But looking at other thread about puzzle, cracking or brute-force Bitcoin, i notice many low-ranked account make reply on such thread.

That's what makes it suspicious. They are not just random newbies but accounts that haven't made a post before that thread.

Of course, shillers has also made progress and is doing it a little more sophisticatedly compared to the former "good project" posts. Over time, they learned how to avoid easy recognition of this way of communication.
Finally, there is an open offer for this type of service, easily accessible to everyone EmoneyMax.net - Best Shill Teams and Chatters! - 400+ clients already!

If this show is going to repeat itself, we will see this. This is not the first time OP has created "puzzles," and the next time he gets bored, he will have to use the same accounts, if you think about the fact that he is developing a farm this way, or get used to the fact that his topic is popular only with a few. If you look at the merits he sent earlier, their number is evenly distributed among only a few, and they are unlikely to be his alts.

Well, we will find out if he does anything suspicious with his sMerits in the future. Most people wouldn't make it obvious and would carry out each operation separately to make it look natural unless they are fools.

So, it's not Alt, but some kind of group that found a new place for their spam actions, so here they can dance around for the puzzle, in telegram they are not free to do so, in conclusion it's a bunch of bastards who found a new place.

I don't think it's a group, but it's more likely a single person controlling all those accounts for something we are not sure about yet.

This doesn't look like account farming. The only way to build an account is to get merits regardless of the amount of activity you can spam up. It's more likely the latter, they're shilling the thread to keep it up, but there still looks to be no end goal in that as the op is not selling a product or service.

The only pointer to there being something strange is the rank of the accounts and that's not enough indictment, so I'll say the conversation is normal. Possibly the op has a community where he shares his posts and members there respond to it.

I know it's not enough to reach the conclusion that it's a farm, but it's a suspicion that I had after looking at the thread and the accounts that were posted in it.

This is what made me ask the question and ask your opinion about whether it is a new way of farming accounts or a way to do shilling so that the thread stays afloat and makes it look like it has a lot of activity so that other members can engage.

When I saw the thread I wanted to make a comment but I also discovered there was no established member made any comment and that discouraged me to make comment. So I left the thread as well. And I was also thinking the same direction you said. Some of the comments were in their first comment in the thread.

Those guys are under suspicious because a newbie can't just come to the forum and straight to that thread and make comment. That puzzle is a difficult thing and need critical thinking.

What do you guys think? Does this seem coincidental to you or make you doubtful like me?
It's a kind of spammer community/group that is often found on Telegram, they have a group to talk about silly riddles, it's the same as a monkey fighting for an apple, they have a tribal chief, whose name is: RetiredCoder, he was the one who attracted all the members of the group to this forum, to talk about.

Guys, I'm bored today again, so let's have some fun: a mini-puzzle for puzzle #130.
As you requested, this time it's a bit more challenging Smiley

It's not much different than a group of bagongs finding a new place for their silly fun.

I'm not sure whether shilling or account farming is done here. But looking at other thread about puzzle, cracking or brute-force Bitcoin, i notice many low-ranked account make reply on such thread. In addition, our observation could be related with this thread, "Puzzle hunters" being terrible at English.

The OP in that thread created it to award merits in order to facilitate building up accounts allowing them to enrol in campaigns. What the OP has done in this case is not go down the merit abuse route though one has to question how could he create a self-moderated thread yet allow the lowest of low quality one sentence posts remain there.

Well, he might not have done something like merit abuse, but the things we are noticing are questionable, for sure. And who knows? He might go down that route in future threads if his intention with all these accounts is to grow their ranks. He creates threads about things he knows well and then uses his bots/alts to post in the thread; in a way, you can make your alts look like constructive posters because you are preparing responses and points and everything beforehand and then using multiple accounts to post them after creating the thread with your main account. And then, you can even merit the other accounts writing good points about the thread.

I did not count but the number of posts from newbies flooding that thread is simply unusual to say the least  Grin

It seems they are all bots/alts controlled by the OP. Smiley It's an army in the making, maybe, or maybe he just likes to see many people posting in his threads, so he is fulfilling that wish by doing it himself, lol.

When I checked the thread I was expecting it to be similar to the one that was created in order to give engage in merit abuse by giving merits to their own associated accounts: Questionable Merit History From: deadsea33

Um, yeah.  That whole thread reeks of sock puppeteering to say the least.  And when I see posts like this, I get very suspicious:

Lol, exactly. Most of their responses would make you feel like they are bots, for example:

Something makes me think this isn't a case of brand new members or those with only a few posts flocking to the same thread for whatever reason.  Those newbies are either confederates of OP or are his alt accounts, but either way I'm calling BS on it.

I know. I felt the same when I noticed what was happening in the thread. I'm pretty sure those are all alts controlled by OP. Anyone with sanity can figure that out; however, I'm unsure what's his purpose behind this because it can be one of the two things that he is trying to achieve with this: He is either trying to farm those accounts by growing their ranks eventually by creating threads and then posting with all his alts, and possibly, giving merits to them as well. Or, he does it to make his threads look crowded. Smiley

Then again, it's not like I've never seen crap like this before.  I'm not sure if the mods would do anything about that thread if you reported it, but they might take action on some of the zero-value posts like the ones above.

The OP has already locked the thread because it seems the puzzle has been solved. The winner didn't even post in the thread, lol. It was only OP, a couple of other users, and all his alts/bots.  Smiley

So, I visited the Bitcoin Discussion section today and saw the following self-moderated thread created by this user named RetiredCoder:

Mini-puzzle for puzzle #130

The thread is about a puzzle where the person who cracks it gets to keep the $700 worth of BCH. I read through the thread, and everything seemed normal until I noticed something strange/unusual.

Most of the users posted in that thread were newbies or brand-new who had all (or most) of their posts just in that thread. Some of those accounts were even created recently, while others were created earlier this year. These are a few of them:

llenn1227
Asmodeus_Zero
K0rvexX
ActiveC
love19

Now, I'm not blaming OP for anything, but this keeps me wondering why and how all these users decided to start their posting journey in the forum with that exact thread and why those accounts, which were created about 11 months ago or so, didn't post all this time but suddenly decided to start posting and from that thread alone and have made all their posts so far in that one thread.

This is what made me ask the question and ask your opinion about whether it is a new way of farming accounts or a way to do shilling so that the thread stays afloat and makes it look like it has a lot of activity so that other members can engage.

What do you guys think? Does this seem coincidental to you or make you doubtful like me?
