I have the same question. The technology is great. Using smart contracts for loans, but I also need to see more of a use-case for the actual coin.

Perhaps if you could -only- use LEND for collateral.

With the LEND token comes extra features within the dApp. When you open up a borrow option in the dApp you are asked to pay a fee. A % of this fee will be payed out as a dividend to token holders. Furthermore when you offer LEND as a colleteral you are given a discount when opening up a borrow spot.

Features, discount and dividends.

"Our token sale started and ended last week. This was a great success and we reached the cap faster then expected. Our Telegram was going crazy and the support from our community has been mind blowing. We would like to thank everyone who participated and we feel humbled."

Can you please specify what you meant?

The project conducted fundraising and subsequent release of tokens to create infrastructures.

Please, do not hesitate ask your questions in telegram https://t.me/ETHLend

i read as much as possible about ETHlend and i am in. Bought my first bag. Still have a lot of questions but this could be a great project already in some kind of beta (?) stage. Just hit some bigger exchanges and it will hit 0,7-0,10$ ct quickly.

I missed the ICO, but i'm buying some from ED.
It looks very good on paper and i hope they make it happen. Lending is a big business.

Some problem on ethlend.io, trying to browse "Start Lending" using Firefox I got this error page: https://app.ethlend.io/no_metamask

No Metamask
This site requires the Metamask plugin for Google Chrome.

The Dapp is currently running on the Kovan netwok(test network). The platfrom itself is under additional development(new features will occur) for a couple of days.

Hi, still wondering how ETHLend will work.

I could send my worst shitcoins and get ETH loans for it, if the shitcoins gain I will pay back ETH and get the coins back, if not I will just leave them and keep the ETH Huh

Same possibility the opposite way, someone is lending me ETH for any coins, when these coins gain a lot of value, who guarantees that I get them back when sending back ETH?

Actuallly not!

The collateral value should be equal but usually more than the loan amount. By funding the loan which has a colleteral value bigger than the loan amount, lender is able to protect himself from negative shocks which can arise on a token market.

At this moment the team is working on the platform upgrade. ETHLend wants to limit  the variety of tokens which can be used as a colleteral to the most liquid ones such that this situation would not occur in the future  Smiley

I like how ethlend is being transparent with their ICO, mainly talking about lending project that usually are always scam. My only concern is the collateral which isnt so very well explained. If people offer another ecr20 tokens as collateral I think a lot of people won't be lending because there are a lot of shitcoins not worth a single buck.

Bitcore (BTX) - Your Payment Coin

From what I understand, you wont be able to get a load say, 1 ETH with a "shit" coin not worth more than 1 ETH. Secondly, your deposits is kept in the smart contract so when you pay back loaned ETH to the contract address, your deposits are released to you but if you default, it's liquidated.
