I'm actually working on a 'Golden Rules' thread which I'm going to propose all newbies are forced to read when they sign up here because far too many newbies sign up and their first posts are spamming ref links, copy and pasting or asking about ranks/activity or how signature campaigns work. If you then go on to break one of the golden rules their account is immediately permabanned and IP blacklisted with evil points. I'm getting really tired of all the idiots signing up just to spam ref links or copy and paste content then heading into Meta to ask why their account was banned and that it's not fair because they didn't know it was against the rules  Roll Eyes

It has been observed lately that alts of the high rank members are asking such stupid questions again and again; same people who own the other high rank account are replying on these questions. This one is the new way of spamming which needs to be eliminate.

Proof of this? Smiley

I agree with you for making 1 big thread, when new account is made, maybe there should be, lets say for example 5h period of not posting, nor sending messages to anyone, and they can only see that topic. Something like licence and agreement, when they read topic they "Accept" following rule: "If you make topic about the question that is answered in that topic BAN HAMMER"... What you think about that?

because most of them are idiots that din't even want to research and just want to get the answers right away.
Others are just doing it for activity.

I have a suggestion to make just 1 topic/thread that contains all of the information that most newbies have questioned about so that they don't need to ask it anymore and they would just read it and find the answer right away. I'm sure it's gonna be a long-long thread considering all of the pieces of information it has in a single thread however, it would keep the forum more organized and decrease the number of same question posts.
There's already few:

There you go, why don't they just post it in a single thread. Don't you think this kind of thread gotta be threatened differently, I'm not talking about being pinned or something I'm talking about the thread to be put on the top just like where the news is.
Nevertheless, I reckon this method won't work.

I keep on wondering, why do Bitcointalk new members keep asking the same question on this forum?
Because they don't bother to read everything and just want to get to the answer right away (bad behavior) and some do it, so they could gain potential activity for those weeks (it's the new trend).

I keep on wondering, why do Bitcointalk new members keep asking the same question on this forum? Whether it is replying on an existed topic or even creating a new topic for that question.
Just like in here [Forum ranks/positions/badges (What do those shiny coins under my name mean?], they keep asking the same question on that topic even tho the answer is clearly can be found in the original post.
