I bought a new notebook computer with Windows 10 on it. It was cheaper than an equivalent computer with Linux or nothing on it. The reason it is cheaper is that it is full of rubbish that I don't want. Anti-virus (the wrong one), Skype, music stuff, cloud realted software, That rubbish cortana stuff that it's really hard to disable. games, and loads more. I'll use it for a bit longer, and I'll put Ubuntu on it.

I think it's also caused the internet connection here to be capped due to excessive traffic.

And the thing that is worse, because of safety issues - like hackers constantly figuring out new ways to hack all the different versions of Windows - Windows Updates are virtually a safety requirement. The thing that happens with Updates is, all updated older versions of Windows wind up becoming just like Windows 10, except for the appearance that the user sees when he uses his own computer.

I;m not sure how true this report is, but it does seem likely that Microsoft will support the US gov to do this

http://www.disclose.tv/news/a_terrifying_traffic_analysis_of_windows_10/121544

It does show that Windows is not the OS to use for any financial transactions, including Bitcoin.

Im surprised people are even making the move to windows 10, i upgraded to it but it was absolutely horrible. i had to revert back to windows 7. Lots of people ive spoken to are also equally disappointed with it.
