Ouch, rough crowd.  I'm a newbie, dude.  Take it easy.  In theory at least 0.1 btc are at risk, and the winner could even leave me negative trust if I don't pay up.  What am I missing?
There's no money at risk at all. Also, the negative trust is not a risk either, because your account is so new that you can just throw it away.

Just to be clear, once the forum clock strikes 3 AM, raffle is closed and winner is decided based on aforementioned methodology.

"Trust":
  • The winner gives you feedback - they'll put 0.0 in "risked BTC"
  • The winner adds you to their trust list - I wouldn't trust anyone who would do that
  • The winner says "gee thanks" - not a good indicator of trust

If it's #2, I will be making sure that nobody who trusts someone who trusts the winner is on my list.

Only 36 minutes left to enter.  So far, if you enter, you would have a 50/50 chance at .1 btc

No one likes MY raffle?  I guess 0.1 BTC is too small?

Ok folks, so I need to gain trust, I guess, and this seems like a good way to do it.  Enter a bitcoin address in reply, and a winner will be chosen after 23:00 US Eastern Standard time.  I want to make the system self-verifiable, so I am proposing this as a way for everyone to authenticate the winner.  However many replies have been made (with a bitcoin address by unique members), I will divide that number by 2, and drop any remainder.  I will then select the user whose reply corresponds to that number (remember, must be a unique member with a bitcoin address to qualify), and do a SHA-1 hash of the user's name.  If there are under 10 users, then I will select the first two numbers in the hash, and count responses sequentially (circling back to the beginning if the number is larger than the number of responses) to find the winner.  If there are under 100 users, then I will select the first three numbers in the hash, etc.

ALL YOU NEED TO KNOW: Reply with a bitcoin address for a chance to win 0.1 BTC.  All I ask in return is a positive trust rating when the winner confirms they were paid.
