The countries she went through were the ones with developed economies and of course the adoption of crypto would not be too difficult. For me this is  not an exciting challenge.   Wink
Agree because she could have not be able to visit my country due to their inability to accept cryptocurrency as.payment. method. Although, it's not illegal but not legal, use as or at your discretion. The most challenge in my country in respect to accept cryptocurrency is they still looked at it as svam, hope they realizes the potentials in cryptocurrency.

According to me, to complete the challenge, it depends on where she goes, if she goes to some Asian countries, she will have difficulty using cryptocurrency.

That's amazing though but quite hard if you aren't techy enough to search those important applications.

I think she has its main bitcoin wallet on her phone then installing the local wallet of each country. She will just easily convert it to fiat after installing the local wallet and will get a transaction. Most of the people are accepting payments through online wallets now even here so I think it's possible.

Great thing she did her homework on countries that are cryptocurrency welcoming she could have been stranded at some point though.
Traveling is part of my hobbies and cryptocurrency has become a darling to me as well so combining the two for a good course would be a complete climax for me

Maybe she was lucky that her country and the countries she was travelling to were actually receiving the payments in cryptocurrencies.

That made it possible actually. As Op said, google was very helpful to her journey so booking for ticket wouldn't have been a problem. This is a modern age and every facet of the age is playing their duty. Thanks to google for her.

Here is a story of a vlogger and co-host youtube Australian woman (Jailde Barclay) who actually travels 7 countries and 16 diferent cities alone using only cryptocurrency. If we are asking how did she know those countries she went to, accepted crypto payments, with the power of "google" it is very possible.

She attended at London for London Blockchain week and since she never uses her digital assets before, it is a big challenge for her to spend it now without using cash.

Her 12-weeks challenge spending crypto paying hotels, restaurants and shoppings is really difficult because bitcoin is bullish at the moment she is travelling.

This could be easier if there's a traveling agency which accepting crypto currency so that you haven't encounter problems during the tour but anyway there's no problem mentioned during the tour , and it would be more appreciable if we can view more videos in every country .

Slowly but surely, it is now quite possible to rely only on Bitcoin as your currency to enjoy the whole world. There are now many merchants or business firms accepting Bitcoin as mode of payments and of course we just use Google for help in locating these shops. Do we already have a clear-cut and easy directory of these business outfits accepting Bitcoin and even other cryptocurrencies worldwide...that can be of big help rather than just rely on Google too much (though it is quite powerful too). Now we can say that travel = bitcoin (or is it the other way around?) for sure. The bigger challenge for me actually is saving more bitcoin so that 5 years from now when the price can be hitting millions (am I dreaming for this?) then I can use mine to travel to exotic countries. Wanna travel with me, guys?

I do not know why problem for her was fact that bitcoin is going up with price, logically it would be just the opposite - you can get more in value of fiat when price of bitcoin is $10k instead $5k. If she spend for example $1000 in one country (probably more), this is around 0.08 BTC. But if she start this challenge 3 months ago that amount of fiat was worth around 0.24 BTC, so where is problem in fact that price is almost 3 times up? You can buy more for less coins, and because of that people buy at low price and sell at high, or they spend bitcoin directly.

The problem here is that physiologically it feels like killing the goose that lays golden eggs - it's great that your coins are worth 3 times more than a few months ago, but they will likely be worth even more in the near future, so she is experiencing a fear of missing out. It's a practical case of well-known criticism of deflationary currency, that says that no one will want to spend it. But the fact that she did spend it, despite the regrets, shows that people can value the present more than the future, and the hoarding is not absolute.

I am glad that this lady is have a good time traveling around the world and spending bitcoin (maybe some other crypto also?), and that she managed to survive swimming with sharks (more then once) Smiley

But what about booking tickets online ?

Maybe she was lucky that her country and the countries she was travelling to were actually receiving the payments in cryptocurrencies.

If one would travel in a developing country like India , one would only be able to maybe buy a coffee using it , same is the condition with ukraine.

Unfortunately she would have suffered a huge loss actually because of the volatility in the few months now .

How it is a risk to use Bitcoin. Is it safer to hold? Isn't Bitcoin supposed to be currency and payment mean? Not everyone is holding their bitcoins. Many use it a lot to buy kinds of stuff, pay bills, whatever,

This lady is just trying to get the fame lol. And she googled before? not once she's in the country? Cheesy What a challenge

This is interesting but the YouTube videos are so little. It is like that she is not updating her YouTube videos regularly, it would be more fun if he is uploading her videos every day about that, telling people places where to go or what to visit that are crypto friendly. She can motivate people to do that by uploading those but she did not do that. I don't even know if this is legit true or not.

This is also my dream, to travel and see how possible to spend cryptocurrency in my journey as well, if not in outside the country I would like to spend it at least here jn our country. The works of bitcoin payments indicates that it is started to grow, started to adopt well by many. I can see the future aheads with it. This woman proves that despite of the volatility of the market, she took the risks to not to HODL but to spend it.

I will leave here the link for the article and her youtube video is also there. It's exciting and amazing to watch her travel using crypto payments only.
