This is the new message for when you get an autoban:

Quote
Sorry XXXXX, you are banned from posting or sending personal messages on this forum.
You have been permanently banned by a forum moderator, probably due to spam or plagiarism. You may appeal here, but your chances are not good: [email protected]

Notice the "probably due to spam or plagiarism" part. That's the big difference.
I don't know since when this new kind of ban message was implemented but couple of days before I suggested Give an indication why an account was banned! this
Now a days meta section is flooded with the topics related to why the account has been banned?

When someone got banned they will get a message like this on their profile
""Sorry (username), you are banned from posting or sending personal messages on this forum.
You have been banned by a forum moderator. You may appeal here: [email protected]""

But instead of just saying banned we can add the reason why they were banned like this below
""Sorry (username), you are banned from posting or sending personal messages on this forum because of plagiarism.(or why he was banned)
You have been banned by a forum moderator. You may appeal here: [email protected]""

Which can clearly avoid huge spams from META section.

Getting 10 merits for single post from different respected members on the forum was a nice achievement on your part.

It was an achievement. It's just a shame that exact post was also plagiarised: https://www.reddit.com/r/btc/comments/9qdexu/you_think_were_deviating_from_bitcoins_philosophy/

The gall that this guy has to ask about the ban and boast about the merits he received when he copied that exact post. What a fucking joke this forum is. The irony of the post he plagiarised also must be noted. This guy doesn't give a fuck about bitcoin or this forum. It's just a cash cow to him.

I wonder why people try to bypass the forum rules.  In the greed to promote to next higher ranks sometimes some self suicidal steps are taken which results in kicking out from the forum (banned accounts).

Trying to be over clever or cheating results getting punished someday.

Wait, what? Did the ban notice change or am I just imagining things? I don't think it used to say anything about plagiarism.
...
Something has happened, but I don't really want to try it out with my own account, if there's a new ban notice or not Cheesy
Yes.

My guess is you plagiarized something, and I'm also fairly certain someone will show up with the evidence of that.

Both plagiarized from here I think: https://www.quora.com/What-will-be-the-future-of-Bitcoin-Will-it-ever-rise-again

RenatoVillarinJr is also banned.

I know that RenatoVillarinJr's text is not original, I published his quote for quickly checking on the forum. Smiley

I Checked the Modlog but was an autoban where the bot can't even point to the topic that I supposedly plagiarise

You plagiarized this text for example:

I've been an active member on this community for quite a while
You've been a member with the kabum21 account since May 30, 2018.  That's hardly "quite a while" IMO, although you did manage to earn merits from some of the most respected members for a single post you made.  Somehow.  I think they were being overly generous, but everyone has different standards.

The reason you're looking for is here, and you quoted it yourself:
You have been permanently banned by a forum moderator, probably due to spam or plagiarism.

My guess is you plagiarized something, and I'm also fairly certain someone will show up with the evidence of that.

Helloo! I've been an active member on this community for quite a while and cared about my account, to the point of trying to do some quality posts to earn some merits (even receiving merit from theymos himself) and join some bounties and different activities, but today I received a message saying

"Sorry kabum21, you are banned from posting or sending personal messages on this forum.
You have been permanently banned by a forum moderator, probably due to spam or plagiarism. You may appeal here, but your chances are not good: [email protected]"

I Checked the Modlog but was an autoban where the bot can't even point to the topic that I supposedly plagiarise, I would like some answers because we all know that sending an email to that address is pointless

thanks!
