto. I was so excited I started early and gave him a loaf of bread from the items.

That's the driver. His name is Bardeh. I had an amazing conversation with Bardeh. He was very happy to talk about Bitcoin and he had an open mind to learn.
