Ghost wallet mean, Its no one owner that address. Im just copy wrong the charracter Sad
Unlike Bitcoin there is no checksum in the usual ethereum addresses, so you have to be very careful when you use them.
Not everyone knows it but there is a checksummed format for ethereum addresses. The EIP55 one.
https://github.com/ethereum/EIPs/blob/master/EIPS/eip-55.md
It's exactly the same address as your current one, but in a case sensitive derived form.
You can obtain it by typing your ordinary address on etherscan.io for example.
If your wallet doesn't support the checksum feature, you can use online validators https://tokenmarket.net/ethereum-address-validator

Hello,

Accidently send USDT to ghost erc20 wallet !
I have question, im transfered USDT wrong to ghost wallet. Its possible recover it? Its ERC20 wallet !

Thank you very much !

If you send the funds to the wrong address, you will not be get back funds. Because of this mistake, you have learn a new experience. Never send funds without checking two or three times. Be careful before sending the funds next time. I made the same mistake myself once. Luckily there was a small amount so no major damage was done. Now I don't send any funds without double checking.

My phone got virus. I have couple check the address but them hacked in the core of app. Sad

Its Metamask. Thank you for your help ! Sad

Wait what? Metamask App? Metamask does not have an APP in the first place, If I am right you are a victim of fake app/phishing. In the previous year some people reported that there is a fake myetherwallet/metamask on playstore but it got remove already but for sure someone downloaded it. Playstore is not really safe please always check the official website for the original link. when it comes to importing your private always be cautious.

Do you still remember where you have sent by mistakenly to some exchange address or any other random address? If it is an exchange address then you can reach out to them for a refund. Somehow maybe if they can import the amount and refund but still not sure about the refund but if it is some random address then I don't think so there is any hope.

Have anybody tried to read How to lose your Bitcoins with CTRL-C CTRL-V that is previously suggested by tvplus006? Maybe this also happened with the OP. In suggested thread Loycev described all details how it can occur. So read this to learn something new.

Btw since you already send the USDT to other address which is controlled by other one so it can not be recover as I know.

The CTRL-C and CTRL-V type of stealing crypto from their victims is called clipboard hijacking. After copying a wallet address then when you paste it or CTRL-V then the wallet address is different. E.g: Copied address 1a2b3c4d5e6e7f8g9h0i and when pasting 2s1as23sgE9552xhe295 then that's how you'll lose your crypto funds without triple checking if it's the right address copied and pasted. This may have happened to op since op did state that sent usdt to an address that op didn't have access.

I very strongly doubt they will go back. Install official applications from official sites to avoid these situations.

It is obvious that you have malicious software installed. And if you used CTRL-C to copy the wallet, CTRL-V could change the address to send. You can read more about this here: https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/how-to-lose-your-bitcoins-with-ctrl-c-ctrl-v-5190776 But in any case, if you do not have a private key from this wallet, you will not be able to get access to the lost funds.

Its Metamask. Thank you for your help ! Sad

To ensure the safety of your funds in the future:

  • Do a factory reset on your phone
  • Update your phone's Android/iOS version
  • Don't download random apps off the internet
  • If you're using Android, probably unroot your phone
  • After all these, create a new Ethereum wallet with a new set of private keys. Just to be sure as your older wallet's keys might have been exposed

Optional: purchase a hardware wallet if you got a good amount of money on BTC/ETH/ERC20 tokens.

What app were you using specifically? There's a chance that you probably downloaded a fraudulent app in the first place. One thing's for sure though, I suggest doing a factory reset with your phone, and update your Android/iOS version to the latest version for the security updates.

Then unfortunately your funds are gone. Sorry. Make sure to ALWAYS double and triple check addresses when you're sending funds to prevent issues like this. Hope you didn't lose that much.

So you sent your USDT to a random wallet which you don't know the address? Or you misstyped an address, somehow? If that was the case, there is no thing you can do to recover it other than try to contact the owner of the address (if any?), which should be pretty much impossible.

Not sure what you meant by "ghost erc20 wallet", but basically, if it's a wallet that you don't have access or the keys to, I'm afraid there's nothing you can do.
