good point.. but burning coins would have a similar effect as distributing coins equally among all wallets proportionally to the amount they hold correct?

in this sense it is worth considering the pro/cons of having a larger supply versus having a diminished supply.

lol just looked at the date of this - oops  Roll Eyes

not sure what burning a cryptocoin means, but i hope it is a way of setting aside something. destroying any coin, can't possibly make it anything but worthless. which this coin should not be.

please continue to giveaway to people who run nodes and hang out in chats. I should be able to do so more often now.

stakes? work well i guess, tho everyone has their own rules...it's sopposed to be applying interest to your balance, like savings...or payouts on dividends for the time the qt has been running consistently.

stakes good.

rewards for nodes and chat good.

solo mining good

pool mining good.

exchanges tradeing good.

active support from more then one person in developement. good.

if this continues, and also improves. this coin will thrive. and stand on it's own. as long as we can work out any issues quickly. And keep it live.

By code permanently frozen ? no . nobody will trust  you frozen the coin . i suggest you contact anon136 to hold

the coin or let anon136 destroy the 600m

I don't know "anon136", sorry Sad

Before, I would like to use this method to freeze 600 million vpncoins:
Code:
bool IsStandardTx(const CTransaction& tx)
{
...
        static const CBitcoinAddress lostWallet ("VusLpcbyV6jenaG9dbFJxsBx28Lp9JqNvm");
        uint256 hashBlock;
        CTransaction txPrev;

        if(GetTransaction(txin.prevout.hash, txPrev, hashBlock)){  // get the vin's previous transaction
            CTxDestination source;
            if (ExtractDestination(txPrev.vout[txin.prevout.n].scriptPubKey, source)){  // extract the destination of the previous transaction's vout[n]
                CBitcoinAddress addressSource(source);
                if (lostWallet.Get() == addressSource.Get()){
                    error("Banned Address %s tried to send a transaction (rejecting it).", addressSource.ToString().c_str());
                    return false;
               }
            }
        }
...
}

Today, jl777 proposal this way:

Vpncoin's burn Addresses is:
Code:

by code permanently frozen = is it burning or not?

charitable ICO - sounds good but makes opportunity for scammers. It´s too easy to pretend charity and send money to some friendly account. I´m not trying to say VPNteam are scammers, they seem to be OK, but one never knows. And sometimes even unfounded suspicions can destroy reputations
And any such doubt
long term giveaway = this was original plan, no? this means developers control most of the currency supply and market confidence will be low

I vote for burning. Maybe some coins can be put aside for long term giveaway. But most of them should be destroyed.

From an investors perspection it would be best to have them destroied as otherwise the coins yaou bought are now worth only a third.

For the community it would in my oppinion be best to have a long extended giveaway , rewarding active people for node , irc , video guides , bitnet pages etc.

It would be awesome and a huge deal if you could use some of the leftover coins to get this coin into bitnet , tons of people would notice it and jl777 would bring in a ton of volume and there would be a ton of new great features that vpn could then freely use which would bring this coin to a completely new level.

With the pretty good features we have a realistic chance to get in the supernet by jl777 the developer would just need to contact him.

If you wonder what would happen with the price just look at what darkcoin did after the supernet + jl777 announcement , a solid x1000 , reaching a peak of 63.000.000 $ marketcap in june.

Thank you for your suggestion.
I'm in discussion group of superNet.
Thank you and jl777 .

While destroying those coins would be good, please do consider leaving a sum behind for rewarding nodes and further developments.

This wallet also use to distribute to communities:
