The government crackdown on crypto traders a few years back exponentially increased the number of people knowing about it. Now it's a general topic for news and the government is in indecision about how to handle it. I'm getting asked more and more about bitcoins and altcoins.
I'd say the percentage is well over 50%.

In my country, very fewer people know about the cryptocurrency. And they are only young people who know about bitcoin and some other crypto coins name. 35 Years plus old people don't know about the crypto world. I went to teach someone, and he was surprised!

I guess it's about 35-40% since majority thinks that Bitcoin is a money used in Dark web. Others think it is a pyramid scheme. I guess it's really not that recognized as we do here in our country.

Many of us here in this respective forum about cryptocurrency discussions and matters are from different countries and places, but how much does cryptocurrency is known to our place? I think we can read here some answers saying 10%, or a high percentagr about 70%. If your country reaches a 50% it only neans that your country was so engage in cryptocurrency and really adapt it. And in our country, young people known to bitcoin or cryptocurrency is about 1% in the 100million population.

In my country maybe just around 50-60% people that only know about cryptocurrencies. Yup i think its still low since most of the people economy also didnt support to gain experience or profit in cryptocurrencies.

Only people who have internet access and enough money for daily stuff can make it.

Maybe 40% know and 2% actually have activities or applications with it! We are in a time that the great challenge will be to prove the applications with these coins and the importance of them! I don't consider the speculative value here, because that will always have.

Basically almost all people know about bitcoin. What percentage of people know about cryptocurrency in my country is difficult to name, but I think it is small. Due to the growth of the market in 2017, many people learned about the cryptocurrency, but apart from the fact that it simply exists, they know nothing more.

I don't expect more than 10% since most of people just don't care about what's going on to financial technology nowadays most of them just care about working tirelessly.
However that amount is still quite good considering that bitcoin just here few years ago or a decade

Not 20% in my country.

I think its around 10%-15% and that's totally a lot. The government doesn't have anything to stop for the crypto market as its open for talks and development, in short they are supporting crypto's. There's no need to worry in my country so the number of people shall grow soon after few more years.

Even predict the % also hard in my country (From India). Because here Gov in the mind set whether they should Ban crypto or not. And in normal way we can't Buy and Sell in our own currency. Just the only way Peer to Peer. I believe before this it's maybe over 15% or 20% but now below 10% or 5%.

We have to clarify what does it mean awareness of cryptocurrencies. Does it mean heard about it, or understanding
how it works or using it actively. We have to be on same ground to be able to answer the question.

In my country, I think 50% heard about crypto, but only 5-10% were interested in it. I think we have people afraid of something new.

It's hard for me to say exactly what percentage, but I know for sure that it's not big. Young people of my country are following new technologies, but even many of them have not heard anything about crypto-currencies and do not know what it is.

If I want to be fair, I think that only a minute percentage of the total population in my country are aware of cryptocurrency, and only a small part of those people are involved in it one way or the other. It is not something a lot of people have come to know and embrace yet, but I see that with time, the figures will change and that itself will lead to growth in the crypto industry.

I think it is less than 10% known here. Crypto although gaining reputation and fast growing is still new and relatively unknown. But bitcoin may be more known

If I should view it vividly I will say crypto is still not much popular because most people that are participating in crypto in mg country majority are student and just about 25% of the entirely population are known crypto.

No exact data as far as I know. Almost all crypto is pseudo-anonymous, and address alone is not a good indication of how much people all over the world is already involved in crypto and we can have multiple addresses. So its really hard to estimate how much people knows crypto in my country.

The question of course is strange,do not quite understand!?How many people know about different cryptocurrencies!?if so, many do not know, so everyone has heard mostly coins from the first 10 and then not all, but mostly ether and bitcoin, and ripple and so a simple mass of people usually do not think and do not know about the prospects

in my country, i think it is about 10% because most of the people here in the republic of the philippines are unbanked and doesnt have decent financial literacy. i hope that the government may have projects to boost the knowledge of the people here
