There is a growing movement to do just that. Pull all troops back here, close all overseas bases. Leave nato and the UN and only deal with other countries if it envolves trade our our defense. People are getting sick of war. In 200 years 1.1 million soldiers have died in US led wars, 400,000 of those during our civial war alone.

I say we pull out, the day after the Middle East and parts of Asia will be a war zone. Once the battles are over then make trade deals with the winner. People protest outside US bases and embassies, but we are the ones keeping the world together. Yes it is through violence and the threat of violence, but the outcome is the same.

Once we no longer rely on other countries oil, the whole of the Middle East won’t have anything worth the US protecting.

You say that now. But how many American troops are stationed in your country?

lol what? if anything the world is getting more and more connected. i see no possible future the US shuts itself off from the rest of the world!

Well, if it was true, then the US must pack their things out from other country.. US cant hide behind the word "Peacekeeper" and let those countries do their own business..
ooh and about that oil things, US can supply their own oil needs... i mean, really ? well then just ask IRAQ and Lybia tho..

Oh.. please do that. The world will be a much more peaceful and calmer place to live, without the evil influence of the United States. The Americans have invaded countless third world nations and have sponsored thousands of terrorist organizations including the Taliban in Afghanistan, ISIS in Syria and the AUC in Colombia. Please go away and leave the world in peace.

People hate different things continuously, not just the US. And it's not all people. And many people here in the US hate others, and other countries all the time, knowing very little about them.

Little tip. WMDs were found in Iraq. I was part of the crew that found some. I recieve a pension because I was exposed, accidentally, (leaky Iraqi scud missle) to a nerve agent. The tips of my fingers and toes are numb, no feeling and eventually it will Spread and probably kill me. Does my medical paperwork state that? Nope. It says I was exposed to a chemical that is used to clean oil pipes, hexavaliant chromium. I was told in no uncertain terms that if I spoke out or went to the media then I would loose my pension.

We were given amunizatiosn for anthrax and small pox before we went.

Now 40 miles west of the Syrian border in a bunker 20 feet underground is where we found the chemical weapons. The packaging said “property of US government”. Regan gave the weapons to saddam and he used them against Iran. No better way to field test a weapon then to give it to someone who will use it.

Point is the war was not about removing a dictator and finding WMDs to show the world, it was about finding our weapons we gave to him and making sure no one found out.

The US was worried about saddam and afraid of his fall. If that happened then whoever took over might use and/or report that they had US provided chemical weapons. We did a preintive strike removing saddam and making the weapons vanish.

On a side note. Saddam was a sick and twisted individual that the people are better off without even with all the chaos we caused.

The goneva convention considers willing human shields as enemy combatives, reguardless of sex or age. If someone willingly hides and supports an enemy they can then be treated as an enemy combatant.

And yes we do have wars, but if not for us everyone I’m eiurope would be speaking German.

We are a warrior country, our whole 200 years of history have been about war. Look at the first 100 years. We fought the British, the French the American Indians and after that we fought each other in a terrible and costly civial war.

Yes, i will ask this question to the burned Vietnamese trees and town and to the destroyed towns in Iraq in the infinite search for the "fake mass destruction weapons" and so on.
Most of the Americans politicians are sick and having hidden agendas that's why many people around the world hate them but this doesn't mean that they hate the American citizens.

It is nice that you think so much of your country, but when your country gets invaded by US and they slaughter women and children without any punishment to those who did it, you kinda lose faith in such propaganda.

US government is responsible for a lot of death across the World my friend. You can wave your money around all you want, it can't buy you any respect.

American exceptionalism 

Yeah we would have to deal without the web and the latest iPhone sure, but we could survive. Our reputation is born mostly out of jealousy. Jealousy of our freedoms, our military even our food stores. That’s why the US doesn’t fight to bring the world together, there isn’t a point.

It's all about REPUTATION. US has made quite the non - so - good type of reputation all around the world. that is the problem. The country it self is not a bad place, but politics and it's policies that is the problem.


Simple truth is no country can survive without other countries in a world that is globalize. Food is not everything, World is build on a Import / export economy.

US or any other country MUST focus not on going solo, but bringing the world together as one. Only way mankind will survive will be if the world face upcoming challenges as one, if they try to face that solo, that will be the end of Human race as we know it.

US is a big part of world's everything. That is true. but they cannot survive without other countries. No one can.

Seems the haters are everywhere. People that have never visited the US nor have ever known anything about her except from American television sure have some opinions. One of these days the US will cut itself off from the world and let it fall apart. It has already started

We have been devaluing the dollar, we don’t care because once pulled from the world market it’s value outside the US will be meaningless.

We are almost to the point, another 20 years, where we will supply our own oil.

We grow enough food to feed every man woman and child in this country.

We have started closing military bases overseas.

The writing is on the wall, question is if we did pull from the world stage how much of the world would be civilized 10 years after?
