The main issue is all the new users that come here without an account and don't see any red trust.  Can someone explain why trust doesn't show up to someone that is not logged in?

there has been a lot of demands by various members regarding this matter, seems like theymos has a different way of looking at things, this is one of the main reasons why i created this list, while visitors can't see the feedback of these scammers, they would be lucky enough if they happen to find the list before making any deals on the forum, that's pretty much all we can do for now.

The duplicates aren't mine Tongue I'll remove them in the next update.

this happens because sometimes i get too lazy to search for the name and add it twice and it gets lost in the middle of this long list of scumbags,i don't think duplicates will be of any harm but removing them would indeed be appropriated. i will update the list as soon as possible.

Thanks to everyone who is contributing to this.

I think this person was probably on the list by mistake, OR it is a mistake that he is not banned.

He has zero posts ATM. I presume it is the later.

Also helpful would be links to all of these people's threads, so that readers can see examples of what constitutes a scam attempt in Digital Goods.

I have looked at the Digital Goods section multiple times recently, and nearly every thread on the first several pages was a clear scam attempt, or a clear attempt to launder money, or both.

DUSKEEGIFTCARDS was tagged for being a very obvious fake thread vouching and trust vouching alt of (now banned) BOLG1 along with DUSKS, DUSK, DUSK(pick a wildcard). Sinceyadin, kafiristanica and undoubtedly a lot more and IIRC also had his own thread. Many threads and thread topics get changed or deleted.  Many of the messages in the threads get changed or deleted. Kind of like with the Skeptical triplets of which 2 of the 3 are banned and #3 is trying to behave like the good little scammer boy he is and waiting to jump back in for "the big payback".  Cheesy  They deleted all the old messages (including fake sockpuppet vouches) from a number of their locked threads.

Obviously you didn't read his -999999999999999999 bright red 100% negative trust with about 3 pages of red negs.  Sadly, the only person you have to blame for this one is yourself.  Gotta do the due diligence.

It is the first time I know about this topic. I declare my joining the efforts of others in updating this list continuously.

There are a lot of Scam members that I tagged them on my trust. I wish some DT members to evaluate each case and tag those who deserve it "Mistakes always happen, let me know if I accidentally tag someone."

"we" usually don't tag those with no locked/self-moderated topics, which i see you do in 2 feedback of yours which checked randomly, the use of autobuy links in itself is not an indication of scammy behavior, but using those in a self-moderated topic / locked topic is almost a confirmation for scam.

if you don't mind narrowing the list of your feedback only to those with self-moderated and locked topics i will gladly evaluate them 1 by 1 and add them to the list.( this will also serve as good practice should anyone decide to add you to DT2, those feedback will probably get in the way of doing so)

thanks a lot

Good update.  Thanks

Thank you for helping a newbie like me spotting scammers.
I got scammed for $1200 by IPTVReseller selling IPTV reseller pannels.
For 2 days I have been learning and trying to figure out what I did wrong and did not read.
Help me spot 2 scammers for GC, Have to tell you this is crazy.
I tried to leave a positive trust for you but it told me I can also do one with my activity. Will give you positive once I have some Reputation.
You need to give this thread a weekly bump.
Thanks again

Although I'm not buying digital goods in the marketplace of this forum, it is good if you can post their profile link or even the thread they have started for people awareness, sometimes people mistype the name and might think that they are dealing with the right person.

I don't have an automated method to do that, nor the time to do it manually, i hope someone else can take care of it.

You should charge .0000000001BTC but have the buyer drop a penney in a collection box to officially make it a sale.

the list is now on sale, get it while available Grin

This is pretty useful information to avoid them especially to all newbies who don't know their background yet.
It is a good idea to spread their bad doings because these type of person will only ruin the good reputation of other who are serious about their offer.

It's excellent information and should be "stickied" on the top of the digital goods section because there ain't a chance in hell that a real; "newbie" (not someone else's alt) will find their way here to see it.  This forum encourages scammers by not taking any action against them (especially those who have been blatantly scamming for years).  If I were an outsider I'd say there might be some "collusion" going on here.  I have had messages deleted from a scammers locked thread that was NOT self moderated calling them out.  I have also requested messages with personal attacks against me be deleted and they were not.

you right, if you go to much hard on them, the admin or moderator here will find one-way to banned you. therefore encourage bunch of trash scammers.

Nah, there's no reason to be too paranoid. Having the place overtly over-run by scammers is also likely to drive traffic away from the site.

What would be good is to have a sticky with all the known scammers on it but they have to be proven scammers rather than a my word against his. Sometimes a trust rating in red writing isn't enough to warn people not to trade

exactly, ! and guess what my list which i was selling for free has just got deleted Cheesy . so is it possible that one of the scammers has access to a moderator / admin account ? since i am just newbie here, maybe somebody else should with better understanding for how this forum works should sell the list Cheesy

I don't think there is a conspiracy. Post a thread in Meta and ask why your thread was against the rules. As far as I can see there is no rule against but I might be wrong.

As is normal here, sadly this thread will be moved to "scam accusations" so no one who needs to see it would.  Scams are allowed to perpetuate forever here but these posts go into neverneverland.

This is honestly pretty terrible, but in my opinion, if we made a thread about the most common ways of scamming with digital goods, it would have a fair chance of staying in that section as long as it was not directed towards any users in particular. Something sort of what I described in my previous post would probably get the green light by the mods, although of course, I can't be sure. If I have time later tonight I might do it myself, but it does get annoying to have the same sort of sales in there that for those of us who are experienced are obviously scams.

Just not allowing LOCKED or SELF MODERATED threads in the DIGITAL sections would resolve probably 75% of the problem.  Not all for sure ... but a lot more than the posts that no one reads anyway.

exactly, ! and guess what my list which i was selling for free has just got deleted Cheesy . so is it possible that one of the scammers has access to a moderator / admin account ? since i am just newbie here, maybe somebody else should with better understanding for how this forum works should sell the list Cheesy

only use ESCROW dealing with these guys.

No. Just don't. At all. Trying to use escrow with these scammers might get someone scammed by a fake escrow.

Correct. Just dont buy anything at all from them.  Even if you use escrow, the scammer is likely to back out/disappear/not deliver and then you are left with the escrow fee.   Just avoid scammers altogether.

selling the scam list Cheesy, i do not think anyone has the right to move my topic else where !!

check it out Cheesy

You should charge .0000000001BTC but have the buyer drop a penney in a collection box to officially make it a sale.

for that we need to chose a coin that has 0 or low fees BTC transactions are kinda high :d.

let's see, i don think they will move it ! but should they do, then i'l charge a whole PENNEY for the list Cheesy

If you see any threads in digital goods that are self moderated and/or locked, with an autobuy link inside, you know for sure that it's a scam. And it goes without saying that all of them promise really good deals that of course will not be delivered.

Most of these people are already tagged, yet I see a lot of people still falling for these scams.

It's quite simple, just use your common sense. Don't go without escrow in the digital goods or goods section of the forum. Autobuy links aren't escrow services, there is no way for you to recover your funds once you send it.

We should also make a similar list of common "digital goods" that may not quite qualify as scams but are pretty misleading in what they are or have the potential to become a scam or stop working but it may not be immediately obvious. The first thing that comes to mind is all of these "random steam key" sellers. These are usually selling useless keys that they have gotten through bundles or giveaways and aren't actually "random". What they do is pretend they don't know the games that the keys are for, even when they definitely do, and also advertise good games that are not actually obtainable. Same thing goes with many software keys or licenses, especially Adobe. These usually do not last longer than a couple of months before they are deactivated or revoked.
