Everybody should remove their sell orders on BitFunder and watch the panic buying which ensues.

Looks pretty calm....

Learning the troll avoidance button :)

People loosing out on traded shares.. not very entraining dear friend..
If it wasn't me, it would have been someone else. Nobody forced you to make poor decisions. My advice: buy and hold. Amateurs will do nothing but lose when they try to play the day-trading game.

a big FAT +1

I learned this the hard way in the techbubble of 99/00

Ouch and well this is still a bit before the HFT robots era in bitcoin so it is possible to day trade still haha

Sorry for the choppy seas people, that was my fault. Needed some cash, and .006+ works for me. 12x increase, can't complain.... Glad some of you were able to get some cheap shares. To those of you that sold on the way down... you've learned a valuable lesson, hopefully you don't make the same mistake later this week.  Wink

How many did you sell?
Enough to push BF down from .0075 to .006. Broke my heart a bit because I'm sure that's a vast undervaluation, but I'm still holding plenty for the long term. Didn't mean to start a panic but it was sure entertaining to read through the last few pages.

this retarded dumping has atleast created another wave of arbitrage possibility between btct and bitfunder and strengthened the bid walls significantly. overall this dip has strengthened this asset a lot.

thanks, retarded whales and lemmings.

How can you arbitrage between BF and BTCTC?

1. Sell at one exchange
2. Move BTC
3. Hope that the price hasn't moved in the meantime
4. Buy cheaper shares at other exchange

So what then? You have a bit more shares but the share is worth less.

If you are willing to hold for the long run, this could be a huge (up to ~15% at some point) increase in shares (and thus dividends) and the gap between BTCT and BF should be smaller when this stock gets more stable.

Theoretically, if people do the arbitrage and move from BTCT to BitFunder won't this mean leveling out? (more shares on BitFunder). But then again, you have a VolanicEruptors or two who have a ton of shares moved to BTCT and we're back to square one (or square minus two)

The share price will level off but the number of shares on each site will remain constant. The number of shares will only change if Ken transfers some from one site to the other, not if someone sells out on one site and buys back in on the other.

Missed the drama there with the stockprice crash, but looked like an interesting ride.

In any event, some interesting reading over at the ASICMiner thread where friedcat has said that they won't do pre-orders anymore. This seems to echo what I and others suggested in the ACM thread; that pre-orders are a bad idea for building up customer faith, especially given the amount that can go wrong.

Any thoughts on this?

Historically, it means fail.

Mind it sending BTC from BTCT to BF will take a minimum of 4 hours.. so not a good option now.. on the other hand  BF to BTCT takes hardly an hour..

I've been waiting two hours to get my BTC out of weexchange, stuck on "Processing."  What a crappy system.

I generally watch my transaction on blockchain.info as WX requires 6 confirmations. It's easier then re-logging into WX multiple times because you get logged out for being idle.

Hasn't even shown up on the blockchain yet though, the site hasn't transmitted it yet.  I sent a later one with 3 BTC and it went through automatically.  This one is for around 8 and it's stuck in processing.

Edit: And I'm going from weexchange to btct, so should only take three confirmations.
