I would recommend him/her to not invest bitcoins for now and wait for the end of halving period .that was the best idea to earn a profut then after that i would recommend to invest it on trading but a little bit only for starting and practicing how to do trades .

Investing in bitcoin is good idea but first he should be aware about bitcoin, and he also need to take care that he doesn't invest in cloud mining or doubler site.

It's interesting that most people (at least indirectly) have the expectation that money by itself should generate interest, even if the currency in question is a deflationary one.

All methods to grow one's Bitcoin holding by making investments are risky ones. But there is no need to take such risks, because Bitcoin is practically a deflationary currency. If Bitcoin succeeds as a currency, its purchasing power will increase just by holding it.

So the simplest and least risky strategy is: Buy some BTC and hodl.

If you want more return: Find some work that is paid for and buy more. Smiley

I would recommend for that teen to spend about a tenth of that amount to buy stuff online using bitcoin, so he'd have an idea how things work and what's the value of what he has. I'd also tell him to buy some for short, medium, and long term hold, since he is young and have all the time in the world to earn much more than what he has now.

There aren't any way to grow/invest money with low risk. Hold until bitcoin price increased or join signature campaign (with buy account) are the way with lowest risks.

Let's say a young teenager is given some coming-of-age money from their family, and is interested in growing that money through Bitcoin. Without encouraging him/her to invest in risky strategies, what are some lower risk methods of growing a Bitcoin portfolio with a hypothetical gift of $1K?
The best investment Imo is buy the coins, keep them in some safest wallet, hold it for atleast five years. If everything goes well you can get as much as 10-20 times more from your coins

There are only 3 thing i can recommend to that teen.First is dont buy bitcoins and make her/his own business,a home based business.Second thing is go buy bitcoins.Start investing on some sites and let money grow,go to a revshare site and buy some needed stuff to earn there for a passive income,o start gambling.Third is go buy yur own minig rigs from the money given to him/her.

The best way to invest is definitely to go to cloud mining or something like that, a safe, trusted investment website, and eventually get a profit.

I think it will take a long time to a teenager to learn cloud mining. cmiiw

looking for partner, its best option, make a project with your partner, and invest some money on it. or looking for trader and give them funds for trading, share profit you get.

you obviously never had a partner and/or never have been ripped off by your partner Smiley
looking for partner is good but as long as you have enough experience and don't trust your partner 100% ever. especially as a teenager who is "given" a lot of money.

I think that cloud mining is the best way to make money. But trading is also good, need to think what is closer to him.

Trading, Mining or Lending would be good investment for him. bitcoin is very big money and there are lots of investment sources available . but bad thing is 88% of them are scam and frauds.. so The teenage have to be very careful and invest after full research and get proper knowledge what he's doing..

Hey should invest them for a short term because kids do not have patience in my opinion.
If he just invest it in some bitcoins for a short term he will make profit for sure because of the halving.

Yeah, it will gain up their bitcoin and get decent profit for them"uilllk" by other way such as minning.

He should be very careful with his investment of $1K to invest into Bitcoin
If he wants to invest then  what would i recommend for them is stick to proven and regulated markets.

Too less for serious investing
Too much for risking in gambling/ponzi
Only reasonable way to profit from this amount is to buy and hold, what can be hard when you need to do something now Wink

Its too early for a teen to be invested in such big deals. I think you should give him small amount to invested and see the
outcome. A mature person should do such important deals.

Right, age of the investor is another factor here to be considered. Like you said, it should be treated like pocket money, to learn how to manage bitcoin.

Cloud companies roi time if you able to achieve is around 3 years last time i checked if the payments keep coming soo i doubt that is the investment to grow bitcoin.I would maybe try some project that with 1000 dollars you can try to develop, the thing is that is risky, but even hold those ammount at bitcoin may give you profit in months.

Shit, did I leave the stove on?
I wonder if investing that free $1000 in cloud mining would be profitable. I saw that Genesis Mining is offering Ether and X11 mining but I haven't cloud mined since Cex.io and I don't know if their pricing is too expensive to make a profit at all? Would it be better to just hold or an investment in cloud mining would yield more profit in the long run what do you guys think about that?
