Hi,

I think that we are still in the process of changes, the last thing, I have read is that there are already countries that are trying not to use physical money, this I think is a great step to later fully and legally introduce cryptocurrencies.

An example is Sweden. Then I gave a reference that i find interesting.

https://sweden.se/business/cashless-society/

I don't think it is possible as of now because there is so much which needs to developed in order to reach that level but maybe in the future, it could happen.

It is possible to have but it will be difficult and will take a hard time for that to come into reality. Living in a place or country where many people resides having different personalities will surely have different perspective toward a certain thing. Even we want to have a total space where all people are using and accepting Bitcoin, still it is far beyond possible as of this moment added on taking into concern the stand of the government where we currently reside. Even we urge want to make it happen, there are still things to consider. I am not saying it is impossible it is just real hard and difficult to make happen as of now. But maybe in the near future it can go possible without any worries at all.

I think we have to wait for a long time before we see an acceptance of cryptocurrency in our country, there are already many innovations related to cryptocurrency so it is not impossible that someday it would be accepted in a country, let us just wait for it, if that would happen in the future then there would be many people who will get interested on it, which makes the community bigger.
As long as the cryptocurrency industry continuously grows, it may become a mainstream soon. Government acceptance is only needed when it comes to legalising cryptocurrency. Yet, the support of every crypto follower is more powerful. Cryptocurrency will become more develop once every person will be able to use it. If all people are already knowledgeable enough to understand how crypto works and how p2p transactions can ease and help us in our daily life. For sure, more years to come. We will see with our naked eyes on how will crypto grows in our community. To the point where we can use it to buy or sell whatever thing we want.

Is there any chance that we can find a place like Africa or island in pacific ocean to make bitcoin a totally legal currency?no shit from government.

Bitcoin is already free and you could totally use it or buy bitcoin and in most of the countries around the world except for those of the countries where bitcoin is banned.

There are so many countries where bitcoin is totally legal but the government is always there to watch how the bitcoin could perform, If we could make our own country that would operate with bitcoin, it only need to have the bitcoin as its own currency without having fiat money in its country.

If the people in that country only used that currency it would totally work without any problem since anyone could just spend their bitcoin at any physical store without any other fiat options.

Well if you would like to wait it to come to your place naturally, it might takes forever.
You need a power and huge connection like a mafia did to create the market, consumer, products and everything that run in our usual economics to make it a real bitcoin society and what you called as a free land for bitcoin.
If there is someone like pablo escobar who have huge influence and power , we can make it happened faster.

It is very much possible but not easy to execute. We have few examples already and you can Google their story on how these countries were created. These are commonly known as micronations.

1. Principality of Sealand
2. Kailasha
3. Filettino

You can check this wiki page to have complete list of micronations,

https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_micronations

However, you may not get acknowledged as a sovereign country by the United Nations. Also if you don't do anything illegal in nature, it's very unlikely to have interference from the government. So if you have funding, go ahead with it!

And if I may add, we don't need to find those countries or places that will fully accept bitcoin or crypto.
Maybe, we can learn a thing or two from this family who are living with their bitcoin who visited about 40 countries so far.

https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/family-survives-40-countries-living-only-on-bitcoins-5297498
https://www.cnbc.com/amp/2020/12/05/bitcoin-price-buying-bitcoin-how-this-family-buys-sells-everything-in-cryptocurrency.html

So it shows us that it is in your disposition how you can live with bitcoin.
You don't need to find a place just to fulfil your ambition. It is already existing.

I don't mean rich and poor, but adopting Bitcoin as a currency in African countries with poor economies won't have much of a positive effect.
They just have no choice but Bitcoin, nor can they use dollars as their primary currency because it belongs to the US government's copyright.  And Bitcoin has to be the only option and it just stops there and there is no other service evolution.  Do you think so? Undecided

Like there would be no tax for using and holding crypto either?, even though there are just a few of them left you can still find some countries that are crypto friendly or at least have no law against crypto and are tax free, but most of these countries have rather weak or almost non-existent economy, one country that comes to mind that has a good economy and at the same time it doesn't have any law against using or holding crypto with 0% tax on crypto is Portugal, it's a beautiful country too and I don't think there is any better alternative than this one when you want to move somewhere that is crypto friendly.

I've already read a certain article regarding Bitcoin ATM's in Africa and I think that is a one sign of bitcoin adoption in their region.

It means that their development and approach towards cryptocurrency is advance compared to other countries who are having a hard time accepting and engaging in this kind of development. I believe that some countries in Asia will still grab the opportunity to accept and spend time learning the advantages and benefits of bitcoin in their economy.

Even if we could, which I doubt very much, is there a reason to do something like this? What has allowed bitcoin to outlive previous attempts to create a currency independent from government control is the fact that is decentralized and that you cannot simply confiscate a few servers and put some people in jail and kill the project, doing something like that will be the same as trying to centralize bitcoin and that place will soon be disbanded and all of that effort would have been for nothing, it is better that bitcoin keeps going in the direction it has and that it is governments themselves which convince themselves of the futility of pursing bitcoin and its users.

There is no way that any governmental body won't oppose to Bitcoins and other cryptocurrencies since the main thing is , in these countries where you mention in your post , there is a lot of Corruption. Which does mean that these countries will have a very hard time accepting a crypto which would actually make everything very open , it could be beneficial for the people but the government won't actually step up and try and legalize this , since they will always worry about cryptocurrencies being used in illegal activities.
I do believe what matters is: government shouldn't intervene in Bitcoins and other cryptocurrencies so much , they should treat Bitcoins as an asset which they have to protect!
In my native country it's very funny since the government cannot decide weather to benefit from Bitcoins or to ban it , but in the country am studying it's really amazing since people here also exchange Bitcoins for cash and you can very easily make transactions without any problems. Only problem is: not every shop accept Bitcoins, then again we have to correct the lightning network first for that.

in my country bitcoin is still safe and still active and there is no prohibition from the government regarding bitcoin storage but any risk of incidents of government bitcoin problems does not take the risk at its own responsibility and I still feel free in bitcoin users without government rules maybe there will be regulations but still in the design we look forward to. my hope bitcoin is still in my country officially from the government and protection from hackers.

LOL.. 4-5 years ago, I had created a thread to discuss the idea of an artificial island which is outside the EEZ of UN member countries. It was quite popular, but in the end the conclusion was that the idea was not viable. A lot of capital is required and there is no guarantee that the super-powers such as the United States and China would allow such an artificial island to come up in the international waters.

It is very difficult to fully legalize bitcoin since there are many legislative nuances, and even more so, local authorities will try to build legislation in such a way as to make money on ordinary people, so unfortunately there is no place on earth where bitcoin could fully function
If you can convince a few stores owners in your locality to start accepting bitcoin then you can start using bitcoin for daily use. Here people are dreaming about starting their own legislation and for you to start using bitcoin you do not need such legalities until your current government turns against bitcoin, until then you can use them freely and most government will allow the use of bitcoin.

I think it would only happen if some multimillionaire would buy an island and make it a private island for Bitcoin.
Even if that kind of island do exist not every Bitcoin enthusiast could go and live there.

We've been waiting for a bitcoin free land for a long time. The truth is, you can't regulate bitcoin. It doesn't matter what the government does at the end of the day. Bitcoin is likely to be accepted by the people, but not by the government. This is the current situation of bitcoin.

I think that bitcoin may well become a legal currency primarily in small States (especially those that are limited to a single city), at least as an experiment. It is necessary to create conditions where both the state and its residents will receive a profit from using bitcoin and then legalization will not take long.
